Benjamin, our presenter, was fantastic—his storytelling brought the history of Turkish coffee to life, making it fun and engaging. Learning to brew authentic Turkish coffee was simple yet special, and the fortune-telling from the coffee grounds felt like a magical touch. This workshop is a perfect blend of culture and connection. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Istanbul! ☕

Nice if you've never had Turkish coffee before — the process and fortunetelling at the end are genuinely interesting. But it's a simple process, so if you already know the basics, it moves slowly. Would be much better paired with another Turkish-related activity (food tasting, market tour) to make it a fuller experience rather than one quick, simple activity on its own.
Bottom line: worth it for beginners; bundle with something else if you want more out of the outing.
Petek does a great job of ensuring you know how to locate the class space. She walked us through the history of coffee and the important role it played in Turkish history and how it was shared with Europe. She made the knowledge sharing fun and engaging. I really enjoyed the class and my first self brewed Turkish coffee was delicious.
Great workshop experience - took about 1.5 hours. Hosts were excellent and provided great background on the history of coffee alongside the actual workshop itself.

Petek was such a wonderful teacher! She is a local, and knows so much about Istanbul, Turkey, and coffee. I learned so much from her, and she had such a wonderful personality. I would take this class again in a heartbeat. Perfect English, so kind, and very funny. 10/10 all day!
We did this activity as a family (mom, dad, and 2 kids) and absolutely loved it. We learned a lot about Turkish coffee, and the fortune telling was a very fun and entertaining group experience. Our instructor was engaging, kind, and welcoming. They even give you Turkish coffee cup and saucer set which looks very cute. This class was one of the highlights of our Istanbul trip, and I definitely recommend it! They offer other classes too, and you get a discount for booking more classes. I wish I would have known that sooner so I could’ve booked more classes with the same company. Overall a wonderful experience!

This was such a wonderful experience if you like coffee. Patek is a natural teacher and did a wonderful job explaining not only how to make it, but also the history behind the tradition. I highly recommend this coffee workshop. It was definitely a highlight of my trip!!
This experience was so fun! Petek was an amazing coffee guide and easy to talk to. She understood all of our questions and answered them well. The whole coffee making experience was so fun and it was, of course, delicious!
Tricky to get to the building but the businesses around helped us. Stairs are hidden.
A good background about Turkish coffee. The instructor was friendly and knowledgeable. We were given a porcelain cup and saucer and we didn’t expect that.

Strongly connected the making process with the cultural root of Turkish people. Definitely recommend this tour to couples and families!!
Very fun experience, Petek was great! Takes a little under 2h and we were given lovely gifts at the end. Would 100% recommend. Now that we know the proper technique we can’t wait to try it back at home!

Making Turkish coffee was a wonderful experience. The process itself felt special and traditional. Special thanks to Petek who presented the Turkish coffee experience to us. Lovely very warm girl. Her natural way of connecting with people made the atmosphere very comfortable and enjoyable. The coffee was prepared slowly in a small copper pot, allowing the rich aroma to fill the air. Watching the foam rise on the top showed the care and skill that goes into making an authentic Turkish coffee.
When it was served, the presentation was beautiful, usually with a small glass of water and sometimes a piece of Turkish delight. The coffee had a strong, deep flavor and a smooth foam on top, which made it truly enjoyable.
It was not just about drinking coffee, but about the whole moment — relaxing, talking, and appreciating a traditional part of Turkish culture. It was a memorable and authentic experience.
A lovely few hours spent learning about the fascinating history of Turkish coffee, making our own coffee in the traditional way and enjoying the tradition of fortune telling from each others coffee cups. A really wonderful workshop hosted by an even more wonderful and fun lady.
Definitely recommend giving this experience a try - it's a way to feel slightly more immersed in the local culture and learn a new skill ;)
In the beginning she tells you about the Ottoman history. The different coffee beans and for it to be the Turkish way. It was so beautiful to understand the history and to make coffee and I got to make my own coffee. I also bought a grinder and all the items to make coffee. Coffee was strong fresh and it was a wonderful experience.
A great experience in turkey. I wanted to find something to do on a layover and this was the perfect activity. Petek was so sweet and gave a great presentation on how to make turkish coffee. Highly recommend!!!
Great experience with Petek! She was very knowledgeable about coffee but more importantly she was very pleasant company. Given the fact I was the only person there we had great conversation and she took the time to explain Turkish (coffee) culture to me and even ask me about my own life back home. 10/10 would recommend

This coffee workshop is so fun! Petek was our guide and really had so much fun with us. We were a small group of only 2 but she kept us entertained with history and conversation. We learned how to cook coffee the turkish way. The coffee cup take away made it feel special. We took turns reading each others coffee grinds and had fun with it. Thanks!!

She is very knowledgeable, about the origin of coffee in Turkey. She provided very clear instructions on how to grind, roast and make Turkish coffee. Her jovial energy added a nice touch to a morning class. I definitely recommend others to take this workshop.
This experience was the highlight of our trip to Istambul! Petek very enthusiasticly introduced us to turkish coffee history and the tradition around it, we learned how to make our own turkish coffee at the workshop. The fortune telling was a fun addition to this experience and a way to connect with everybody in the workshop.
