Very steep path to the observatory. I did it with my brother in law but my wife was unable.. paid for three. Any chance for the third to be reimbursed?

Great experience, good to get knows more about our galaxy and all.
I had a great time with my family.

This was a very easy self guided tour. It was very interesting to learn how relatively recent all of these “time” things are. I wish we had planned for more time to wander around the town.

Royal Observatory is a once in a lifetime opportunity to stand on two hemispheres at the same one. Must SEE! GMT.. Zulu!

Very educative, enlightening, discovery, beautiful, bingormative. I was a long walk from the river and up the hill, but I did and
Enjoyed myself.

Great 5lb tour. Knowledgeable guide, very willing to answer questions. Must be studying this history. Loved Harrison's clocks and story about longitude. Audio system helped us hear when we passed crowded noisy groups.

Absolutely brilliant explanation of how measurement of time has developed. Good volunteer talks.....

I really enjoyed this experience. It was a lot more interesting than I had anticipated. I especially enjoyed the clocks.

The observatory staff could not read the vouchers / barcode provided by Viator and we had to purchase tickets again.
Not recommended to book via Viator - best to buy tickets at the entrance since it is not so crowded.
You pay extra to buy tickets on Viator and get a bad surprise when you try to access the observatory.
Not recommended at all!

I love astronomy and wanted to see the Prime Meridian (I actually went to the equator in Ecuador in 2022). It was a great day and easy to see the Cutty Sark, the observatory, walk in Greenwich park, and have a pub lunch.

The Royal Observatory in Greenwich was a very historical and relevant place to visit. While the climb to reach the Observatory was steep, the views leading to the Royal Observatory was incredible. It was a nice place to visit and to be educated about the discoveries made there.

The place by itself is amazing but it need to specifying the is a self guide tour. I was trying to contact someone about the so call meeting point and never got an answer. I almost lost the entrance to the observatory. So don’t bother with this just go to the observatory and get the tickets there.

The Viator app does not work on the iPhone 12 Pro ios 17.0.6. When the Viator app was accessed the Get Tickets button was clicked but apparently the app is not optimized for the smaller format because it would not allow the tickets to downloaded. I had to buy a second set of tickets from the box office of the Observatory. Viator owes for the first set of tickets, not to mention the frustration and embarrassment

Our tour guide (Ross) at the Royal Observatory was extremely interesting. How lucky to be able to share the view from your office with all who visit.
Thank you

So much to take in, an absolute gem of a place for a little part of our history with the museum and Queens house a short walk away
Cornelia_L, Jul 2024
Very interesting and educational place. We enjoyed standing over two parts of the glob and to learn about the activities of the Royal astronomers. The only thing that we didn’t really like it was going up hill to reach the observatory.
Sarah_D, Jul 2024
Very cool place for anyone that is interested in the subject. Was one of the first ones in as the gates opened in late June. Get very crowded very quickly. If you would like a picture of the line you will want to do that first thing and then continue tour. Nice that it is also so close to other museums that you can just walk over to
Roberto_A, Jun 2024
Very interesting. It's about time! Great location offering stunning views of greater London. Best reached by Thames ferry.
Balaji_V, May 2024
It was a great feeling to know that we were standing at the precise spot where the East and West of the globe get divided.
Rita_H, Apr 2024
We really liked seeing the Prime Meridan, but the walk up to the observatory was way longer than we knew about. Also, there was an area closed off and we didn't know until we walked that direction and then had to walk even further to get up the hill.
Palani_N, Mar 2024
It is very interesting, we always knew Greenwich time but didn’t know the meaning, lots of hated wirk make the word goes on factually
Angela_B, Feb 2024
The views from the observatory over London are utterly uncomparable and well worth the walk up. An interesting museum even though I knew nothing about it before the visit apart from the meridian being there. Certainly a good place to spend a couple of hours.
Raymond_H, Dec 2023
When I returned I will bring my family and will need to spend an entire day.
Learnt so much. Was so awesome to stand on the prime Meridian
Anthony_J, Oct 2023
It was as expected however it’s a long walk up hill to reach it. My wife had a hard time getting up there and down.
Amanda_L, Oct 2023
When I saw the word Observatory I assumed that the PIanitarium was included but this tour is just to see the museum that explains about how measuring time occurred. It's interesting but really quite limited. For those for whom mobility is an issue the Observatory is at the top of a very steep hill and there are quite a few stairs when you get there. It really isn't wheelchair friendly and there is only one small lift outside that covers one set of about 5 stairs. Internally, there are no lifts at all. I was really quite disappointed. Having said that the views from the top of the hill were impressive and the staff were lovely.

Standing on the meridian, the historical displays and encompassing history of the astronimers and astronomical feats of the past forward
Caitlin_C, Jul 2023
I enjoyed being at the Prime Meridian line and seeing the view. You need to really be interested in the Royal Observatory and it’s history to enjoy it.
William_M, Jul 2023
too far to walk for anyone over 50, not remotely handicap accessible, no real guide, not well laid out, poor use of your time, everything here can be seen better and easier on the internet.
Ronald_P, Jul 2023
Excellent tour, but it was a bit spoiled by the rain. The tour is amazing, but for a sunny or cloudy day, not a rainy one. There's a lot to walk outdoors, what doesn't go well with rain.
Amit_B, Jul 2023
Good to see prime meridian. Everything was smooth.. Encountered only 2 slight inconveniences. They didn’t have a scanner to scan the Viator voucher, and second, it’s not the easiest place to get to. Even with google/Apple Maps, there was significant confusion. Difficult to get Uber to pick us up.
