Our guide was wonderful and customised the tour to us! High Tea was lovely and the Palace tour is well worth it
Joyce_B, Mar 2026
Our guide, Doug, was one of the best we’ve had on trips we have booked on Viator. We were introduced to the park, and the friendly swans,. We also saw the lovely tribute to Princess Diana. The High tea was in the Orangerie and was absolutely gorgeous. High tea was an event not to be missed and we weren’t rushed. Kensington Palace did not disappoint either! Great tour and guide!
Douglas_H, Mar 2026
You can book directly for tea at the Orangerie… or take this delightful tour of the garden and learn the history of what you’re looking at, followed by tea! Highly reco the tour approach, which gives you great insights into the park and gardens.
Julie_M, Mar 2026
The High Tea was elegant and lovely! Doug, our guide gave a fascinating history of the customs of high tea and tea in general.
Janelle_M, Mar 2026
Knowledgeable guide. Great outdoor activity with kids. Lovely first time high tea experience. We did not do the palace tour but if no kids, probably would have booked that too.
Samantha_J, Mar 2026
From the start the meeting place was very clear. Our guide was prompt and very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed learning all of the history about Kensington and the Royal Family.
The tea was lovely and the staff was very kind.
Delilah_H, Feb 2026
It was an enjoyable tour, I don't feel like the description before booking is accurate enough. The main focus of this tour is the walk through Kensigton Gardens. I was chatting with another person on the tour and they agreed they didn't even realize there was a portion where we walked through the gardens. The tea felt very rushed, which was my main reason for booking this tour. The tea was absolutely amazing, but if you booked the portion where you were doing the self guided tour of Kensigton Palace, you were rushed through tea to go to the palace. So as great as each piece was, the highlight of the tour was the most rushed piece.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your review and concerns. We describe the tour as a Walking Tour with Tea at the Palace. We allow an hour for tea but this can be extended if required as there is no time limit on the table. The Palace Ticket is timed to allow up to 90 minutes for the tea service but Palace staff are flexible should you require more time. We are sorry you felt rushed as our goal is to provide a leisurely experience.

Paul was awesome. Even though it was cold and raining he made it very enjoyable and informative. A wealth of history..
Toni_P, Feb 2026
On a rainy day in February, it was a lovely, relaxing, and educational experience. I learned a lot from my guide Barbara. She was very knowledgeable and even provided information to help make the rest of my trip easier. Barbara was an excellent tour guide and I enjoyed my time with her. The orangey was a beautiful tea room and the server was very attentive. The vanilla chai tea was perfect on a rainy day.
Jessica_O, Jan 2026
This experience for me was a bit underwhelming. Paul was our tour guide and he was nice, but it was just my sister and I so it felt a bit rushed. He also answered his phone at the very beginning of our tour which was a bit off putting. Also this is not a botanical garden tour Kensington Gardens is a public park with runners and dogs (unleashed) everywhere which cheapened the experience for me. The tea in the orangery was okay but my socks were not blown off! I can almost guarantee there were better and cheaper tea experiences in London! I did love seeing the Diana statue and the area where Harry and Meghan announced their engagement, but overall this was overpriced for it was.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you Jessica for taking the time to write this review. We hope that we were clear that Kensington is not a botanical garden and in January most of the flora is sleeping. We wish you safe travels

Paddy was amazing and a great tour guide! He gave us so much information about the gardens and the royal family history. He was very knowledgeable and I would definitely do this tour again. I really loved the teatime as well that was included with it after. Great for solo travelers’s families’s friends.
Response from Host, Jan 2026

Giovanna_S, Dec 2025
Tour was lovely and very informative. High tea was delicious. Palace itself was a bit underwhelming. The walk was very pleasant. I met a fantastic couple which made the tour fun!
Response from Host, Jan 2026
We are delighted you liked the tour and food.
Melissa_S, Dec 2025
Meet up directions were very clear and easy to find. Doug was wonderful, he catered the tour to our interests and ability levels, and he even stayed and had tea with us, to explain everything we were eating and how to use the strainers, etc... he also gave us history about high tea and the location we were in. The price is very high, but it was really worth the experience to do at least once, we had a wonderful time with Doug as our guide.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for your wonderful feedback
Scott_B, Nov 2025

Orsolya_H, Nov 2025
Paul was our tour guide. He has a very typical English sense of humour. The walk in Kensington Gardens was truly beautiful, and Paul told us many interesting historical stories about the Royal Family. The tea experience with the tiny pastries and sandwiches was so atmospheric that it felt as if we had stepped straight into a Bridgerton scene. Afterwards, the visit to Kensington Palace with the guided audio tour was an unforgettable experience.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thanks for a lovely, comprehensive review Paul was delighted to be your host
Andrea_C, Nov 2025
Paul was an excellent guide, very informative and paced walking tour perfectly to accommodate all of us. High Tea was ok, had better tasting sandwiches and scones in other countries.
Hani_A, Nov 2025
It was a perfect experience with a very friendly tour guide
I will recommend it to our friends and family
Marvin_W, Nov 2025
A trip to London would not be complete without going to the Kensington High Tea. The food and experience was amazing. The tour of the Palace was not as impressive; however, if you’re interested in seeing the place where Princess Diana spent her time in London after marrying Prince Charles, it’s worth the visit.
Karen_L, Nov 2025
Wear comfortable shoes for the walk in the park. Tea was delightful and quite filling. Highly recommend.
Heather_R, Nov 2025
Our tour was fantastic. I have been through the park many times, but learned a few things along the way- 10/10. Kensington Palace is always a lovely time- 10/10. The highlight for my friends and I was trying the tea. Overall, we gave the tea about a 7/10. It was good, but we’ve had better.
Diane_S, Oct 2025
We had a delightful high tea at Kensington Gardens & Palace! The tour through the park was amazing; it’s such a beautiful park. The atmosphere for the high tea was elegant, and the treats were delicious. Our wonderful tour guide Doug made the whole experience truly special with his knowledge, warmth, and charm. A perfect afternoon in every way!
kitldo, Oct 2025
walk in the park, lovely. pretentious not-very-good tea sandwhich lunch bland and not particularly tasty,,,biggest disappointment was the big deal admission to the palace...dreadful and not worth the time. save your money and go to the theatre instead
Response from Host, Oct 2025

While a little pricey… the walking tour and tea was amazing! Paul (our guide) gave us a great walking tour prior to the tea and the tea afterwards was amazing. Highly recommend!
