The guide did not show up. We arrived early and then waited an additional 20 minutes past the start time hoping they were just running late. They were not and never arrived. We received no personal communication from the company with an explanation or apology about this - we eventually received a generic email from Viator noting we were being given a refund. Really poor customer service.

Good way to start our first Mexico City vacation

We did a personal tour of the central historic district with Eric the day after we arrived in Mexico City. We knew that many iconic attractions are closed on Mondays and this Monday was also a national holiday, but Eric gave us a good overview of Mexican history and culture and filtered what attractions we should prioritize while visiting. This was exactly what we were looking for in a 2 hour initial tour. He also gave us some tips on places to eat including how to experience The Tile House's restaurant various dining options and how to navigate Pasteleria Ideal, where the locals go. Eric was very accommodating with rest stops and a helped with a trip to the currency exchange. You would do well to take this intro tour.

We absolutely loved the tour with our guide, Eric. He had a really strong storytelling ability that made the tour not just informative but entertaining too, weaving together different parts of the city center to give us a holistic view of the history of Mexico. We felt this tour was the perfect length of time because we got so much interesting history without feeling overwhelmed/exhausted by the end. And, he seemed like a genuinely great guy, answering all our questions. One of my favorite experiences I’ve booked.

Eric was a great guide and we learned a ton about CDMX. We saw Bella Artes, the post office, main square, the church of San Francisco, and much more along the way. Mexico City is a sprawling city so 1.5 hours does not give it justice. Eric was a good tour guide, experienced and knowledgeable about his city. Visits made to the Palace of Arts, post office, Zocalo and San Francisco church. We also did a detour to the Grand Hotel where Spectre was filmed. Overall an enjoyable tour and recommended.

My friend and I were so excited to experience this walking tour and it did not disappoint! Our guide, Matilde, was extremely knowledgeable. She had great energy and made the tour super fun and educational. We visited the palaces and cathedrals; we even stoped off at an amazing bakery for sweet treats! It was a great way to spend our first day in Mexico City!
