The glow of Turkish mosaic lamps illuminates many Istanbul bazaars and cafés. Create your own unique artwork with the help of a supportive instructor during this Istanbul workshop, with unlimited tea and free-flow Turkish delight. This was easy and fun. The lamp does have a European plug, so you may need to purchase an adapter depending where you live. Lots of color options.

I had such a lovely experience. Clear instructions given on how to get there and overall a it was a really calm and relaxing vibe. You feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. The staff were lovely, Husen was especially great, he explained everything clearly and made sure we felt comfortable the whole time. You can tell he genuinely enjoys getting to know the visitors. I would 100% recommend to everyone!!

I booked this workshop for myself and my two sons while on holiday.
We didn’t know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised.
We were shown what to do and given the materials.
Others on the table were friendly and staff were on hand if we needed advice.
All ages and nationalities.
When finished we were able to take the lamp away with us.
I would highly recommend.

This is a fun creative experience at a very nice location in Istanbul. Spending some time to have fun creating a lamp is definitely different than the normal roaming of being a tourist. Zeynep provided a welcoming environment and good instructions on how to decorate my personal work of art, it was great fun and relaxing for my partner & I.

We were on a cruise ship and the location is walkable from the cruise port. It’s a great way to spend a couple hours relaxing and creating a souvenir. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Zainab was very welcoming and helpful. She made everyone feel comfortable when arriving and also explained the origin of coloured glass candles/ Kandles. Such a fun and unique experience!

The lamp making itself was fun, the sales approach around it very unnecessary. First, they try to upsell you to a larger lamp. When saying that you don't want a larger lamp, they try to persuade you. Then the sales person got visibly upset because we still didn't want it. After catching himself, he was nice again. Later same thing trying to upsell various different lamp bases. Again tries to convince you why your argument against a purchase is irrelevant. Then - and this is the worst - the guy tried to make me rate him on Viator while standing next to me. He made up some ridiculous excuse to make me review him in front of him. When I said no, he asked me if I wanted to rate him badly. YES I DO! This is the guy with a short beard who is studying computer science and wants to go to Germany for university - whatever his name is.

We really loved this lamp workshop. Our family of 5 (including 2 college age kids, a high schooler)l, and a husband that doesn’t normally enjoy “arts and crafts”) had so much fun making our lamps. Yerko was so accommodating and put everyone at ease. The class was not rushed and given as much creativity that you wanted. It is suppose to dry, so the lamp needs to go back to your room. I was able to walk around for some great shopping since my room was a ways away.

It was a pleasant experience, tea snd turkish delight were served and we could create our lanterns. Instructions were ok, but we often had to ask. Also do not expect to learn a lot about the history or techniques. The girl was friendly, the conversation was mainly a chat. The material provided was ok, limited amount of colors though.

We have a palette of over 40 colors, including both main and intermediate tones, with a rich selection of beads and glass pieces.
I’m not exactly sure which color you were referring to. During the workshop, we actually share historical background and traditional methods as part of the experience. It seems this may have been missed. In such cases, please feel free to ask our instructor directly—they’ll be happy to provide all the information.

Really enjoyed this, but be aware that they only offer European plug types. I chose to upgrade. Would be nice if they packed in boxes instead of just bubble wrap and paper for the he trip home.

It was a memorable experience . We had nice time making the lamps with my little one and a teenager. Truly it was an amazing real experience. Yerko was so helpful and explained very well. Ali engaged kids in between and all the staff are so helpful and friendly. I would really recommend to anyone coming to istanbul.
