Itinerary

Meet your guide at your Istanbul hotel, and enjoy views of the Sea of Marmara as you follow the European coast towards the Gallipoli peninsula. Visit the Kabatepe Information Center and Museum to see WWI uniforms, weapons, and the letters that servicemen carried into battle, then visit the property’s memorial gardens.

Learn the personal stories behind each side—Ottoman and Allied—and find out why some describe the fighting at Gallipoli as a ‘Gentlemen’s War.’ Pay your respects to the fallen soldiers at the Lone Pine Australian War Memorial and cemetery and the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial and visit the places that they fought and died; see the Nek and Johnston’s Jolly, then find the fortified trenches that still run throughout the peninsula.

Hear about the annual pilgrimage on ANZAC day, when Australians and New Zealanders flock to the Gallipoli Peninsula to remember their dead. After visiting the major sites of Gallipoli, return to Istanbul at night.

Don’t book with HTR travel agent they did not turn up so we didn’t get to go on the tour.

We never got to go because HTR travel agent did not turn up! I has cost us thousands of dollars in airfares because this was the only reason we came to Instanbul. So disappointed
