Day Trips from La Fortuna to Sarapiqui River (Rio Sarapiquí)

The only afternoon rafting tour in Arenal Volcano. If you are one of those people who sleeps late or want to take advantage of the morning for another activity, then this is the best rafting option for your family and friends. The Sarapiqui River is the perfect couple or family adventure, with fewer participants than the morning tour, giving a more private feeling. The rapids are perfect for first-time paddlers looking for a challenge or families interested in fun, set in the lowlands of the rain forest, you’ll get breathtaking views of tropical birds and lush jungle landscapes.

Families looking for an adventurous but kid-friendly outdoor activity in Costa Rica will love this float through the jungle along the Sarapiqui River from La Fortuna. Rather than a challenging adrenaline rush, you can enjoy a relaxing yet fun trip down the river, bouncing on the waves and admiring the sights of the jungle and the sounds of the birds and wildlife.
