Beautyful easy walk. Not for wheelchairs.

Julio_R, Mar 2026
Could be crowded but its beautiful!! Easy walk, not steep except reaching the parking to the bus at the end!!!. Not for wheelchairs. A couple of stairs might be little scary if you are afraid of hights and a bridge also. I thing a person with disabilities but strong feet can make it.

The Hike of a Lifetime and Very Do-able!

Virginia_B, Jan 2026
It is extremely safe and do-able! Don't be deterred and don't miss out on this stunning experience. The group moves at a very manageable pace for all, with stops along the way. Just be sure to have plenty of water and sun protection (it was 102 in July when we were there). We are all senior citizens, two with ongoing health challenges, and everyone did fine. They also have a medic on hand and can transport anyone out who may need assistance, at any time. Professionally run, wonderful, the hike of a lifetime. Go do it!

Great from Malaga

Great weather and landscape and not too Crowded on the 30th december 2025 made a Great experience for us.

This is great trip !! Transportation, and everything that you need it makes things a little simpler! It was a little hard to find the pick up. Read the instructions as much as you possibly can all the instructions are there just not seen them. Make sure you get on the right bus with your reservation quite a few people had her name on different buses didn't understand that little confusing but we did figure it out.

Gorge was nice to see, but you’ve been hurdled like cattle through the gorge by your tour guide

mike_M, Oct 2025
Be prepared for the mass volume of people you . I’ll think you’re in Disneyland the amount of people that go through the gate is 1400 people a day. You’ll be queueing up just to move from one section of the path to the next section with your group. Also you’ll cover probably close to 8- 9 km of walking, they don’t tell you that part..

Be prepared for a fun and interesting hike

Samantha_D, Oct 2025
This is a long hike and if you have mobility issues I do not recommend. There are lots of stairs when going through the mountain and if you are afraid of heights, all I can say is push through it! It’s only a small portion. I loved the hike, the history, interesting, and I highly recommend it!

Great experience

We had a great experience at the Caminito del Rey! Booking was simple and straightforward, which took all the stress out of planning. Our tour guide was fantastic—so nice, helpful, and full of interesting information. I highly recommend this tour!

Awesome views, well organized ride.

Anna_D, Jul 2025
Trip was well organized, we had no issues or delays. Walk has few uphills, but otherwise quite flat. Awesome views. Should be manageable even for those with heights anxiety .

An unmissable experience on the Caminito del Rey

CharlesRichard_K, Jul 2025
This is definitely a “must do” activity when visiting Andalusia. The walk is active, but not too strenuous if you are moderately fit and the views and experience of being (safely) suspended above the canyon are spectacular. The one down side was that, while our coach of nearly 50 people was split into three groups based on language, it was uneven split such that one group had only four people plus a guide, while ours - the largest - had nearly 30. This meant that the tail end of our group was virtually unable to hear over the radio (due distance and interference) the commentary and instructions from the otherwise interesting and well-informed guide.

Disappointing

Susan_A, May 2025
Not very organised. Alot of waiting around while the guides mess about trying to get groups organised. Then a long wait at the end as no definate time to be at the end picnic area was given to people. 2 way radios given out so your guide can talk to the group didn't work.

Great experience

The local tour guide Leticia was talking and going too fast. Hard to catch up with her. Overall the trip was good.

Amazing experience!

Jonathan_V, Apr 2025
Caminito del Rey is a definitely must-do while in Málaga. I was very sceptical about it as I'm scared of heights. But I did it anyway and it was the best decision.

Must-do if you’re nearby

Jurate_G, Feb 2025
The views during the hike were unforgettable—stunning and breathtaking. It’s definitely a must-do if you’re nearby. Unfortunately, the day was windy and cloudy, but the views were still mesmerizing. The hike is easy, though I wouldn’t recommend it for those afraid of heights. The only downside was that the return to Málaga took a very long time, as it took a while to drop off all the tourists at their hotels.

Safe but adventures tour

Sofie_Y, Feb 2025
Unforgettable tour. The guide was amazing, she told us all the stories and histories for the bridge and the path. it was lovely.

El Caminito del Viento !!! (very windy today)

Orlando_M, Dec 2024
Bring comfortable shoes and something to eat. Also drivers should communicate better in between the mountains… a little nerve wracking on the way back.

Fantastic walking trail

Mona_M, Dec 2024
Fantastic experience hiking this gorgeous trail. Our guide was attentive, knowledgeable, and patient.

Caminito del Rey

Audrey_N, Dec 2024
Very well organised, lots of good information as we walked. Stunning scenery. Unfortunately our guide, while being very knowledgeable, was rather arrogant and rude at times and took an aggressive tone with people when they asked questions.

Stunning view, a wonderful trail, we enjoyed the walk and the spectular view along the river. It is highly recommended.

A good trip let down by a very late bus

Nicola_D, Oct 2024
TIPS FOR A GOOD DAY OUT (1) Be prepared for the bus to be late. Apparenty 5-10 mins is common (although I was only told this by another tourist), but we waited exactly an hour. There was a lot of confusion about whether we'd missed the bus, and Viator didn't communcate with us (even though they have all our contact details from the bookings - and an app). (2) Take plenty of water and snacks in a backpack. There's nothing much to buy at the start of the trail (just a couple of vending machies, but I put 2 euros in and nothing came out). Take at least 1 litre of water per person for the walk. They told us there'd be a 'picnic area' on the trail, but it turned out that it's at the end, just before you get back on the bus. You need to keep your energy up, and hunger would be miserable. The picnic area features a series of catering huts where you can get good street food, beers, juices etc and it's not epensive. Plenty of seating. (3) Toilets ARE a problem. It was a 1-hour wait at the bus stop for us, and over an hour on the bus. Then a very quick toilet break but only AFTER a brisk 20-min walk. Then nothing for about 3 hours. No going behind a bush on the trail - it's all CCTV-monitored. Then there are toilets at the end of the walk. (4) The pace throughout is fast. On the way from the entrace to the start of the trail, I could barely keep up (and I'm 6' with long legs). On the platforms, you just have to keep moving. If you stop to take endless shots with your DSLR, you will be very unpopular. Snap a smartphone image when you can. (5) It can be windy up there. Be careful of spectacles, mobile phones, etc. (6) Be respectful. We were in a group, but there were independent visitors who wanted to move faster and would barge past with no warning - having someone push past you, when you're on a trail 50cm wide, 100 metres up, isn't fun. (7) It's quite a long trudge from the start of the trail to the start of the high platforms, and an even further trudge to the picnic area (where out bus was waiting for us). Decent footwear is a must - glad I took my hiking boots.

Everyone should do this trip

Triona_D, Oct 2024
Absolutely amazing tour and our guide was so passionate and knowledgeable.his organizational skills were brilliant and the way he can keep the group entertained was unbelievable .yourw very lucky to have him in youre team

Stunning

Catherine_S, Sep 2024
The walk was fab. And was done at a good pace no pressure at all. Time for photos and rest. Informative

A great experience

Stephen_S, Sep 2024
Stunning scenery - an absolutely wonderful experience. We are both in our 70's and managed the walk very well.

Great tour, bus confusion

LJ_M, Sep 2024
Our local guide Pablo was excellent, a great story teller. We were separated into a separate tour group and were not given clear instructions on when to meet our bus. It was somewhat of an unpleasant finish to a great day.

Very unique and fun adventure

Kevin_G, Sep 2024
Incredible views. Looks very scary but it’s really very safe with safety railings everywhere. Must bring water - hot and dry. Guided tours use tiny individual radios where you listen to your guide in your own language - but bring your own airline type hearing pods with the tiny plug for better sound. The ones they offer are junk. Expect lots of people on the tour with you.
