I didn’t expect so much fun. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. Although we were all strangers, we had a good group. Omar and Leslie kept the fun going. I haven’t drank so many shots in 20 years! We had a nice lunch and got to take a lot of momento pictures. Go with a group you know and it will be even more fun!

In the event of force majeure (due to congested canals and traffic), it may be impossible to reach the island and try pulque, especially on weekend afternoons. But don't worry, the party won't stop, our team will be prepared with typical regional food.
Optional: we could visit the Axolotl Sanctuary to see the Mexican Axolotl, with an extra cost
All guests are guaranteed a chair on the boat, boat chairs are the same size for all guests, our staff will assist guests with wheelchairs or babies to get on and off the boat.

Ivan and his crew were so much fun and managed our group of kids and adults well. Highly recommend going in the morning if you want to have a party vibe but not too much. The timing is great for seeing the beautiful surroundings peacefully while still getting a feel for what it is like later in the day at full throttle. Fun and worthy experience.

We actually missed our boat tour on the 19th because of protest traffic in the city but we were able to get with the company and reschedule for the next day, the 20th at noon! Our guides were Ivan and Des and they were amazing! Fun, friendly and our group had a great time. I highly recommend a Xochimilco boat tour with Ivan and Des! Muchísimas gracias chavos!

We took this boat tour based on the advice of an Uber driver in CDMX! And we are glad we did. It was an absolute fabulous time. We had drinks and a nice lunch of flautas. We played games and just had an absolute great time. Des and Hugo were the best guides. We laughed and met some other travelers. A great time was had by all. I would 100% recommend this specific boat tour. You won’t regret it.

Diego and Ivan were awesome tour guides who made the boat tour so much fun, I could see it being less interesting with other guides. Ultimately its a chill boat trip down a lazy river with lots of colorful scenery, which is nice, but its the people you're with that make the experience truly special. My gf and I had a blast, would recommend.

Fun experience in Xochimilco

We had actually booked another tour which was canceled at the last second and were fortunate enough to join this tour at the last minute. We did not want to be on a party boat with a lot of drunk people. Fortunately, this was not that type of tour. We were given the chance to try tequila, mezcal, and pulque. However, that was in order to experience Mexican culture, not to get trashed.. Our tour guide made sure everyone on the tour had a wonderful time. The people on our tour ranged from small children to elderly people, and He made sure everyone was engaged and having a great time. We saw a replica of the Island of the Dolls, went to an artificial Island for a tasty lunch, and learned to play loteria. We also got to enjoy a mariachi band that floated up and joined us for a bit, as well as floating merchants. We were never pressured to purchase anything though. Throughout the experience, our guide told us about the history of the Xochimilco canals and pointed out fun photo opportunities.

This was more of a drinking party experience than we expected (or wanted). I was traveling with my wife and son and I needed to drive home. I didn’t want to get drunk. That said, our guide Luis was funny and entertaining. He explained the history and culture… and brought a fun spirit to the night with different games. (Most games had an optional drinking element, and Luis made everyone feel comfortable, despite interest in drinking. The boat is basically a long table with everyone seated at it. Our tour had 3 groups of 4, 3 and 4 people. In the end we were all laughing and singing together. The food was basic (chicken or hibiscus wrapped in a tortilla, with various items to include: lettuce, cheese, sauces, etc) All in all. A fun night… provided you like spring break! ;)

Super fun afternoon and Ivan was excellent and kept the party going. Our kids enjoyed it but there was definitely less to do for kids with most games being geared towards drinking. Having said that, they did love it and said they would go again!

This was a calm and interesting experience. But then we went on a weekday morning. Apparently, if you like lots of activity, crowds, and noise, go on the weekend! Each boat holds about 20 people with a long table and chairs down the middle where you can bring a picnic or a feast. Our tour provided a lunch stop that was quite good. Our guide, Francisco, provided some history and welcomed our questions in English. Our boat driver, Jose, guided us through all the other docked boats with a little bumper boat action! They don't hesitate to bump other boats out of the way if empty and blocking the way! But picture a Venetian boatman poling these boats down the canal. They train all their lives for this. We saw some boys learning with their papas. It was a nice experience in Xochimilco, southern Mexico City, in the remaining water from a prehistoric lake.

My wife and I went on this boat tour with a friend. We had Ivan and Omar as our guide. It was a blast and will definitely do it again. To those of you who speak English only, Ivan can speak English perfectly. He also speaks other languages perfectly. We had music and a little dancing on the boat. The food was good. You will be introduced to a couple different types of toquilla. Overall we had a great time.

A party on a boat! Very fun tour, our guide Diego kept the drinks flowing and the party going the whole time. Be sure to use the restroom before you depart, there is one about halfway through but I would recommend it for emergencies only.

We loved traveling the canals with guides Omar and Des. We are normally not tour people, but they made the experience really fun. We especially liked the island stop with the flautas, and the espresso martinis.

We thought this would be more about culture and nature but it was more of a booze cruise. However it was a lot of fun! Hugo and the young woman, I forgot her name, made the trip very enjoyable, even for my husband who doesn't drink and the flautas were delicious.
