What To Expect
After hotel pickup in La Fortuna, your two-part tour begins with ziplining. Zoom across the treetops for nearly 2 miles (3 km), reaching speeds up to 35 mph (60 kph) as you look down on the ground below you.
Refuel with fruit and water before the transfer to the Balsa River for your whitewater rafting tour. As you tackle the rapids with your guide, take in the lush surroundings and keep your eyes open for sightings of monkeys, iguanas, birds, or sloths.
Lunch is included on this tour. You'll end with return transport to your pickup location.

This was one of the best days I have ever lived. This package is the BEST!!! The zip line tour was excellent! The staff were all amazing. The white water rafting was an experience I will never forget. The staff were the best and the rafting part couldn’t be any better!!! This was money well spent!!

Amazing tour guides! They are knowledgeable & prioritize safety. Fun for all ages/skill levels - we had a 9 year old in one of the groups and she had no problem completing the activities. If you’re nervous about heights, their zip lines are a great place to try it for the first time. We wore the same shoes for zip lining & rafting - water safe shoes with a good tread. Recommend bringing a bathing suit for rafting, or wearing suit during activities, and having a change of clothes in your bag for after. After rafting, we had lunch at an amazing restaurant - food was delicious. Your bags will be safe in the office during zip lining, and on the bus during rafting. Do not bring sunglasses without a strap, or phones without a zippered pocket on either activity. You will get VERY wet while rafting. My 17 year old daughter said this was the best day we have ever spent as a family, and we have traveled around the world. Thanks to Jacamar Naturalist Tours for a fun & safe experience.

We had the best time zip lining and rafting with Jacamar Naturalist tours. Our guides were kind, fun, knowledgeable and didn’t rush you from one activity to the next.
Our rafting day was amazing- our guide Andre did a great job taking us down the rapids. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and loves to share in the excitement.
We went to lunch in La Fortuna at their restaurant, and it was so quaint, and peaceful. We sat facing lush greenery and birds were flying around the whole time. Plus the food was excellent! I finished my entire plate.
Would definitely recommend this activity, and if we ever go back we’ll be booking with Jacamar Naturalist tours again for sure!

Amazing combo! We had so much fun and felt completely safe. The guides for the ziplining portion where warm and friendly and had us laughing the entire time! The guide for the rafting portion pointed out lots of animals on the lower portion of the river. The lunch was delicious, as was the fruit they served during breaks. Overall, it was an amazing day!

We had so much fun on this tour- the whitewater rafting was intense but not too difficult. The guide was great and made It fun. They take pictures of you as you go down stream as well. The zip lining was easily my favorite part of the whole trip.

One of the best days we had in Costa Rica the guides were great super friendly and very helpful. We had lots of excitement but always felt safe. Then to top off the great adventure the meal was one of the best we had.

Very professional facilities and tour guides who made sure we experienced thrill, were safe, and well-nourished.
Ziplining:
We went on a rainy morning. Picked up at hotel. Nelson very nice and waited for us to finish breakfast. 7 ziplines and 1 tarzan swing at the end. Felt very safe the entire time. Staff there were extremely friendly and clearly have been doing this for a long time. Took turns going before and after so my friend and I were always in good hands getting hooked up and released from the zip lines.
Rafting
Coolest thing is flipping the rafts over on a small island in the middle of our trip and having fresh fruit cut up on them for patrons to enjoy. The difficulty level was just right to balance beginner level and thrill. We had 2 couples on board along with my friend and I and we bonded very well. Our guide, Susan, was phenomenal! She knew how to ride the rapids, instruct us to also contribute, and have us flow down the river at one point.
Highly recommend both trips. Well-connected and my friend and I never had to worry!

Better than expectation. Ziplining is fun, rafting is good. Price is reasonable. Especially ECO Garden Arenal lunch and tour, unexpected and very nice!
