Overview

Use your time in Palma to learn more about Mallorcan wine with a tasting session in the heart of the old town. Taking place in a cozy 'colmado' wine store, the tasting includes plenty of samples along with cheese and cured local sausage. As a nice extra touch, the group is limited to just four people so you get personal attention from your host.

Really Nice Tasting of Mallorca Wines

This was a really fun tour where I learned a lot about Mallorca wines. The tasting host, Sebastian hosted it in the basement of his wine shop. He used to be a sommelier so he was able to explain the pairings of different wines with different foods. We tasted the various wines with various meats, cheeses, jams and chocolate. We were able to sample several different wines. All of the wines came from Mallorca which impressed me.

If you want to learn about wine, this is the place. It’s a small shop in the middle of Palma, and the owner is a longtime sommelier who takes the time to explain all the variables that go into enjoying wine. You’ll learn about Mallorca and the wine. If you’ve been to big commercial wineries in the United States, this is the opposite—you get a personal experience, and you know you’re in Europe. Truly excellent!

Great Wine Tasting Experience in Mallorca!

This was a great and informative tour — and we drank a lot of wine! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable about Mallorcan wine and clearly passionate, which made the experience even more valuable. I also loved the setting: a charming, tucked-away wine shop in the city center that added a lot of character and authenticity to the experience. If I had one piece of feedback, it would be that the instructor’s explanations were a bit slow at times, which made it hard to stay engaged throughout. Personally, I think the experience could’ve been condensed into one hour instead of two. That said, it was still very informative, and the guide was extremely gracious — especially since I arrived late. Overall, a great experience and one I’d recommend if you’re visiting Mallorca!

What a perfect way to end the day in Mallorca. We could feel his passion with a perfectly prepared surrounding in his shop in the heart of Palma. He taught us a lot about the history, making and caring of wine besides their tasting of locally-grown and produced wines of course. We learned quite a bit about local wines. Shop was easy to find in town. Our guide was super informative and friendly. If you are looking to tour a winery and vineyard, this is not for you. It is instead a very educational wine tasting.

This was absolutely my favorite wine tasting I have ever done!! It was cozy and quaint in the wine cellar of a lovely bodega. Our host was VERY knowledgeable and informative about all of the wine we tasted. I space on his name, but he’s from the country Georgia and his family makes their own wine. He is very passionate about his profession and it shows in the way he presented each wine we tasted. I have never done a wine tasting that had little bites of meats, cheese and sweets like this one. It was amazing to experience how the flavor of the wine changed depending on what you paired with it. You always hear “this pairs well with…” but I’ve never understood it more than I do after this tasting. I will now taste my wine BEFORE planning a meal. I would 100% recommend this to anyone spending time in Barcelona

Fantastic couple of hours learning many new wine insights from our host Gabriel. He was very friendly, chatty and informative. We felt his passion for wine and his desire to share his knowledge. The experience was very enjoyable, surprising at times - the blind tasting, and five generous glasses of mixed wines was enough to leave us rosy faced and we headed back to our hotel for a much needed nap. Our session was only myself and my wife, although I think the experience would have been equally enjoyable if another couple had been there.
