It was a beautiful experience visiting the pyramids during the excursion. Having a meal in the grotto made it even more special. Our guide explained every corner of the site in great detail, which made the whole experience truly unforgettable.

Friendly and knowledgeable guide. Pick up from our hotel was on time. Tour was around three hours, which was the perfect tempo for us. In this three hours you visit the sun, moon and serpent temple.

I booked this tour here after exploring a few different options and platforms. Someone I spoke to did a tour with a different company and had a poor experience, with it being long, poorly explained, and filled with many stops to tourist traps. However, this tour with Experiencias Mexicanas was quite the opposite. The bus they took us on was quite spacious and nice. They were very punctual, being the first company to pick up from their group from the location I chose. And all the staff, Marifer, Reuben, and Omar were wonderful. Reuben was our English speaking tour guide and he was knowledgeable and passionate about Teotihuacan. It was great having a guide who really cared for the subject. And no tourist trap stops, but plenty of time at the archaelogical site (about 3 hours). There are some areas I would have loved if we had maybe 30+ more minutes to explore total at the site. And I was very curious about the museum and wish we had the chance visit it. But these are minor things. I'd highly recommend booking your tour with this company!

After a long journey, we stopped twice to go to the shop. within less than an hour, and then another 20-minute break to climb, and then a third 20-minute break to climb again..

We very much enjoyed our tour!! Here's what we wished we'd known beforehand and so it might help you enjoy it even more: 1) The bus pickup will be prompt. There is some information given on the bus, but not by the guide you will have for the tour itself. 2) We recommend to bring water and snacks since none are provided, but you can buy them before the tour starts and use the restroom which will be the only time until the end of the tour. 3) The tour includes a good amount of walking over cobblestones and up and down steep stairs, about 3k in total, so wear sturdy, comfortable shoes. 4) Other than the time with the guide (David was GREAT!), we had 30 minutes to climb/explore at the Pyramid of the Moon, 20 minutes at the Pyramid of the Sun (no climbing, more to shop) and 15 minutes at the Pyramid of the Feather Serpent (you might get more, I think we were running long since our tour was spoken in both English and Spanish) 5) Bathrooms and limited snack options to buy at the end of the tour. Our guide David was very enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and informative and seamlessly went from English to Spanish.

We visited Teotihuacan on the short tour with no additional stops. If this is what you’re looking for, this was perfect. It’s about a 40 seat bus. It picked us up in Roma, made a couple of stops in town to pick up others, then headed off. I’m going to make a special note here for our tour guide, Yair. Knowledgeable, engaging, and just had a ton of positive energy. The tour itself is just over two hours with a few breaks for you to climb the pyramid of the sun and explore other areas on your own.

Wonderful tour of the pyramids and adjacent palaces

Excellent half day tour with Emanuel, who made sure to let us know about all details concerning the vast site of Theotihuacan. It was not too rushed, thus that people of all ranges of fitness could enjoy the views from the top of the pyramid as well. We saw frescoes and reliefs of the palaces as well. Since this tour is a half day, the museums were not psrtbof the visit (keep in mind that the site is so large that you need a full day covering a walking distance of 7-8 km sjould you want to do all there is)

Overall, it was a great experience. The tour group was small, with about 15 people, which I really appreciated. The guide was excellent and clearly very knowledgeable about the area’s history. He seemed genuinely passionate about the subject and did a great job sharing the stories behind the sites. The only awkward part was at the beginning of the tour. When we were picked up, we were brought to a generic van, and after simply asking for our names, neither the driver nor the organizer said anything further or acknowledged the group. This left everyone feeling a bit confused and uncomfortable during the hour plus ride. It would have been helpful if they had at least explained what was happening or what to expect. Fortunately, once we arrived and the guide took over, the atmosphere improved and the tour became very enjoyable.

This was an excellent educational tour perfect for people who have interest in the history of Teotihuacan. There were no extra side trips or sales recommendations to deal with.
