Very unorganized and uninspiring tour. First they didn't make it clear if it as private or group. Second they didn't pick us from the hotel entrance and we had trouble finding them. Third after reaching the first spot we kept waiting over 30mins for other parties to join us which was a waste of our time. Next there was another lady who was doing a half day tour with us even though we were doing a full day tour. The itinerary was so unclear nobody the driver or the guide knew the full plan and timings. The guide we got was not audible as he spoke very fast and very faintly. Plus we got no time to do any shopping. We didn't even cover all the spots that were promised. At one point, the guide left us at the secret garden and we wanted to contact him but the driver or administration didn't give us his number even after asking multiple times. In the end we were so disappointed we decided to do explore Marrakech on our own and we didn’t even complete the 6-7 hours.
Please don’t waste your money on this trip. Also, this is one of the more expensive tours as compared to others.

Apologies for the confusion regarding the type of tour. It's clear from the price you paid that it was a group tour, and the lack of clarity regarding this aspect added to your disappointment. It's important for tour operators to provide clear information upfront about the type of tour and its specific inclusions.
We appreciate you pointing out this discrepancy, as it helps others make informed decisions when selecting their tour options. It's unfortunate that the tour did not meet your expectations and that the experience fell short in several aspects.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we apologize for any confusion caused. We hope that your future travel experiences are more positive and enjoyable.

While this tour was not too terrible, our tour guide took us to a store that sells spices and we were completely ripped off. These guides take advantage of tourists who trust them to show them their beautiful city! I was utterly disappointed by this.

Pick up location was wrong. Taxi was over an hour and a half late. We paid entrance fees to catch up with another tour group just as they left. We didn't get any lunch. The guide left without saying anything. We didn't get into the gardens......just an all round waste of a days holiday.

the guide was not in agreement with the agent Easy Transfer for Marrakech. The guide didn't respect the tour he waste our time into the soul where He took always money in front of our eyes from our buying. we havent been able to see all the site expected. we have requested a reimbursement to Easy Transfer. More them this the guide brought us in the Riad Omar for lunch (never go in this place) and pretend payment of the lunch from us.at that point we haven't paid because lunch was included in the rate paid, he was very disappointed I checked with Francisco at Easy Transfer who told me there has been a misunderstanding. after that the guide was completely changing his approach with us. left us for the day saying his job was finish . the driver picked up us and wanted to deliver to the hotel. at the end we forced him to take as at Jardin Majorelle as expected. in any case we lost 3 site to visit . the driver was very nice making us excuse saying that it was not the programm and that the guide took the liberty to change the programm and the lunch. I have picture of this guy so if someone needed just let me know.

Rasheed was the best tour guide and made our experience in Marrakech exceptional. His thoughtful explanation and knowledge was impressive. He took great care to make sure we were having a great experience.

The tour guide was nice but I felt their was confusion about the tour plain.

A very informative tour with a very knowledgeable guide. A little tip wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking, sometimes at a brisk pace! The lunch was excellent, very tasty and plenty to eat. Just be aware you will be taken into shops/co-operatives by the guide which were quite full on to get you to buy something, so you have to be prepared to say NO firmly but politely, unless of course you want to buy from them. I would still definitely recommend, as you are with a guide you don't seem to get bothered/hassled by the Souk/street sellers.

Tour was, for the most part, fair. Haj, the guide, appeared to be more interested in bringing us to shops
etc where he, probably, received a kick back. As advertised, the palace and burial grounds were visited.
Tour consisted of extensive walking etc, especially to the restaurant. We thought we were walking to the
US and Haj kept saying its on the corner. After lunch we visited the Menara Gardens on our own, Haj
having left the tour before lunch. Driver was unable to get us back to the pick up point and dropped us
off a taxi ride away. We would not recommend this tour to others and feel strongly that it was not worth
the almost 200 that was paid and certainly not up to par with other Viators we have taken.

Disappointing overall. Fortunately I had checked emails the night before as the meet up wasn't at the Riad as arranged, pick-up ran late but the driver was nice so I can live with that.
The trip started off well enough, saw some interesting historical sites. The guide seemed at first knowledgeable but answers to questions weren't great. Delivery was okay, clear speaker, but lacked the anecdotes that can keep interest did find out about his two wives and there was a little light joking though. It then became a matter of walking briskly through Marrakech without much in commentary on the city or life in it. When he greeted people he knew we didn't feel included, as other guides can make you feel, or that we were benefiting from his familiarity with the area. That would be disappointing in itself but what was the kicker was that we were actually disadvantaged by his knowledge! Yes, the infamous shop stops that you get - not one but two in a single morning. You kind of expect these but two to very overpriced shops was a bit much. One included a long talk on pharmaceutical products, interesting enough I suppose but despite the shop fellows comments, the shops prices were several times those of a stall round the corner I could order the products cheaper in the UK. Looking at the positive, a quick shoulder and back massage was offered in the shop which was well worth the little extra! The second stop was an overpriced gift shop. At this point the group was feeling like the trip was a con game of sorts. A guide steering towards friends is one thing but taking people, who are supposed to be in your care in a foreign city, to shops you know are way over local price is just wrong imho.
Bit more walking and then we got dropped off at the restaurant for dinner. As it became clear that the guide was going to be leaving us, I pointed out that I had signed up for a day trip, not half day. I indicated out the printout where it mentioned gardens, so he said he would tell the driver to take me there after the meal. No guide for the second part of a guided day trip but better than nothing I thought incorrectly it turns out.
Restaurant was ultra-touristy and whilst the starters were good the main was not up to the standard of everywhere else I ate in Morocco. Service was terrible asked three times for a drink, price not included, but despite there being quite a few staff it arrived as the meal ended and the manager? got very shirty when we didn't leave a tip.
Waited a while for the minibus to turn up which dropped off the rest of the group a nice couple, meeting them was probably the best bit really. The driver then took me to one of the gardens, said that I could take 45 minutes to look round. One long queue later I found out that the entrance fee was more than I had in change and that they didn't take cards. You know, the sort of information it would be nice to know before hand - the point of booking a 'guided tour' is to be guided. With no cash machines around I just sat around until the minibus came for me.
This was my first full day in Marrakesh and, along with the attempted 'tanning market' hustle don't ask, it could have easily put me off. Fortunately, the lovely people in the Riad helped me find the city tour bus stop it isn't out of service as some parts of the internet suggest and I had a proper introduction to the city via its recorded commentary the next day! Marrakesh takes a bit of getting used to but by the end of the week I was really quite taken with the place. The amazing 3-day tour I booked through Viator helped a lot with liking Morocco overall.
I can't recommend this tour, getting a guide book and travelling round yourself would be as good. It included a meal so that pushed it up to 2 stars but only barely.

Very bad Experience. We booked a day tour, but our tourguide was only up to lunch with us. Our guide, Abdullah, did the tour very fast, hounding us again and again. In the afternoon, we saw our tourguide with another Group. Again and again he told us not to stand by to see anything, because it was not worth it. The tour only went until 3pm, but actually it would be a full guided day tour.
Mary K, Dec 2017
This tour is essentially a sales pitch. The driver pick us up first and then head to other stops for two other people. Then he went to go pick up the guide. So there was a lot of wasted time. Then we saw a palace and a cemetery, and then we were take them to a carpet store and a medicine shop. The Guide then dropped us off at a place for lunch and left. So we were stranded for two hours until the driver came back. I do not recommend

We had a great time with this tour. Our tour guide, Najet, shared a lot about the history of the places and monuments we visited. She also had a lot of tips on the shopping and going out at night, because we had an all girl group. Our driver was also very kind and accommodating.
George s, Dec 2017
Generally the tour was ok.
It didnt feel special though.
The monuments and gardens was generally a good experience.
What I would recommend/change:
The tour guide was a helpful good man,but because of our age difference he couldnt be engaging with the info he provided.
The food at the restaurant at the mid-day break was good. The place looked like it works only with tourists and seemed like nothing great generally.
I would recommend to offer a variety of places with pictures so people can choose and pay accordingly.
Adriana M, Dec 2017
I am glad the could accommodate me on a different day but I wish the tour were more organized. Also the guide took us to see carpets and berber pharmacy, which was great, but I would have preferred if we had time to go to souks or co-ops for some legitimate shopping.
Susan M, Dec 2017
We had a good tour! Our guide was nice and informative. We covered a lot of ground which enables you to get an overall feel of Marrakech.

Pick up not at the riad, but in Jemaa el Fna square. Our guide left before lunch after telling us that he doesn't know what our program after lunch will be.We had to call the travel agency. The driver took us to the gardens and left us to wander by ourselves for 30 min/each(not nearly enough time)

Now this really was an informative tour with our fantastic female guide. Her English was perfect as was her local knowledge of history and geography.
I would say it's an excellent introduction to Marrakech , to find your bearings and areas for further exploration.
We went to palaces, monuments and various souks in the city there was no hard sell pressure in these places when we were with our guide.
We had an amazing lunch included in pricewhich was incredible value for money.
We actually underestimated how long the day would be and had to leave the tour early 330 pm as well had an evening tour to prepare for...so you definitely gets to see and experience loads for your money. 5 star rating without a doubt.

Ali is fantastic. He clearly loves his city and was full of interesting bits and pieces. It was relaxed enough so we never felt like we had a timetable but interesting at the same time. Ali kept is moving along so we got to pretty much everything but we could also tell him what we wanted to do and see and he just adjusted. Having a guide for the souks is a real must for a first timer because it can be a total maze! All the shops do a total sales job on you but didn't harass you to buy if you didn't want to. It was a super experience!
Georgia S, Sep 2017
With this tour we got our first impression of medina and we are very satisfied! We had our sightseeing with a professional guide and also wander in the narrow streets of the city, enjoying the flea market in almost every corner of it. However, we were taken to some specific shops, which we felt uncomfortable with since we wanted to shop random in the medina.
LuizJether_V, Sep 2017
That's not what we expected. Started well going through Bahia Palace and Saadian tombs, but turned to a bad experience when the guide directed us to some shops souk and spent too much time on them when they tried to sell us something. Also the
lunch at restaurant felt like not fresh and I wouldn't recommend it. At least, we ended up at Marjolet Garden, a wonderful garden to visit.
Alun S, Aug 2017
Another priceless day out, I would recommend to anyone.
katie_sherlock, Aug 2017
This tour was amazing!! Highly recommend, in fact I don't think our trip would have been as enjoyable without it. Our driver Driss, was amazing and our guide, Ouidad was the best! Friendly, knowledgeable and really knew how to keep it interesting. Saw all the sights and gave us great tips!
Emma D, Aug 2017
This trip was very informative and a great start to the holiday. I recommend this tour when you first visit Marrakech as it gives you a good overview of places you may want to explore further. Our guide was very informative and was able to answer all our questions. One of the attractions listed was not open on the day of our trip so the guide took us to the gardens first. This meant we only had 15mins to look at the gardens and it was very rushed. The gardens should be the last stop so that you can enjoy them, we will be going back and paying the entry fee again to see these properly.
Ana C, Apr 2017
Must do it!!!... we did it first thing when we got to Marrakech and we got to see most of the Medina in one day. You will walk a lot! but if you get a good guide like we did he will tell you a lot about the Moroccan culture and its past. Loved it!!!!!!
Clasca_D, Dec 2016
On our first day in Marrakech our guide Foued showed us the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian tombs, let us through the Jewish quarter and the Medina and showed us Menara and Majorelle Gardens. A great way to experience the city and get to know the chaotic street live. We were taken to some of his friends shops, which we felt uncomfortable with since we had no intention to buy something.
Derek P, Mar 2016
Interesting as the guide was very knowledgeable and fun, giving us plenty of time to take photos and have a good look around.

Al guía solo le preocupa llevarte a las tiendas donde tiene comisión, y ojo en el restaurante concertado no entra la bebida cada cerveza 50 dirhams (5 euros) robo máximo, solo entra el agua
