Great experience! I recommend this tour! Our guide, Chloe, was very nice and very knowledgeable. There is so much food included, make sure you arrive hungry. I also really like the Jeepney and side-by-side ride on the way to the different food venues.

I would go so far as to say this local food tour is an absolute must on your trip in Manila to experience the culture, foods and people. I saw a lot of reviews saying Nel was the best, but this is an understatement. She’s remarkably intelligent, witty, energetic, inviting and knowledgeable about the foods that you will try on your tour. We were accompanied by our instructor in training Pat and he was a wonderful source of Philippine knowledge, culture and history having worked for the Intramuros governing board. I recommend arriving early - not just because it takes forever to get back and forth locally but also because I had the pleasure to meet Nel and Pat and sit down at Starbucks to chat with them. Before we even started the tour I knew we were so fortunate to be in the company of these two, but I can not express how inviting they were and now much you will experience Milan as a local eating extravagant foods (food Trivia was my favorite) and getting the local lowdown. Nel had us smiling the entire time and her charm is infectious as she jokingly says offers you a tamer food as a peace offering for something you may have been less comfortable with just before or that the plantain is a palette cleanser before the next food. Your guides will post live action photos post the tour. Thank you Nel and Pat, you have made my experience in Manila and I will never forgot this wonderful experience you created for our group. Let me know when you’re in the Bay Area so I can show you the same hospitality.

Come hungry!!

Stanley_W, Jul 2026
Rather than spend a week sampling foods here and there, this is a great, safe, and comprehensive way to get the flavor of Manila's tasty street food! We came hungry but were stuffed when the tour was over. Our friendly and smart guide, Chloe, took us to several spots where we were treated to 15+ servings of Manila's most iconic snack foods and drinks, some were savory, and some were sweet, but all were full-size. It was fun, delish, and filling!

Chloe was an amazing tour guide! She planned everything perfectly and we had some great conversations within our small tour group. There was a LOT of food so come hungry!

Great! Go hungry!

Candice_L, Jun 2026
Amazing! It was a great way to learn about the culture. Chloe was very knowledgeable and let us take time to take pictures and go at our own pase. Some food was different but nothing we couldn't handle. Make sure to go hungry. There are multiple options at each location!

Taste of Manila as a Local!

Brian_E, Jun 2026
For our first day in Manila, we wanted to visit an area that had fewer tourists and would give us a sense of how some Manila residents live. The food tour provided an excellent background for accomplishing this. Each stop was carefully selected to introduce food that is common in the Philippines. I appreciated how the tour gradually introduced food items that may be less commonly known to Westerners. In addition, there was no pressure to eat any food item that you weren't comfortable with and the portions were more than adequate. Chloe did an excellent job explaining each food item that was offered and when it is was generally eaten by Filipinos. The last stop also provided an opportunity to visit a popular restaurant and enjoy several dishes. I would highly recommend it especially as you are recovering from jet lag and want an easier tour.

Happy and Full

Nelson_W, May 2026
Had an amazing time with Chloe! Unlike some food tours where you get only tasting samples, you get the full size portions at the multiple stops on this tour. Good thing I had a light lunch on this day because I was definitely full by the end. The surprises along the way were also a nice touch. Definitely would recommend!

Make sure you come hungry to this tour

Amazing experience!!

Autumn_F, May 2026
Absolutely amazing!! Chloe was an absolute gem, very kind, funny and amazing at explaining the food and some little facts about the food as well. Almost had to roll back to the hotel, due to her ensuring we had enough of the foods to try. Would 100% recommend this to anyone who comes to the Philippines.

Book It!!

Delicious delve into Chinatown.

It is a great immersion into the blend of Filipino and other cultures cuisine. Come hungry and dress cool to enjoy the experience. Thoroughly recommended.

Come with empty bellies because there is A LOT of food!

Betty_W, Apr 2026
Really fun and exciting tour lead by Chloe, who lead us through a local neighborhood to try Filipino food. Without another tourist in sight she took us to various stalls and shops and explained all the food we were trying and how we should order it if we were on our own. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone else who wanted a chance to eat local food without feeling overwhelmed by the choices!

Foodie Heaven!

Great food tour with WILD tastes

JohnPaul_V, Mar 2026
What a great afternoon trying Filipino food with some fun "extras" thrown in to feel like a local. PLENTY of food, but the food is meat-heavy, with some wild bits thrown in. Enjoyed how Chloe told history of the area, the food, all while making it fun. Definitely a food tour to take.

One of the best food tours! Do not miss!

Brandon_B, Mar 2026
What a fantastic experience! Chloe led us on a culinary adventure taking us through a vast array of Filipino treasures and exciting dishes. Savory, sweet, smoky, grilled, fried, fresh, cold, hot. All were experienced within a 3-hour tour. I've been on a number of food tours and this was one of the best. But please come hungry. There is a lot of food to sample, and I feel so much more knowledgeable about the history and pride of Filipino food, and I encourage you all to consider this tour. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent Tour

We have done food tours around the world and this is a really great one! You will definitely leave stuffed and there's a wide variety of food to try - including some very adventurous stuff. We took a tricycle and a Jeepney to get around for two short legs, which was SO fun and an unexpected surprise. Chloe is super professional and answered all of our many questions about the Philippines and its food. Thank you, Chloe!

Overall, it was a wonderful experience! Nelly and Jian were fantastic guides—so knowledgeable and friendly. The mom-and-pop restaurants truly delighted us, and we enjoyed sampling a variety of local street foods, beers, and liquors. Nelly's cheerful and humorous personality made the tour even more enjoyable. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour to everyone!

A+ Manila Food Tour

Great introduction to Filipino street food! You better show up hungry because it's a lot of food your introduce too. Chloe really worked hard to make sure you have a good experience, I would totally recommend you take this food tour while in Manila.

Happy and stuffed!

Venus_W, Feb 2026
My husband and I really enjoyed this food tour. Our tour guide, Jian, was very informative and personable. As others had recommended, don’t eat before the tour because you will be stuffed. We highly recommend this tour when visiting Manila.

Great food tour with unique flavors!

Spencer_S, Feb 2026
We had a great time and got to try all sorts of food and drink. There is something for everyone and definitely some types of different foods we had never tried before!

10/10 Best food tour I've ever done!

Andy_D, Feb 2026
BEST. FOOD TOUR. EVER. I don't want to reveal too much as there are some great additional parts to this tour but I will say if you are going to do one tour in Manila, make it this one. Chloe is wonderful and the food is all fantastic. Come hungry. I have never had a food tour that offered this many different foods or in the quantities. This is a 3 hour banquet. I was stuffed. If I could score more than 5 stars I would. This is a must do.

REAL street food, people, experience

Clemson_T, Feb 2026
The word for this 5-star foodie tour? REAL. Real Manila. Real people. Really good food. And a truly exceptional host in Nel. If you scroll through my reviews, you’ll see I’ve done street food tours all over the world. They range widely in flavor, polish, and authenticity. What I’m always searching for is the “true” taste of a place — the kind of experience that feels less like a performance for tourists and more like a window into everyday life. In Manila, with Nel and two terrific fellow travelers, I found it. And it was unforgettable. We kicked things off with a bouncing ride in a motorbike sidecar to the top of the street. It was thrilling, slightly snug (as Nel wisely warned us!), and completely part of the adventure. From the very first minute, we weren’t just observers — we were in it. Then the food began. We sampled siomai (a Filipino take on Chinese dumplings), followed by an array of sizzling BBQ meats and street-side specialties that I won’t fully spoil here — because discovering them is half the fun. Let’s just say: if you’re looking for real street food, this is it. No watered-down flavors. No staged experiences. Just bold, delicious, authentic bites. As we wandered down lively streets buzzing with energy, we tried lumpia — a hearty Filipino egg roll filled with grass shoots and tofu — crisp, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. We also had fried quail eggs, which I’d happily call the Filipino cousin of a Scotch egg (and in my opinion, lighter and tastier!). A fried banana on a stick rounded out this stretch of the tour — simple, sweet, and absolutely scrumptious. Next came a ride in one of the Philippines’ most iconic symbols: the Jeepney. Originally crafted from post–WWII American jeeps, these colorful, chrome-covered vehicles are public transportation and rolling works of art all at once. We hopped aboard and headed off for puto — soft, steamed rice cakes in a variety of flavors and textures. (And yes, if you speak Spanish, the name may cause a chuckle — but in Tagalog, it means something entirely different!) The sweets were delightful: subtly sweet, beautifully textured, and wonderfully varied. Even as we began to feel pleasantly full, Nel had more to share. We stopped for classic pub-style bites: lightly crisp fried tofu, stuffed fried peppers bursting with vegetables, and ice-cold San Miguel beer — the perfect pairing. And as a bonus? We got to hear Nel belt out some karaoke, another essential Manila tradition. It was the kind of spontaneous, joyful moment you simply can’t manufacture. This wasn’t just a food tour. It was Manila in motion — sidecars, Jeepneys, sizzling grills, laughter, music, and stories shared over cold beer. It was culture, connection, and community. If you want an authentic introduction to Manila — its flavors, its rhythms, and its people — this is the tour. Huge thanks to Nel and my fellow adventurers for a truly immersive and memorable experience. This street food tour is the real deal. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
