In this experience, you will learn how to prepare authentic Turkish coffee using traditional equipment and the unique hot sand brewing method. Your instructor will guide you step by step through the process, from understanding the finely ground coffee to controlling the heat, creating the perfect foam, and serving it in the traditional way.
- As your coffee slowly brews on hot sand, you will also hear the cultural stories behind Turkish coffee, its role in daily life, and why it has been a symbol of hospitality, friendship, and conversation for centuries.
- After preparing your own coffee, you will sit down to enjoy it like a local. The experience continues with a fun introduction to Turkish coffee cup reading, a lighthearted cultural tradition based on symbols, imagination, and storytelling.

The experience has been amazing, Togrul, our “teacher” has been amazing too, he explained us everything in the best way possible and he made us feel very comfortable. The coffees were delicious and we taught a lot about the Turkish way of making coffee. I would truly recommend this experience!

Fun activity to do in Istanbul! Learned a lot about coffee and the fortune reading part was fun and memorable.
This workshop was one of the highlights of our trip. What started as a simple coffee workshop turned into a deeply engaging, historical, and cultural journey.
From the moment we arrived, our host, Ilham, greeted us warmly and offered refreshments.
He is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and brings amazing energy to the session. We brewed traditional Turkish coffee using a cezve on hot sand, all while learning fascinating stories about the origins of coffee and how it blends with Turkish culture.
The coffee ground fortune-telling was insightful, fun, and surprisingly accurate. Ilham has an intuitive, positive mindset that shines through in his readings, making everyone feel engaged and intrigued.
I recommend the workshop to you if you are traveling solo, as a couple, or with a group. It goes far beyond brewing coffee—it’s genuine storytelling and hospitality at its finest.

Great workshop. But the most exciting but informative and the staff are great. We liked it so much we signed up to the perfume making workshop too. Combine the two together - it’ll be worth it. Prioritise the perfume but you can do a smaller coffee making workshop with it.

The coffee making experience is held in a sweet little, very well decorated room, with all the rugs and accoutrements displayed and organized. Very clean and really well done! Ingkar was my teacher, she did a great job extremely personable and knowledgeable. The reading of the coffee grinds fortunetelling at the end was super fun too.

Aziz was a really fun teacher throughout this experience. We learned a ton and had great conversation throughout!
Abdullah was amazing! We had a small group so it was more relaxed and we got to ask plenty of questions! Making the coffee was a great learning experience. We had so much fun and it was so different than other experiences when traveling. Highly recommend!
Bahur was wonderful. Very educational and we had a good conversation about everything including the fortune telling she read for me.

We had an amazing time doing this Turkish coffee workshop. Samira was an absolute treat. We kind of lucked out, and it was just the two of us in this one workshop. She gave us such personalized attention, and we bonded over coffee, the world, and everything in between! Plus, we learned so much about the history of Turkish coffee and had a really fun time making our own. Highly recommend and ask for Samira if you can!
What a great experience in Istanbul. Samira made learning how to make Turkish coffee fun. She was friendly and really sweet. I loved learning about cultural traditions (related to coffee). She did great engaging the small group. They were also able to accommodate a time change for me, which worked out great.

Rüstem was very knowleagable about the history of coffee and how to prepare it the Turkish way. He also was very friendly and interacted with the whole group making us feel comfortable. The setting of the ambience for this experience is quite nice and well thought. Really thumbs up for this experience.

I had the best time here! When you enter the shop, you see they offer lots of different services + experiences. I joined for a Turkish coffee class and ended up having a solo session. My teacher, Esin, was so sweet and informative. She let me try different types of coffee, shared lots of history and technique for brewing, and overall was just so much fun to hang out with. My favourite part was the fortune telling part, where they read your grounds. The coffee was delish, and I loved learning about a more personal part of the culture. At the end, they even give you a goodie bag to try for yourself at home. This was such a fun workshop, and I’m especially grateful to have met Esin, she made the whole experience so comfortable and engaging.

A fun experience where you are being taught how to make Turkish coffee and subsequently have your 'fortune' told. Esin our host was thoroughly informative, fun and funny! Go with an open mind and take it with a pinch of salt/coffee ;-) and you'll have a blast.
I loved it... as a coffee lover it was very interesting! Apo did a fortune telling with my grounds... which was very interesting...I recommend any of the demonstration workshops!
