Great tour. Very informative and well done. Some confusion about where to meet the guide. Would have helped to have a pin dropped from google maps. The port is very chaotic.

Ann was very friendly and she was very good about telling us all of the history of the area and the sites we visited. There was a good variety of sites to visit and things to do.

We spent several hours touring Intramuros with our excellent guide Anne... walking, riding an open bus. She gave us so much interesting information about the Spanish walled city of Manila. We saw the cell where Jose Rizal was imprisoned, am elaborate mansion of a wealthy family, a couple of churches, the city streets. with many educational institutes. And were treated to local ice cream from a vendor.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're delighted to hear that you had an excellent time exploring Intramuros with me. It sounds like the mix of walking, riding the open bus, and visiting historic sites made for an enriching and memorable tour. Seeing Rizal’s cell, the grand mansion, and the bustling city streets truly brings Manila’s history to life! And of course, no tour is complete without a sweet sorbetes treat. 🍦
We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!

This excursion was wonderful, we really enjoyed it. Transportation from the ship port to all of the activities was very good. We learned a lot about Manila and the Philippines history. The excursion was well planned out and very enjoyable. Afterwards they dropped us off at the mall at our request. It was a four dollar taxi ride back to the cruise ship. We saw a lot of old churches as well as the old Fort and old town and lots of museums.

Our tour was with ‘don’t skip Manilla’ a small tour company passionate about their city. Anne was a wonderful friendly and informative guide. She did a wonderful job of digesting 400 years of history into 4 hours. I learnt so much about Manilla and the Phillipines which gave me a very different perspective. Anne tied the historic places we visited together as we travelled through history. Not just a history tour of buildings but an in depth exploration of the history behind the buildings and spaces. So Don’t skip Manilla take this tour

We were not cruise passengers but they accommodated us, and met Andrei, our tour guide by Fort Santiago. The history story telling was excellent, kudos to Andrei. It was a good refresher for me and my husband who studied in Manila. It was hot and humid (usual for Manila), the quick ice cream stop after Fort Santiago was a pleasant surprise. We also like the kalesa ride around Intramuros at the end of the tour. If you are looking to do a history tour around Manila, don’t skip this one.

Our guide was very good and friendly. We could easily understand her English. The excursion to Intramuros and to the museum was interesting.

Manila was a port on our cruise itinerary that we probably were unsure of but this half day tour with Don’t Skip Manila certainly changed our minds and it became our favourite port of call.
The tour takes in most of the same things a cruise ship tour will but with a locals insight, Ann our guide was an enthusiastic advocate for Manila. It’s mainly a walking tour with a short drive to the start point and back to the ship but the pace is relaxed and we got to see way more than the ships tour who we saw being regularly hearded on and off of coaches and rushed around attractions.
Anna’s enthusiasm was infectious and we learned so much about the history of Manila and the Philippines under different rulers and the love they have for Jose Rizal, we were also able to visit Casa Manila which was a fascinating insight into the way people lived in Manila years ago.
Don’t miss Manila and certainly don’t miss this tour!
