Sadly disappointing and mis sold

Day 1- contacted night before and collected promptly at 9am - good start. By 9.45 we had stopped for petrol, been told we didn’t need to wear seat belts as we were in the back of the car and then because the guide wasn’t wearing a seatbelt in the front had been flagged over by police - the driver and guide shrugged and silently decided to keep driving presumably thinking we hadn’t noticed so didn’t feel particularly comfortable already so we were fairly quiet and uneasy. Sitting in the back we felt like observers while the guide and driver chatted and seemed to disagree about the order of itinery and which way to go. After a good time I had to ask where we were going. Most of the places in the list were visited at speed - guide took photos to show we were there but not shared with me. Less than an hour at Dharavi walked through at speed with little info shared - a quick toilet stop and returned to the hotel before 3 as he had already been having phone calls from disgruntled tourists who he was late for. No bottled water as detailed, despite being aware my husband was feeling unwell we did not even stop for a drink or lunch. Day 2 - this is not made clear on the listing for the trip SO BE AWARE - dropped at the boat stop and ticket bought / you are to travel on your own and meet guide there. We sat for 30 mins waiting then 1 hour travel unaccompanied. BONUS - the guide Nitin at Elephants was kind, respectful and really informative so the 2 hours spent with him were what was expected. Nitin on his own deserves 5 stars Returned to boat and as we were staying close to the port it was suggested that we just walk to the museum for the afternoon so no need for a guide or driver to accompany us so they had no more to do. Sat for 45 mins waiting for boat to leave and hour journey back on our own, This was booked as our final trip of a 25 day holiday but sadly was very disappointing. Completely over priced, not accompanied for travel - which is one of the reasons you book guides and tours in a strange place and definetly mis sold for day 2. Sadly I would not recommend this particular company.

Great tour with incredible Guides

Sahil was an outstanding tour guide! We saw so much in a short period of time. His details about the history, the city and the culture was incredible. The tour of the slums was so detailed and Sahil was able to share his personal experiences from growing up in the area. Although it was hot and humid the tour was outstanding! Highly recommend. Nitin was our local tour guide at elephanta island. He is from the island and allowed us to see his village, home and left time at the end of the tour to enjoy a drink at the restaurant overlooking the water. We were able to get into the caves without a lot of tourists. Nitin capitalized on this opportunity and took 50+ photos of us without having to deal with the crowds. He then gave a detailed tour about all the caves and history of the island. Great tour made even better by a great guide!

Two days in Mumbai!

We had a wonderful tour both days. On the first day, Nisar showed us all over Mumbai! We saw the Gateway of India, Prince of Wales museum, Kantinagar Shwetambar Murtipujak Tapagach Jain Sangh (Jain temple), Hanging Gardens (so beautiful), Mani Bhavan (Ghandi House), Haji Ali Dargah (a mosque on the water), 🥤 had a nice snack at the Hajiali Juice Centre, Dharavi Slums (WOW), Dhobi Ghat laundry 🧺, and then another snack at Sujata at the end of the day. He was very knowledgeable and explained so much to us. The second day, our first local guide picked us up from our hotel and took us to the Gateway of India to catch a 1.5hr(ish) boat ride to Elephanta Island/Elephanta Caves. We met our island local tour guide Nitn, who toured us around the caves and explained each of the beautiful carvings and cave structures. We should mention there are a LOT of steps to get up to the caves so if you need to stop and rest, ask your guide and they will stop. We enjoyed lunch 🍽️ with a view at Chalukya Restaurant, and then he helped us find a Geocache 🗺️ on the island (per our request)! Both days were jam packed and we learned a ton about the area and the people of Mumbai. Highly recommend!
