We really enjoyed our bike ride through the hills (thankful it was an e-bike on the uphills)-so nice to experience this beautiful region in this way. Our guide, Tommaso, was terrific, sharing his local knowledge and chatting about biking in the area. Seeing in-person how Parmigiano Reggiano and Balsamic vinegar have been created for generations was a highlight. We ate delicious samples and learned the difference that time can make in the flavor of these favorite foods. A lovely day, a bike ride, food, a great guide in a beautiful area-delightful!

What a view! Thanks to the tour guide, Simone, for providing such a great e-bicycling experience in the beautiful Castelvetro areas, with grand hilltop views, a hidden jewel of vinegar making at a Church tower, and a cheese factory started 1383!

Tour guides were great and the tours were wonderful. Such a beautiful country! Despite providing our heights however the correct size bike was not provided for my daughter which caused some challenges. I wish I would have known that before the start of the activity.

    Response from Host, Jul 2025

Thank you so much for your kind words about the guides and the overall experience – we’re really glad you enjoyed the tour and our beautiful country! We’re truly sorry to hear about the issue with the bike size for your daughter. Although we always do our best to match the right bikes based on the information provided, we clearly missed the mark this time, and we understand how that could have impacted your experience. Your feedback is very helpful, and we’ll make sure to double-check future setups more carefully to avoid similar problems. Thanks again for joining us – we’d love to welcome you back anytime for another adventure!

    Great activity from Modena

Simone was a great guide on our e-bike tour and easy to communicate with leading up to the tour. We stopped and had a tour at a Parmigiano factory and balsamic shop. The scenery was beautiful!

Amazing tours, sights, tastings, and experience!

Wow, what a great experience! Since there was bad weather, our tour was adjusted to remove the e-bikes in exchange for being driven around and the addition of a wine tour/tasting after the cheese/balsamic vinegar tours/tastings! We coordinated ahead of time for a shuttle pickup/drop off for the 6 of us at the train station and made our way to each of the 3 locations. The tours were detailed, the tastings were abundant, and our guides were joyous. Worth the trek away from the “big” cities.

Excellent day biking in the countryside and seeing Parmigiano and balsamico production

    Gary_G, Sep 2024
Wonderful bike ride through beautiful countryside with our friendly guide Simone. We visited a Parmigiano Reggiano factory and were able to see all the steps of production and aging, and then taste different ages of cheese. We then biked more and visited a wonderful couple who make traditional balsamico for the consortium as well as for themselves. We received good explanations about how the balsamico is made, and we were able to taste different ones up to 40 years old. It was a great experience.

Rolling down the beautiful hills overseeing the picturesque landscape with the breeze in the face was fantastic. Of course the Balsamic Vinegar tour was exceptional- learning about the history and how it is part of family tradition in the region and the care and decades that it takes to make a good quality natural vinegar. And wonderful guides who made us feel very comfortable.

A unique way to experience the most beautiful part of Tuscany

    Ethan_G, May 2024
My friend and I got a wonderful private tour with two great guides. They knew all the best paths with amazing views and the weather was perfect in mid-late May such that the views went for miles. The cheese factory was very interesting and each step of the process was explained. The balsamic vinegar part was good too; the samples were very small but the charming building and vinegar-maker made that part stand out too. The start and end point in Castelvetro is stunning, and in our case, the hosts provided direct transport to and from Modena for an extra 50 euros, which really simplified the trip. NOTE: These bikes are NOT fully electric with a throttle you can press to go forward. Instead, you need to peddle and an electric motor assists when necessary. This made all the hills very easy and it was not that strenuous despite the length, but be aware that you will be peddling yourself the entire ride.

I just loved seeing the countryside on the ebike. The beauty of the rolling hills, the vineyards and the pride people have for their life's traditions is just amazing. Alice and Frencesco were amazing guides. They have grown up in this region and love sharing their knowledge.

Truly wonderful day with Alessandro and Marta and the E-Bike tour thru the Modena countryside with stops at a Balsamic production facility as well as a Reggiano Parmesan facility..both beyond just “informative” ..you left both facilities with a true understanding of not only the process..but equally the history. Barrels of balsamic that have been in use for over 100 years. I’m sure it’s easy to drive a car or take a taxi to see both factories..but if you do you will miss out on half the fun of Alessandro and Marta leading you thru some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. It is not to be missed..one of a kind experience.

    Tour in e-bikes da consigliere

    Michele_M, Aug 2023
