This was a great tour. We saw everything of interest. It was hot, so come prepared with sunscreen, hats, etc. We were in a small group tour (5 tourists). Our guide, Aaron, was great - one of the best guides we've ever had. He was friendly, knowledgeable and was genuinely interested in ensuring each of us had a great experience.

We were fortunate to have Aaron as our guide for this tour. The comprehensive tour of the downtown area was excellent. Then we had our choice for dinner. As a group we chose Peruvian rotisserie chicken which was delicious. Then we viewed the water show which exceeded expectations. A wonderful afternoon and evening.

From Callao Port: Lima City Tour, Dinner and Magic Water Tour:
This tour was excellent and our tour director,Caesar, was the one who made it so! He was exuberant, excited and proud of his city, totally prepared and great fun. By the end of the tour we felt like family. We got a real feel for the city of Lima, visited the Catacombs, definitely not to be missed especially the last supper with Jesus and the guinea pigs!! The water show at night was simply magic and our traditional dinner was a perfect way to meet the locals and sample some piscoe, a local drink. Caesar bought caramel filled Churros for everyone for dessert, a treat that you should never miss. We arrived back tired but happy. We would use a Viator tour in every city without a worry. Just a reminder that you cannot meet the tour in Callao port as the port authority doesn't allow tours to enter the port, they take you on a bus to the Indian Markets. Viator contacted us and met us at the markets instead, we were so relieved.

Excellent tour with our guide Ceasar, who was always attentive, responsive, and professional. Small group, which made the experience much more interesting. Restaurant with typical Lima food to finish off with the water and light show. I highly recommend it. If you are with Princess Cruises, take the shuttle to Indian Market, the starting point for the tour.

Our experienced tour guide, Gabriela, made this a great (Buenazo!) excursion. She went above and beyond our expectations, with several pleasant surprises sprinkled in. She’s knowledgeable about all the monuments, historic buildings, and fountains we saw. She has a great sense of humor and kept us entertained all day. Best of all, she connects with each and every guest, getting to know all of us while sharing aspects of her own life.
Our cruise shuttle to the meeting point was a bit of a cluster F, and Haku Tours resolved all the challenges, even assigning someone to stay with us for an extra hour to make sure we all safely boarded the shuttle bus.

Gabriella gave us an historical and modern history of her country. She pointed out the different architectural structures and the history associated with each era. We had time to see everything without a minute wasted. Tasted Peruvian churros and donuts as well as sampling pisco and several Peruvian dishes. The night ended with a view and explanation of the Magucal Water show. Be prepared to do a lot of walking but every minute was worth it!

We really enjoyed our time in Lima. Our guide, Leonardo, was all the things a good teacher should be. He was knowledgeable of both the past and the present day cultures in his area and was enthusiastic and engaging throughout the tour. We did a city walk and saw many historic structures including the cathedral and the catacombs. There were multiple choices for lunch and the food was delicious and abundant. After lunch we drove to the magic light show which was brilliant. My husband and I enjoyed the show even more than we had expected. The tour operator carried us back to the port and waited with us until the cruise shuttle picked us up. This tour was a bargain and interactions with the company were always prompt!

JJ did a great job maneuvering our small group around the city. We walked across a bridge and down a market area where we were able to taste fresh picerones. Then we toured the cathedral museum and the catacombs. We walked through the town square and stopped for a drink. We continued on to have dinner in a local restaurant and finally to a beautiful water show that projected the history of Peru. Then back to our hotel.

Magic Water Show was wonderful. Visiting the Catacombs and Monastery was an enlightening experience. Downtown Lima was beautiful with all the unusual architecture.

We had a great time touring the city of Lima! We had a 14hr layover which was the perfect amount of time to fit this in. You could even get away with a shorter layover and still make it work as the host is very accommodating of your schedule. I would rank this tour in my top 3 all time favorite tours through Viator, especially thanks to our guide, JJ! He is very knowledgeable about the city/country’s cultural, political, and religious background, and we were able to learn and experience a lot in the time we had with him. Touring the catacombs was definitely a highlight, and JJ provided really nice explanations of everything that we saw. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in learning about Lima whether you’re staying for a longer period of time in Peru or just stopping by on your connecting flight. If I could give Haku Tours 10 stars then I would !! Book through these guys... they are incredible. We had Edwin as our guide. I had been communicating with Stefano prior, which was outstanding. The whole team was amazing. We got picked up from the Indian Markets. The only was to get off a cruise ship at Callao port is to take a shuttle bus to there. The trip was estimated up to 75 mins.. but one of our trips (we had 4 in the bus over 2 days) took over 2 hours. Just be mindful of this when selecting times for your tours. Ours went without a hitch, except the insanely long trip and wait for the buses on our return. Edwin and Fatima stayed til we got onto the shuttle bus. Even though we were perfectly safe waiting in a crowd of over 200, and security, Edwin said it is their companies policy to make sure we get on the shuttle bus safely. This company is outstanding!! Part of their tour money go to helping the community. Oh, the tour. We visited some amazing places. The catacombs, beautiful churches, San Martin Square. We had dinner over looking plaza de Mayor, flanked by the presidental palace, the Cathedral of Lima and municipal palace.. which was stunningly beautiful during the day, then more beautiful when the sun went down, and when the lights came on at the park.. oh wow. We walked amazing streets, had authentic churros.. oh my.. and lastly went to the magic water park, which was so wonderful. A brilliant BRILLIANT tour. Book through these guys. Support the locals.

Aaron was a wonderful tour guide. The Magic Fountains were our favorite with the amazing laser show and Christmas decorations and colorful fountains. We also loved the city tour of the beautiful churches and buildings and city streets lined with ornate balconies. We also got to walk through the underground catacombs. Aaron bought us delicious charros and also took us to an authentic restaurant.Aaron was an excellent guide that worked above and beyond to make our day memorable!
