- Please note that to reach the first level of the mine (64 meters underground), You have to descent a wooden stairway which has 378 stairs. After the tour, You will be taken up to the surface with a lift.
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Temperature in the Salt Mine is approximately 14 degrees C (57 degrees F), please wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes.
- Please note that this tour is not available on: 25th of December, 1st of January, Easter Saturday afternoon, Easter Sunday.

Driver picked up on time in Mercedes van and promptly got us over to the salt mines for the tour which is operated by the mine. Got us safely back in time. Highly recommend.

Good half day trip - this was the tourist route in the mine - there is a different experience called Miners route check which you want to do.

Thank you for your feedback. There are two separate routes in the mines, which start in two different shafts. Our groups always visit the tourist route, which is more common among travellers from all around the world.

The description describes the activity level. Consider it closely as the tour is fast and moves rapidly! I would have enjoyed it more if we could have spent a bit more time at each brief stop. Our tour was in English and our guide was very good but sometimes it was hard to understand the narration when moving so quickly

The pick up from our apartment was on time and we made another stop to get 4 other visitors and made our way to the salt mine in about 30 minutes. The driver from mr shuttle, Rafa was excellent.
The mines are interesting but I wouldn’t bother to go again.

The your was good very tiring you don't get enough time when you get to the Restuarant and the gift shop to actually have a rest and sit down and have a coffee but the experience is amazing and our tour guide was exceptional and the driver to and from the Salt mines

The tour itself was fantastic but we were picked up as planned, told very little that there was a problem and we would be dropped to a different car. We spent 20 minutes at a random petrol station in the total wrong direction, waiting to be swapped into another car. Very little communication, felt sketchy! I now understand what was happening but communication was poor. It was a one off and would recommend, I just hope they take from this to communicate what it happening, rather than drive 2 guests 30 minutes in the wrong direction!

Historic, but Not too exciting.
Had a half hour delay in departure by local tour agency. Viator does not make it clear that times may change. On a different tour with Viator (Auschwitz) we were told 12 hours beforehand that our departure time moved from 10:15am to 5:50am! Try planning your day!!!!

We have your tour for Salt Mine booked for a morning slot between 8:00 and 9:00 and your pickup was scheduled for 8:25 which we confirmed on the day before the tour with text message and email.

This is the first time I have written a negative review on Viator and decided to share what happened to heighten awareness. Understood there would be a lot of walking for this tour and was up for that, but the additional long distance walk added to exit the mine ruined the experience. My group had the unfortunate bad luck of being directed to a second elevator to return to ground level. To reach this elevator, we were made to walk an additional kilometer underground. Once there, when we returned to ground level, we had to walk an additional 400 meters back to our parking lot! No directions were given how to get there other than "Walk straight", so some of our group got lost and the rest of us ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes for them to find their way back to the bus. The usual elevator that leaves visitors directly across the street from where buses are parked--about a five-minute walk--was used by other tour groups, but we were not given the option to wait our turn for that elevator. Worst of all, nobody cared about us. I told the tour guide there were a lot of older people in the group and this was not good. His response was, “I have to do what my boss tells me.” While waiting for the lost visitors to return, the driver pointed to the tour group that started one half hour after ours, all getting into their bus. (They exited using the usual elevator). We saw their bus leave, as we continued to wait for lost members of our group to return. What should have been a smooth and easy exit took us an additional 45 minutes! What a fiasco – and all so unnecessary. Ruined the entire experience. April, when I was there, is not high season. My group could have easily waited our turn for the closer elevator. Just be aware, this will no doubt happen again and your group may be the unlucky one. if you go on this tour, you will not have a choice which elevator your group will be directed to return to ground level. For younger people, the additional long walk to the alternate elevator may not be a problem; however, for older visitors (and there are many), this is simply too much after walking around the mine for two hours.

Another brilliant trip provided by Viator, our driver was punctual and very friendly, along with the actual tour guide who walked us through the Salt Mine. Very fascinating to learn about the history behind the mine, and the tour guide was also very funny, which was a pleasant surprise. Would highly recommend

The tour guide at the salt mine provides all the information. The rest of the acitivity is basically just a shuttle driver.
In my case, I was picked up by one driver to meet a second. The second driver and shuttle was 30 minutes late. No interaction or conversation from either driver really.

The experience was well organized and the guide at the mines was both engaging and informative. You are going 600 ft undeground so be prepared for lots of steps on the way down. Although there is a lift for the return to the surface.

The driver was super punctual and the driving time was much shorter than expected. However, we have to join another big tour group as our original tour only got 5 people, ended up with twenty something close to thirty people. This was no good as the purchase website stated that the maximum tour group size is 20. And that's the point why I was willing to pay a bit higher among all other tours available. Rest is good apart from this group size issue.
