This is as close to a scam you can get. They confirmed my booking two days before but it turned out that they did not have the tickets to Alhambra at that time. In fact, they bought them from The Alhambra org the day after. These are last minute tickets that you are not guaranteed to get. In other words they sell and take payment before they actually have the tickets. In my case the sent me an email at 23:30 the night before our tour and told us that our tour was moved from 12:30 to 17:30. We could not make the 17:30 so our trip to Granada was a waste since Alhambra was the sole purpose of our trip. We have not gotten a refund.
I do not understand how a serious company as Tripadvisor can stand behind Viator. Shame on you

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. First of all, we are truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations and that the schedule change affected your plans.
We would like to clarify that, for last-minute bookings, Alhambra tickets are sometimes released without a confirmed entry time. In these cases, the final schedule depends entirely on the availability and allocation process managed by the Alhambra authorities. Unfortunately, neither the entry time nor the moment when this information becomes available is something that we can choose or control.
For this reason, our booking conditions clearly state that tour start times may be modified if necessary. We also advise guests, especially those making last-minute reservations, not to make fixed plans for the day of the visit until we confirm whether any schedule changes are required.
We understand that receiving an update late in the evening before the tour was inconvenient. However, we notified you as soon as the Alhambra released the tickets and confirmed the available entry time for the following day.
We sincerely regret the disappointment this situation caused and appreciate your understanding that these circumstances are beyond our direct control. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will continue working to ensure that all booking conditions and ticketing procedures are communicated as clearly as possible.

Dress for the weather, make sure you are ready for cold or rain if need be as we had both. Also, we walked from the train station, it is long with lots of uphill so I would take a taxi if going again.
Our guide,Richard, was excellent. Very interesting, personable and knowledgeable. We have had guides around the world and he is one of the best. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful tour of Alhambra. The palaces are amazing and a must see if you’re in Spain. We literally booked the tour the day before as it was the only option we could find! It was a very expensive tour but it was our only option. Our private tour guide experience was suppose to start at 11:30 and after waiting for our guide and him not showing up we had to call the tour company and find out it was pushed back to 4pm! This was a real inconvenience as we are traveling with a 7 and 9 year old. We ended up touring around Granada and enjoyed it but we were definitely tired when the 3 hour tour of Alhambra started, so that was less than ideal. Not sure why the tour was pushed back so late. It would have been nice to know the tour was pushed back the night before as we traveled 2 hours to get to Granada. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was nice to be able to ask any questions we wanted. He was a bit hard to understand though. It was a very expensive tour but overall we are happy we did it as we may never have a change to get back to that part of the world again and in the long run the memories and photos are worth more that the price we paid and the inconvenience of the delayed tour. It was an incredible experience.

Lucky to find these a few weeks before visit date (Alhambra tickets sell out quickly) - only option that also included Nasrid Palaces. Excellent skip-the-line tour with a knowledgeable guide - ours was Amine, who had an excellent knowledge of all the components that make the Alhambra special - the history, architecture, Arabic language, and even botany in light of the various gardens on the palace grounds.

If you are booking a tour less than a month ahead, there is an extremely good chance you will be cancelled about 30-60 minutes before the start of the tour. Even if you book longer ahead, there is still a chance you will be cancelled at the last minute. This tour operator massively overbooks compared to the allocation of tickets it can get and does not care about the disappointment and angst it causes people. If you are cancelled at the last minute, you have no hope of getting a ticket at short notice. Unfortunately this isn't the only tour operator that acts like this. Crown Tours is another and I'm sure there are many others.

We are sorry for what happened but perhaps you are referring to the agency that canceled you before! You booked with us 3 hours in advance and we have clarified that the tickets for the night visit are just as limited as the daytime one but you insisted on trying it. We have tried but there was a waiting list in front of you and what we are not going to do is skip the order from the list.

Our guide, Amine, is a personable young man who has a great deal of knowledge about the Alhambra. Taking this tour at night was an excellent way to see the Alhambra not merely because we were able to evade the summer heat but also it gives the visitor a perception of magic in the space. Allow me to quote from a qasida (ode) that I read in Robert Irwin's book on the Alhambra:
And how many arches rise up in its vault supported by columns which at night are embellished by light!
You would think that they are heavenly spheres whose orbits revolve, overshadowing the pillar of dawn when it barely begins to appear having passed through the night.
You are left with that impression, particularly viewing The Court of the Lions and the Court of Myrtles.

It was wonderful to have our own dedicated guide (Amin was excellent!) as we made our way through the Alhambra complex. There is so much to see and understand. It was nice to be able to ask as many questions as we wanted, and Amin was very knowledgeable.
