Your hands-on Turkish mosaic lamp-making workshop begins at a time that works best for you: Choose from several convenient start times and either head directly to the studio or request pickup.
With a maximum of only nine other attendees for company, you’re ensured plenty of guidance and support. After enjoying coffee and snacks, listen to an introduction about the history of colorful Turkish mosaic lamps—and learn the fundamentals of the craft.
Then, it’s time to create your own custom design. Choose from dozens of colors of mosaic glass tiles and beads, sketch your own geometric pattern, and start applying the mosaic.
At the end of class, you’ll walk away with your very own lamp, complete with everything that you need—an LED light bulb, bag, protective packaging, and a US adaptor—so you can safely bring it home with you.

Great experience, we all loved it and were fortunate to be with other people who were lovely. Would have been nice to have had more interaction with the provider of the workshop.

I am so happy with my turkish lamp shade. Even though the she wasn't fluent in english, she tried her best to teach me well.
TienAn_Y, Apr 2026
It’s a fantastic way to incorporate a local craft in a hands on way. So glad we did this rather than buy one in a souvenir shop.

Minimal instruction. The class seemed chaotic - the instructor kept changing and there was no one in the room with us at times. We didn’t receive coffee or Turkish delights. The lamps turned out ok, but I’m not confident the packaging they provided (a layer of bubble wrap) will be sufficient for the flight home. Make sure you have clothes to pad your lamps for travel!

Super fun experience! The workshop sent me a WhatsApp message with exact instructions on how to reach the building and a video - super helpful! They let us stay as long as we needed to finish our lamps, turned them on to show us, gave us US adapters, and wrapped them in bubble wrap! It was a great, relaxing activity. I definitely recommend.

Authentic mosaic lamp workshop! Patient and friendly staff, lots of choices for your designs. It was fun and easy, great gift to take home.

I‘ve booked this workshop for my partners birthday, we had such a lovely time creating the lamps. We recieved a complementary tea which was really tasty and were able to make lovely memories together. Would highly recommend this workshop for anyone visiting Istanbul :)

This is a perfect workshop for friends and family. You get to create a truly beautiful lamp from so many pieces of glass. And we're very happy with the result.

Really fun activity! It was a little hard to find but they were super attentive and came to get me downstairs - wonderful service! I would go back in a heart beat!

Was such a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Lina was a fantastic host for the workshop- helpful and friendly. I enjoyed making my lamp and also went a few hours later for the Turkish delight workshop. You get to keep your lamp and everything is provided. There’s no rush and tea and sweets were offered. I can’t recommend enough

It is non stressful. Our guide was excellent, she helped us and especially the children in the class. Everyone can do this!

The workshops are tucked away and very difficult to find. Lamp making is fun but no instructions or guidance is given, just a 30 second brief.
Rudo_G, Jan 2026
Fun activity and great for solo travelers. Took about an hour. You get to keep your lamp and they have adapters for different parts of the world…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

What a brilliant activity. Esra & Lina were so kind and helpful with suggestions and ideas. The perfect memento and souvenir. My husband loved it as much as I did. Great value, would highly recommend to all ages.

I highly recommend this experience. It is a chill activity for couples or family to do together. The staff were helpful and accommodating.

This was one of the best experiences my daughter and I had while in Istanbul. It was a wonderful creative outlet and we have a fantastic souvenir to take home. The ladies were so kind and helpful. We loved it and would highly recommend this opportunity.
Sabrina_E, Nov 2025
Very great experience, we were lucky to be the only ones doing this workshop so it felt like a VIP session.
The coach was very sweet and helpful.
Overall i recommend this workshop you not only have a great time decorating your lamp, but you also leave with a good memory.

They changed the location with an email 15 MINUTES before it was scheduled to start. They moved it from a very hard to find location in ISTANBUL at the last minute! The activity itself was low on instructions.

Nice and relaxing experience and very friendly staff.

Five of us (2 men, 3 ladies) had a wonderful experience learning about and making our own mosaic lamps! We really appreciated the organization and quality of the supplies and instructors, the varied color and pattern options, and the private room overlooking the busy Bosphorus waterway. We gained a true admiration for what skill and patience goes into mosaic art! We were thrilled with the way each of our lamps turned out and look forward to having a useful souvenir that will remind us of our time in Turkey. We had the opportunity the next day to visit some other mosaic light workshops with other friends and noted that our experience had much more attractive lamps, better working conditions, mosaic choices, tools, and instruction. PS, despite the organizers giving us USA plug adapters, out lamps would not light up once we got home. They are still lovely, even not lit up.

This was a really relaxing , really calm activity. Great for those with an artistic side but still easy enough for those who might think it’s out of their depth.
Unfortunately they were short staffed on the day of our experience, so I can’t comment much about the hosts, but it was still overall a great experience.
My husband and I loved the lamps we made, and brought them home with us.
Mary_S, Oct 2025
Enjoyed the general experience. A bit chaotic to start, but once you settle in, it hums along. Lots of options provided.
August_B, Oct 2025
Due to traffic we missed our scheduled event, but with communication with the event coordinator, we were able to come in later. They were incredibly accommodating with this. The activity started with a brief history of Mosiac lamps and after that we were able to start our designs. It was a very relaxing event and very easy. I would highly recommend and would definitely come back with other friends.
Samantha_C, Oct 2025
We had an amazing time. We were nervous because after placing our pieces on the paper design we had to freehand place the pieces on the glass. Once we start it was great. Looks of fun. Definitely a family activity. They also have candles available.
Kim_M, Oct 2025
Not sure how to spend my last day, I decided to do this workshop — and I am so glad I did! What better way to cherish your time in Turkey than by creating a one-of-a-kind lamp? The ladies were super friendly and always willing to help when needed. They also offered an option to make a tealight candle holder for an additional cost.
It does take quite a bit of patience and time, but if you have a free day and are looking for something unique and meaningful, I highly recommend this experience.
Thank you so much — Teşekkür ederim!
Anna_M, Oct 2025
I had so much fun. It’s absolutely worth the money. My lamp is beautiful and they give you an adapter if your from the US so your lamp works in the states.
Kristin_T, Oct 2025
Lovely experience, very relaxing. I would have loved to have a bit more color options. I already thought of a design beforehand and when I got there I had to change my plans 😆😆. Nonetheless my mosaic lamp turned out super cute! Thank you!
Medina_M, Sep 2025
This was a great experience. Ezra did a great job explaining how to decorate our mosaic lamps. There were many colored to chose from . Ezra also gave good ideas on which colors looked good together . You can't beat this price and you get to take home a lamp that actually works.
Isabel_D, Sep 2025
I didn’t personally do this experience as I booked it for my husband but the lamp he made is adorable and such a great keepsake to bring home from our trip! He said he had a great time and the lamp even came with an outlet adapter 💗. Would recommend for those looking for a craft in the city. This was the perfect thing to do to keep him occupied while I was at the salon
