This was one of our favorite activities in Istanbul. Efe was so much fun. We did not reserve the fortune portion, but Efe was willing to play along, looking in our coffee cups, googling what the images mean, and laughing with us.

Great experience in Istanbul's Old City

I made Turkish coffee, tried Turkish delights and tea with it. Mehmet was a wonderful guide. Afterwards he even recommended me other places and restaurants to visit in Istanbul.

An entertaining way to learn about coffee culture

The experience took place in our guide's home which was a short walk from the Blue Mosque. He was engaging and entertaining and made the experience fun for us both. It was a short little workshop but was an enjoyable way to learn about Turkish coffee culture.

Excellent experience learning about the origins of Turkish coffee. We were able to make our own coffee, and drink it with some Turkish delights on the side. The leader was very kind, patient, knowledgeable, and easy to understand.
