Departures from Cebu City or Mactan are normally between 3 am and 4 am. The journey covers approximately 120 km and takes around 3 hours. Upon arrival in Oslob, we'll begin our whale shark watching activity, where guests will have a chance to snorkel and swim with these gentle giants (around 30–45 minutes). Afterward, guests may enjoy breakfast at their own expense — silog meals for smaller groups, or a boodle fight-style meal for groups of 5 or more — before heading to Badian for canyoneering. We’ll proceed to the Kawasan Falls canyoneering site, where we’ll trek, slide, and cliff-jump through turquoise river pools for approximately 2 to 3 hours. At the starting point, guests may choose to add an optional 850-meter zipline (additional fee), before beginning the descent to the waterfalls. At the end of the trail, a local lunch will be waiting for us at the base camp. Once everyone is ready, we’ll begin our drive back to Cebu City or Mactan, with an expected arrival around 7 pm.

This was, without question, one of the best excursions we’ve ever taken—and we’ve traveled to several countries and booked many tours through Viator! Our guides, Jim and Joell, were absolutely outstanding. They were fun, encouraging, professional, and made us feel safe every step of the way. From the unforgettable experience of swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob to the adrenaline-filled canyoneering adventure and breathtaking turquoise waters of Kawasan Falls, every moment exceeded our expectations. The highlight of the day came from our 15-year-old daughter, who turned to us and said, “This is the best trip of my life.” Coming from someone who has traveled internationally and experienced many amazing tours, that says it all. Jim and Joell went above and beyond, helping us capture incredible photos and videos while making sure we could simply enjoy the experience. They kept the day fun, never rushed us, and their positive energy made the adventure even more memorable. The only area for improvement was the organization at the whale shark stop. It would have been helpful to receive more guidance before arriving. We ended up changing into our swimsuits in the car, weren’t aware that the restrooms required pesos to use, and a little more direction on what to expect would have made the morning start much smoother. This wasn’t the fault of our guides, but rather the overall process at the whale shark site. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and Jim and Joell truly made the day exceptional. If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate—book it! The Perfect Island-Hopping Adventure in Cebu

Our 3-island hopping tour with Cebu FUN Group was incredible! The itinerary was exactly as advertised, but the beauty of the islands and crystal-clear water far exceeded our expectations. We were fortunate to have sunny skies and warm water all day, making this half-day trip feel absolutely perfect. The snorkeling was fantastic—we saw beautiful marine life and even spotted a barracuda! Our guide, Kenneth, was phenomenal, sharing fascinating history, local insights, and plenty of laughs throughout the tour. The entire boat crew was outstanding. A special shout-out to one of the boat hands who literally dove into the water after I accidentally dropped my wallet off the pier. He recovered it with all of my IDs and cards inside, and I can’t thank him enough! Overall, this was a beautiful, relaxing, and adventurous experience with amazing people—both above and below the water. Highly recommend Cebu FUN group!

Solo Travel Done Right!

If you’re traveling solo, I can’t recommend booking a private tour enough. It was one of the best decisions I made during my trip. My guide, Abam, was incredibly kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable from the moment we met. One thing I really appreciated was that he wasn’t overly talkative, he knew how to read the room and let me enjoy the scenery while still sharing interesting information along the way. It was the perfect balance. As a solo traveler, getting good photos can be a challenge, but Abam went above and beyond. He happily took countless pictures of me and even knew creative camera tricks. At one point, he turned my camera upside down to create a really unique perspective, and the photos turned out amazing! Those little touches made the experience even more memorable. If you’re on the fence about booking a private tour, especially as a solo traveler, do it. I highly recommend this experience, and if you get Abam as your guide, you’re in excellent hands!

Our day started with a 530 am pick up at our hotel, to the port where we rode a 2 hour ferry to Tagbilaran City. As soon as we disembarked, Joanne was already waiting for us with our name so we really didn’t have to wait and look. It was a private tour with the driver Rommel. Joanne was a great tour guide and a photographer. They drove us back to the ferry to Cebu. The driver who picked us up in the morning was already waiting for us, to take us back to the hotel. I would recommend this for a family tour.

Our Favorite Excursion in Cebu!

⭐ 5 stars. This was our favorite excursion of the entire trip. Alex was our driver and he got us from Cebu City to the canyoneering site safely and efficiently. The drive is long, but that is just part of getting to this part of the island and completely outside the control of the tour. When we arrived at the orientation area, we were a little unsure at first. It was behind the main road in a couple of older buildings and felt a bit hidden. Once the tour started, every worry disappeared. The guides were amazing. I wish we had gotten the name of our main guide because they took photos for us the entire time using my phone. They captured so many great moments while keeping my phone safe through jumps, swimming, and climbing. Our group had a mix of athletic and non athletic people and the guides stayed with everyone the whole time. One of the guides took such great care of my boyfriend’s dad, who was struggling in some areas. He helped him through the easier routes, made sure he felt supported, and even helped with his shoes. The service was truly next level. The canyoneering itself was incredible. I am afraid of heights and water, and so is my boyfriend, but something about the experience made us feel safe and adventurous. We ended up jumping off every cliff and doing the rope swing. For anyone not ready for that, there are alternate paths, so it works for everyone. The scenery was unreal. Blue water, waterfalls, hanging vines, canyon walls, wildlife. It felt like a movie. There were even a couple of spots along the way where you could grab snacks or water and pay later. After the adventure, we had lunch cooked by a local and it tasted homemade and comforting after hours in the water. We cannot recommend this excursion enough. It is a must do. The only con is the long drive, but it is absolutely worth it. WOW WOW WOW.

Definitely an adventure but things could be improved

Great day. We did exactly as described on the listing. Even though I rated this as a 5, there are things everyone should understand. The entire day lasted almost 16 hours - from 2 AM to past 5:30 pm. This could be improved by giving people a set amount of time at lunch and at rest stops. People took advantage of no set time, and the rest of us had to suffer while we waited. The guide was efficient at the stops in telling us what to do. What would have been nice is a little more commentary as we passed things on this incredibly long ride. I know this wasn't specified, but it would have made the day go by faster. The experience with the whale sharks was quite an adventure. But is is somewhat ruined by the massive number of people in the water that kick and push you and also by the scuba divers under the sharks sending up constant bubbles so you can't see. The scuba divers seemed uninterested in the sharks - just in taking pictures of themselves.

This tour was so much fun! Tyler was an excellent guide and Marvin was a great driver. It was a super quick tour that covered lots of the city highlights so you can see a bit of everything in half a day. We really enjoyed trying some of the local food along the way too - the fried banana is a must!! Angel is an excellent guide and also 😇 angelic personality. Albert is the best driver and also provided informative commentary. Tour is very organised with sufficient time at each location. A must-do tour when at Cebu. 2pm start to 7pm finish was great time for tour. Angel and Albert are amazing hosts and role models for Philippines.
