This was an amazing experience! We stepped off the street onto a red carpet leading down to a traditional hamami! This is not a hotel spa- it is a historical building with fabulous and attentive staff. The experience was warm and respectful! Wish I was able to go back every day!!

My husband daughter and I had a wonderful experience. The inside of the building is beautiful. The staff showed such hospitality and care. Turkish message and bubble scrub treatment was amazing. I would absolutely do this again.

I felt rushed when the service was inside the rooms. I couldn't enjoy the relaxation part of a spa. The staff in the women's lockers were using their cellular devices (speaking loudly).) I also paid for a body massage (which was rushed, not to mention the chatter from the women's staff sitting on the steps). Three stars for the place's beautiful aesthetics and the goodbye desserts.

Great for first timers. The hammam is in a historic building with a special charm. The service is excellent and caters to tourists unfamiliar with the ritual. You don’t have to worry about bringing anything with you—they’ll give you disposable underwear. You are essentially getting bathed and massaged in a wet room—you will need to be comfortable being mostly naked. Your hair will get wet (there are hair dryers) but you may want to think about planning your service to end the day and not go into another event. It was really lovely and I felt calm, relaxed, and squeaky clean afterwards.

It is a must while visiting Turkey. I have had several but this was the best ever. It is my second time here and if I comeback to Istanbul for sure will repeat. The place is in excellent conditions and the personnel the best.

If you want an unbelievable experience this is it. I’ve only been bathed like this by my mother. If you’re modest it is not for you. But try it . I wish someone could bathe me like this everyday.

A new-to-us Turkish friend told me that this Hamam (Turkish Bath House) is authentic and very good which was welcome news since my husband and I enjoyed the experience so much! The staff were welcoming, attentive and pleasant. The lack of English for my bath attendant wasn’t a problem.

A great experience for both my daughter & I. So relaxing after a long flight the day before. It is a beautiful facility with high ceilings, stone and wood. My attendant was Oznu and she was awesome. My daughter had Ayfer and she was equally happy. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so clean & relaxed.

Beautiful place and an amazing experience. This was our first time visiting a hammam and it was fantastic from the moment you stepped through the door. The place was beautiful with a very serene air. They knew us by name when we arrived and we were introduced to our people and shown where to go. You don't need to bring anything - they provide everything you need including light underwear for use during the treatment and shower shoes. Your clothes are locked in the changing room and you take the key with you, so it feels perfectly safe. We started with a sauna and then some time laying on warm stones. Then it was off for a good dousing with warm water and a body scrub. This was followed by a good wash with LOTS of soapy bubbles including a pretty firm full body massage (my wife's was more gentle). Then a cool down period followed by tea and Turkish delight where we were visited by a super friendly cat! There was an optional foot massage and/or full body massage which we did not opt for. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the place was beautiful and the whole experience was a great introduction. I will certainly do this again if I am in the area.

Amazing experience. The highlight of my time in Istanbul. Incredibly relaxing. Turkan was my spa therapist and she did a wonderful job. I didn’t want it to end. I got a full bath and massage experience and would not change a thing.

Here's a tip: If you have 24 hours in Istanbul on a long layover (or maybe you have longer) come here for a nice little scrub down and a relaxing massage. Came here immediately after a flight and they made me feel very relaxed and clean. Placard at the entrance says it's from the 1400s and one of the oldest remaining hamams in Istanbul. Very interesting history, beautiful architecture inside. Very private. Genders are separated so no need to feel awkward about nudity. Only issue, they didn't use conditioner on my hair and my hair felt dry afterwards. Not a huge deal. Felt very nice all covered in light and airy foam. I'm a grown woman but I don't know how they made so much foam. It was like the most velvet bubble bath you can imagine x10. Got the 30 minute massage, that was nice too. Another tip: Make sure you bring enough cash to tip, I totally forgot and almost didn't have enough, and they really deserve your tips here. Great experience, very relaxing.
