We had a great time with an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. Great way to see the island and its natural beauty, and we loved all the different types of transportation! Very well worth the price.
The tour is a great way to see a lot of the island in one day! It's not very active, but you see beautiful scenery. The bus part is a lot more fun than it might sound, because the roads are so dramatic. (I wouldn't recommend this if you get motion sickness!) The highlight is definitely the tram, and while it's a fairly short ride, it's a lot of fun! We had a beautiful day and there was a chance for swimming, although we just walked and enjoyed the views. Our guide, Maria Jose, was excellent and we learned a lot about the island!
People should be aware that the tour is offered in multiple languages, which it says in the details of the booking, but don't miss that detail and be surprised that every announcement must be made in as many as 5 languages. Maria Jose's command of so many languages was impressive and I enjoyed listening to her in each language!
I wish the tour operator had reached out ahead of time with more details about the meeting place. Even using the coordinates, it wasn't clear where to go. There are a lot of buses that use that place for pickups and dropoffs, and I had no idea which bus was ours. I didn't know the bus number ahead of time and the sign on the bus was not the same as the information from Viator about who the tour operator was.

Booked and English tour and although the tour guide spoke English it was not her comfort level. Over 60 percent of narrative was in German. The our 40 percent was shared between English, Spanish and Italian thus when she pointed out sometime of interest in German by time she translated in English we were 2-3 km beyond the point. This went on the entire tour. I feel we lost a lot in the tour as we were until to translate or understand German. For some reason the tour last 9 hours and 45 minutes with the tour guide getting off the bus 30 minutes before we got back to our pickup location. Strange. We were assured that the bus driver knew the location….

This is a multilingual excursion rather than an English-only guided tour. Our guide communicates in the languages required by the guests travelling that day, so the amount of commentary in each language can vary according to the composition of the group. We understand, however, that when several languages are required, commentary about a particular point of interest may occasionally come later than would be ideal.
Regarding the duration, Mallorca in One Day is a complex excursion combining coach, boat, historic wooden train and Sóller tram. 🚌⛵🚂🚋 The exact timings can vary because we coordinate the day around the operating schedules and allocated times of these different forms of transport, particularly the historic train and tram.
There was also nothing unusual or concerning about the guide leaving the coach before your final stop. On this particular day she had a medical appointment and, once the guided part of the excursion had finished, the professional driver continued the established return route. He knew all remaining drop-off points and guests were returned accordingly.
We regret that the language distribution meant you did not get as much from the commentary as you had hoped. Mallorca in One Day is nevertheless designed primarily as a complete sightseeing experience, combining the spectacular Serra de Tramuntana, Sa Calobra, coastline and four very different forms of transport to show guests an extraordinary variety of Mallorca in a single day.
Overall nice trip. Extremely confusing pickup location directions, spent quite a bit of time the day before confirming the details and we still weren't on the list.... and we had a late start. After that things picked up. Boat ride was just that... a boat ride. The drive through the mountains was the highlight. Nice to see other parts of the island.

We would just like to clarify the pickup point for future travellers. Your booking was on our passenger list, but this is a very busy departure point and, on that particular morning, there were more than 10 coaches from the same transport company operating there. For this reason, identifying the correct coach number is particularly important.
To make this easier, we send guests a message on the morning of the excursion with their coach number. The voucher also includes our WhatsApp contact, where guests can request the bus number, and we can also be contacted through Viator messaging if any assistance is needed. We understand that a busy pickup point can nevertheless feel confusing, so we always recommend checking the coach number before departure. 🚌

This was a wonderful excursion that included a train ride, tram ride, boat ride and trip in a bus. We travelled to Soller by train, took the tram there to the port and took a lovely boat ride to Calobra. From this beautiful port, where we stopped for lunch and to see a nice beach, we then got in the bus and saw the mountains and the sanctuary at Lluc. I enjoyed seeing so much of beautiful Mallorca in such a short time. I think this excursion is a great value.

Although the actual itinerary was great and we stopped at multiple locations, our tour guide never explained anything , or took us around at the stops. She was strictly there to make sure everyone showed up on time. We learned nothing about any of the towns or villages we visited. Very disappointing.

Fabulous way of seeing the entire island. Coordination of all activities was amazing.
Would recommend the tour company notifying attendees what bus and bus number would be picking them up. Our pickup point had many busses and it was confusing. Driver was great - guide was wonderful.

We had a great time with Juan, the guide, he was very knowledgeable about the island and he had funny jokes. The driver Juan was also professional, the road in the mountains requires lots of attention.
The experience was really nice with amazing views.
What I would recommend (and not only this tour operator, as all do the same) it would be nice if people could have less time at the port and more in Port de Soller as the little town is really nice with lots of nice restaurants. Overall a very nice experience.

The bus left me after waiting only a few minutes! My voucher showed a DIFFERENT pickup address than the address they later sent me, which caused the confusion. I begged them to wait and explained that I was trying to get to the correct location, but they refused. I spent $150 on this tour and even missed my flight specifically so I could attend. Absolutely terrible customer service and a complete waste of my money. I’m extremely disappointed and would not recommend this company.

The information provided to you was the same information given to more than 70 passengers travelling on three different excursions that morning, including the meeting point, bus number and bus colour. All the other passengers managed to locate the correct coach.
Our records also show that the coach waited approximately 13 minutes at the meeting point. This was not a case of the bus waiting “only a few minutes” and simply refusing to help.
We understand that being late is frustrating, particularly when you had other travel plans, but describing the situation as the company giving you the wrong information and refusing to wait is simply not an accurate account of what happened.
The evidence and the experience of the other 70+ passengers that morning speak for themselves. We are sorry you missed the excursion, but passengers are responsible for following the meeting instructions and being at the designated point on time.

I was reluctant to book this tour because of the 2 hour bus ride. That bus ride was a beautiful & pleasant journey. The boat ride was fun, but the best part was the tram and train rides. Great old wooden conveyances. Through some pretty spectacular scenery. It was a long day. Worth every penny. And Juan was the best guide.

We would just like to clarify one point for future visitors: **we do not advise guests to bring warm clothing for the caves**. This recommendation may have come from another website or travel blog. In our information, we explain that the temperature inside the caves remains relatively stable throughout the year, at approximately **18–21°C**.
During Mallorca's very hot summer months, the caves certainly feel cooler than outside, but humidity can make them feel warmer than some visitors expect. Your suggestion of bringing a small towel or personal fan may therefore be useful for guests particularly sensitive to humidity.

This is a very long day but provides many nice experiences. The bus ride up and over the mountain was an experience in itself! Our guide was wonderful and made sure to give extra attention to those who needed it. When warm out be aware that only the bus is air conditioned.

This tour is basically just subjecting yourself to an exhausting "travel day", as you take various forms of transportation (bus, boat, tram, train) over the course of 8+ hours. Could easily just take a public bus directly from Palma to Soller to enjoy that town and skip the grind of being herded around all day only to spend 30 mins in Soller. Would recommend packing snacks as lunch spots on tour are tourist traps (over priced awful food). In summary, if you want to get some good photos without really experiencing anything, take this tour. If you feel there are some spots on tour that don't appeal and you want to skip all the modes of transport so you can spend more time in certain places, it's easier to bus yourself or rent a car and save yourself money as this tour is expensive.

The Island Tour is not a transfer to Sóller. It is a scenic journey combining coach, boat, tram and the historic wooden train, allowing guests to experience the Serra de Tramuntana from several unique perspectives in a single day. Suggesting that visitors simply take a public bus to Sóller completely misses the purpose of this excursion and means missing the boat trip, the historic tram, the 1912 train and some of Mallorca's most spectacular landscapes.
As for the time spent in each location, the itinerary is clearly described before booking. This is a panoramic tour designed to showcase the island rather than spending an entire day in one place.

I was originally hesitant to book this because it seemed expensive. It was worth every dollar! I definitely would not have had the courage to drive those mountain roads myself, and our driver was excellent! Antonia helped us learn every step of the way and it was such a smooth experience. We enjoyed the boat, the tram, and the train as well!

The tour itinerary is very good. Enjoyed the drive and train ride. The tram ride was overcrowded and people had to stand for the entire time. The only negative was the multi language narration. By the time you heard the information in your language the point of interest had passed. It was very frustrating to listen to the narration in 4 languages.

The Island Tour is designed to showcase as much of Mallorca as possible in a single day by combining several modes of transport: coach, boat, tram and the historic train. Travelling between the different locations is therefore an essential part of the experience, allowing guests to enjoy some of the island's most spectacular scenery without having to drive themselves.
At the same time, there is also free time to explore: around 30 minutes at Lluc Monastery, approximately 90 minutes in Sa Calobra, 15 minutes in Port de Sóller and around 40 minutes in Sóller. During the train and boat journeys you're also free to move around, admire the views and, on the historic train, many guests enjoy standing on the open rear platform to fully experience the journey.
This excursion is intended as a panoramic tour of Mallorca rather than a full-day visit to one location, and we believe it offers one of the best ways to discover the island's incredible variety in just one day.

Loved Sa Colabra & boat ride along the coast. I would have liked to spend more time in Soller, but it was already a long day. This tour is a must! It is breathtaking! The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 stars it’s because I would definitely extend this tour. You need a good 2 hrs extra. To savour the moment in Soler and where we take the tram too. But the rest it’s is just beautiful you will not regret this tour

We completely understand your comment about wanting more time in Sóller and Port de Sóller. In fact, many guests fall in love with these beautiful locations and would happily spend longer there. Unfortunately, one of the biggest limitations of the Island Tour is the timetable of the historic Sóller train. As the train operates on fixed departure times, the entire itinerary has to be carefully coordinated around it, which means extending the stay in Sóller would require removing time from other parts of the excursion.
The purpose of this tour is to offer a complete overview of Mallorca's most spectacular landscapes and transport experiences in a single day, including the mountain roads, Sa Calobra, the boat trip, the tram and the historic train.
If you would like a more relaxed experience with longer free time in Mallorca's most beautiful villages, you might also enjoy our Valldemossa and Sóller Tour, which focuses on spending more time exploring these charming locations at a slower pace.

It is a full day experience and there is more time spent traveling between the towns/places you visit, but the scenery is beautiful and would be completely missed if you were doing the driving on your own.

We were seated at the meeting place 55 minutes before departure. No bus showed up. No guide got out of a bus to find us. No bus was labeled . No bus number given. My first time booking off cruise and I will never do it again

We are sorry that you missed the excursion, but your description of what happened does not reflect the facts.
On that morning, not only did the passengers for your tour find the correct bus, but there were also dozens of other customers departing from the same meeting area. The 12 passengers booked on your excursion boarded successfully, as did more than 70 passengers waiting for other tours. You were the only guests who did not locate the coach.
This should indicate that the issue was not the absence of the bus or guide, but rather a misunderstanding on your side.
The meeting point is clearly indicated on the voucher, and customers are also provided with contact details and a messaging system should they require assistance. Had you contacted us before departure, we would have been happy to help identify the correct vehicle.
We understand that booking an excursion independently from a cruise ship can feel different from booking directly through the cruise line, but thousands of cruise passengers join our tours every year without difficulty. Missing the departure was unfortunate, but it does not mean the excursion was not properly operated.
