We had the best experience with ‘Mexican Tales’, our driver Noe and our guide Ric made the trip fun and informative. Choosing the early start was great, we avoid the traffic as they describe it. Their communication was great and timely. Gracias Mexican Tales.
It was fantastic getting there before the crowds. It really feels like you have the place to yourself, more or less, for the first hour. A great experience and a fascinating place to visit!
This was the highlight of our trip because not only was the trip beautiful, but also incredibly engaging and informative. Maria was a 5star tour guide who did the entire trip in both English and Spanish. Each thing she shared was short and sweet and I never felt like I was missing out on any of the translations. I appreciated the way she pointed out different art and architectural styles that we should take note of along the way, so much so that towards the end of the tour we could identify different characteristics on our own!
The trip was early, but totally worth it to enter early without a lot of people in your photos. As the morning progressed it got more crowded so it was nice to experience it both in a peaceful and bustling environment!
Had a great time on this tour. The scheduling of pickup was easy and the transportation was nice and comfortable. The tour itself was informative and I appreciated being there so early to enjoy the space with little to no people. Would recommend for first time visitors
This tour was a perfect amount of time to experience Teotihuacan. It took all the stress of getting there and buying a ticket. Our guide Aline was informative without being boring. Really appreciated the extra photos she had to help us understand what we were seeing. I learned a lot and can't imagine trying to explore on our own.
Driver picked us up right on time at 6:45am - we had one quick pit stop on the way there to use bathroom (bring pesos ) and get some snacks / coffee / etc / we were one of the 1st groups to arrive with no crowds. We spent about 2 hours exploring and were home by 12:15 - No surprises or attempts to sell us anything we weren't expecting.
Honestly don't think you need anymore time that this tour provides. See it , learn about it , get some amazing pictures which our guide helped us with , safe travels there and back.
Amazing experience, got there before the crowd. Totally worth the early wake up! Our guide Ara was great. Highly recommend adding this to your trip.
Wonderful experience! Guide was very knowledgeable and professional. Was able to see the temple site before the large crowds arrived. Had ample time to take in the sites, browse vendors, and shoot photos. Beatriz was an amazing guide, and our driver Memo (Mimo?) was excellent. Would highly recommend this tour to others planning to visit the pyramids!
It was a wonderful experience getting to know such a historic place. It is full of wonder and awe. You get to climb the moon temple and walk through the street of the dead, while the guide gives history nuggets and speculation on what had happened to the civilization.
The tour to Teotihuacán was incredible! Adán our driver kept us safe and got us there in a timely fashion, and Gerry, our tour guide, did his thing. He was so knowledgeable on the subject, answered our questions and was very patient with us. If you’re coming to CDMX, don’t miss this tour to the temples!
Guided by the knowledgeable Gerry who offered fabulous information, this was a great trip to see the pyramids and ruins before the crowds and heat! Would recommend.
The early start is totally worth it! We were the first group to enter the Teotihuacan area and with our lovely guide, Beatriz, we learned a lot about the unique history and culture of the area and the impressive pyramids. Highly recommend this wonderful tour which has no tourist traps, so you can relax and just enjoy, appreciate, and learn.
Excellent guide! We learned so much! Even though we had to wake up early for this tour, it was worth it because the grounds were not crowded. By the time we left, it was hot and crowded. Definitely one of the high points of our trip to Mexico City.
We liked this trip very much.
Great contact with organizer, they picked us up from hotel, we spent great time at Teotihuacán with very kind guide.
100% recommendation!
We really apreciated the experience. The guide Gerry and the driver Mario were the best!!! Very gentle and well knowed about the Place.
Well paced tour from start to finish, with pick up/drop off from hotel it is very conveniente, Avril was great tour guide.
Going early in the morning before the crowds was absolutely the right decision, and honestly that was the highlight of this tour. Seeing Teotihuacan before it became packed made the experience much more enjoyable and gave us great opportunities for photos.
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this tour based on the guide we had. Our guide, Aline, seemed either very new or not particularly knowledgeable about the site. Before our visit, we spent time researching Teotihuacan ourselves and also visited the National Museum of Anthropology’s Teotihuacan exhibit, so we had some background going in. During the tour, we noticed SEVERAL inaccuracies, including the basic names of the two main pyramids, (pyramid of the sun and pyramid of the moon) which was disappointing. Our tour guide was also unfortunately more focused on taking photos of us around the sites than actually giving us any factual information.
The drive from Mexico City was about 40 minutes and it felt like a missed opportunity. It would have been great to learn about the surrounding area, the history of Mexico City, or the region during the drive, but there was very little information shared. Throughout the tour, I found myself having to ask questions just to get more context and explanation.
I don’t write this to be overly critical, but I do think it’s important for future visitors to know that the quality of the experience depends heavily on the guide. There are likely more experienced, knowledgeable, and stronger English-speaking guides available who could make a visit to such an incredible archaeological site much more meaningful.
If your priority is getting into Teotihuacan before the crowds, this tour accomplishes that very well. Beyond the early access though, I would recommend researching other tour companies or asking specifically about the guide you’ll be assigned.
Whilst the guide was professional and friendly, their English competency can do with improvement to help deliver the historical content more effectively.
Great communication for pick up. Knowledgeable guide. Will recommend and travel again in the future!
Van was pretty cramped. Didn’t see everything at the site. Only found out the next day when we went to the anthropology museum. Guess it was a standard tour
Best to go on the early morning tour and get back to the city by around noon. It’s can get really hot out there and not much shade. Aaron messaged me the night before with the meeting point since it changed, which was helpful knowing in advance, good communication throughout the trip. Thank you Aaron and our driver.
Raul & Mister Hugo were so gracious, communicative, and informative. A very lovely and interesting visit to Teotihuacan, they made it very easy and enjoyable. Muchas gracias Raul!
Amazing half day trip without the crowds
Small personalized bus shuttle experience
Take lots of pics without thousands of people around
Of course the most amazing experience e Teotihuacan is — The place… What a trip. But the trip was made even more worthwhile — educationally, and socially, was our guide Maria. She led us thru the history, iconography, and artistry, allowing for learning and exploring. She was fantastic! Thanks so much for a great trip1
This was a fantastic tour. Very communicative guides. Hugo was a great driver on a difficult day of driving (markets closed off streets). Gerry was extremely kind, knowledgeable and enthusiastic throughout the tour of Teotihuacan - we learned so much!
It was an early wake up but they made a stop halfway to Teotihuacan which was a great touch for anyone needing the restroom, coffee or snacks. Water and snack were provided for the drive home.
Take some walking shoes, a hat, and enjoy! Our guide Max was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We went up the first level to the Pyramid of the Moon and it was quite a workout! It's quite steep and scary, but exhilarating. Most of the souvenir vendors accept credit cards and of pesos. I took the half-day tour, which was enough time to enjoy the ancient site. I highly recommend it.
Max was our tour guide with Ali as our driver. Both were excellent. Max was very professional and helpful taking questions.
This tour was exactly what we wanted. It was informative, a small group, got an early start, and it didn’t take up the whole day. Our guide Maria and driver Mario were great. Maria shared a lot of very interesting facts and she was excellent about keeping us on schedule.
I would do this tour again.
Maria was great, very helpful and knowledgable and funny. Communication, pick up and drop off were very easy - overall, the tour was perfect if you are trying to pack a bunch of CDMX sightseeing into a brief time!
Juan and Lalo were great!! We learned a lot and had a great time! The trip was quick and enjoyable. We were glad we picked a tour with a guide. Thanks!
Amazing to see this ancient history come to life. So glad we toured before the crowds. Quite warm with intense sun. Raul was a fantastic guide and Mr Allan a great driver. There were 12 of us squeezed into a small van so the kind drive was hard for those of us 4 across the back seat.
