Jian was a wonderful guide. I ended up being the only guest that day, so I got a private tour with him, which was fantastic, personal, and allowed for a lot of detail. We toured the St Augustin Church, Casa Manila, and the Fort Santiago plaza. Weather rained us out for a longer stay at the Fort and Manila Cathedral, but that left room for a Tricycle ride through Intramuros and a deeper discussion over coffee, between locations. Highly recommend Jian and his company for this and the other tours they offer. If we're back in Manila I'll definitely look for more experiences with Jian!

This is a VERY informative tour. The guides, Jian and Patrick, are extremely knowledgeable about Filipino culture and history, and the sites visited throughout Intramuros are fascinating. The tour structure and pace was perfect. I highly highly recommend this tour. It was absolutely worth the price we paid and I'd 1000% do it again.

Jerome was a phenomenal tour guide! He was very informative, funny, and helpful. Also, he was very accommodating and cordial.
I would definitely recommend Jerome to anyone interested in learning more about the Filipino language(s) and the history of the nation. Thank you, Jerome!

It was only me and my mother. The tour guide was nice and knowledgable but he rushed the tour. We didn't finish all the spots in the itinerary. I would not recommend.
Response from Host, Mar 2025
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found our tour guide knowledgeable and friendly, but we’re truly sorry that the experience felt rushed and that you weren’t able to visit all the spots in the itinerary.
It appears there was a miscommunication, as our guide believed you preferred a faster-paced tour due to the hot weather. We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding and regret that this impacted your experience.
Your feedback is very important to us, and we truly appreciate it. We always strive to provide a well-paced and enjoyable tour for all our guests, and we will take this into consideration to improve our communication and ensure a more relaxed experience in the future.

We do similar tours everywhere we go in the world and thought this tour was very expensive for the experience that we received. There were only 3 main stops on the tour (Casa Manila Museum, San Augustin Church and Fort Santiago) and it was over very quickly. Our guide Jerome was a kind enough gentlemen, however he seemed quite quiet and we had to try and keep the conversation going to find out more about the places we were visiting. Granted, the tour will be more suitable for a larger group (my wife and I were the only people on the tour for that day). Overall, we thought we could have gotten a better experience with a free walking tour.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly value your input as it helps us improve our services.
We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations, and we understand how important it is to feel that you’ve received great value for your time and investment. While the tour is designed to provide a concise yet enriching experience of Manila’s rich history, we appreciate your comments regarding the pace and the number of stops. We’ll certainly take this into consideration as we look for ways to enhance the itinerary and overall experience.
Regarding your guide Jerome, we’re glad to hear he was kind, though we’re sorry if the interaction fell short of your expectations. We will work with our team to ensure that all our guides engage more actively, especially during smaller tours, to create a more dynamic and informative experience.
We understand that smaller groups can sometimes lead to a quieter atmosphere, and we’re constantly striving to make all our tours equally engaging, no matter the group size. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We hope you’ll give us another chance in the future to provide a more memorable experience. Safe travels on the rest of your journey!

Jerome was magnificent! I wanted to learn about the Spanish settlement of Manila. I learned more than I expected and found Jerome to be a very knowledgeable guide! I was by myself and found the tour tailored to my interests!

I had an exceptional day tour with Jian! His expertise in Philippine history, Spanish influence, and Filipino resilience made the experience captivating. We visited the historic San Agustin Museum and Church, Casa Manila, a monument constructed as a tribute to World War II casualties, Manila Cathedral, and Fort Santiago. Jian's outstanding knowledge and attentive nature added to the enriching tour!

Jian was fantastic and we all learned so much about history of the Philippines, from Spanish colonialism to WW2. Even relatives from Philippines learned a lot of new things. Highly recommended.

Jerome is very knowledgeable about the history of the Philippines. We went to key spots in Intramuros. Plus we had an opportunity for a break in the three hour tour which was nice to get out of the heat. I learned a lot and it was fun! Jerome has a good sense of humor. Definitely try it when visiting Manila!

Love this! I was the only one on the tour but Jian was patient and very knowledgeable. Got to know not just the history but also the current and ancient culture in Philippines! Really enhanced my understanding.

Jian is an excellent guide, friendly and informative. He is very skilled in local and regional history with an easy going yet highly informative manner.

Jian was an amazing tour guide. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. My tour was comprised of me and another solo traveler. By the end of this tour, we both opted to go to his next guided tour later that day. His facts were very interesting and I got so much more out of Intramueros than if I just went by myself without a tour guide. He also gave a lot of good info about Manila as a whole and recommended places to go while visiting. I felt very comfortable as a solo female traveler with this tour.

We enjoyed a fun and informative morning with Jian. He knew so much background and history that gave us an in-depth view of the history of the Philippines. I would highly recommend Jian as he brings the sites to life with the history he shared.
NgaiSSandy_Y, Sep 2022
We learned a great deal about Philippines history and culture in the 3 hours with Jian. From the church museum to the fort, Jian really brought things to life.
