This was a very thorough tour! We felt like we experienced everything about the Alhambra. We learned a lot of historical facts, took amazing photos, and had a lovely time. The pace was nicely spaced to give enough time to see everything without getting boring.

Auxi was our guide and she was fabulous! She is very knowledgeable about everything we saw and took her time to make sure we understood everything we were seeing. She also gave us some terrific recommendations on tapas bars, a restaurant and a flamenco show. She even made reservations for us. A great tour and even a better guide. Highly recommend!

Absolute Bait-and-Switch. Predatory Pricing—DO NOT BOOK!

Do not waste your money. I paid an exorbitant premium for a VIP tour specifically to secure access to the Nazaries Palaces within the advertised tour window. The operator completely misrepresented their inventory. They walked us through the basic grounds—which you can book cheaply elsewhere—only to reveal at the very end that our palace tickets were timed for late evening. This was hours after the tour concluded and conflicted with my return train, making it impossible to visit. They charge massive markups to lure last-minute buyers under false pretenses, only to hand over useless, delayed tickets. A total scam. Avoid this operator.

Beware!!! Horrible, hugely expensive mistake.

This was a total extortion. I paid £563 GBP for a VIP tour of the Alhambra for 2 people. The face value of the tickets was less than Euro 50, but, as you probably realise if you’re reading this, they can be hard to buy on the day you want as they can sell out quickly on the official site. Anyway, the tour time was advertised at 12.30, and listed as lasting 3 hours. We therefore arranged our schedule, including trains to and from Malaga, accordingly. The guide was on time and met us at the stated point at 12.30. We started the tour. At some point, I asked about the order of visiting the various parts that require ticketed access. I had to press the guide, who was very evasive, however it eventually emerged that one of our tickets for entry to the Nasrid palaces was for 6pm, and the other was for 7pm. We had planned approx 12.30- 3.30 for the trip plus 2 hours margin. We could not stay beyond 6pm without missing our train. We booked these tour tickets about 5 days in advance- therefore there was time for the agent/tour guide to advise us of the specifics of the timed entry to the Nasrid. But no one told us, not even until an hour into the tour! The Nasrid palaces is the jewel in the crown of the Alhambra and is absolutely the thing you have in your mind when you think of it, and is the thing we most wanted to see. I feel totally and utterly ripped off and massively disappointed and, even though the provider will say that they explain the possibility of such an event in their small print, I think it is total, misleading, immoral, and exploitative charging what they did and then not delivering, or even communicating the issue.

Our tour guide, Rosa, was simple fantastic. She was communicative - pre meeting us for the tour, about meeting spot and timeliness. She followed up. We felt taken care of. During the tour of the Alhambra, she was knowledgeable, patient with our questions and super informative. Took AMAZING pictures of us, was patient with my mother who walks slower due to mild mobility issues. She knew the best spots for pictures, gave us amazing tidbits of historical facts and was simply a kind and courteous tour guide. Recommend her 100%.

Very disappointing operator - avoid!

Our guide Mohamed was a very nice man and we had an interesting walk through Alhambra and Generalife Gardens. However, I paid an outlandishly high price (over £560) for this so-called VIP private tour because this was a last minute trip and I really wanted to see the Nasrid Palaces. I didn’t see that the experience is caveated as not guaranteeing access to the Nasrid Palaces (even though they are referred to in the title). I read other reviews of other operators where people expressed disappointment that they got a last minute text informing them that there is a time change or that they would receive a refund because the operator wasn’t able to get a ticket so I texted the night before and asked if everything is okay for the tour and I was assured that it was. During the tour I asked several times when we’re going to the Nasrid Palaces and initially the guide dodged my questions and then when I insisted he tell me, he called the operator and he told me that the operator told him that the palaces are closed for repairs, which is obviously complete rubbish. I insisted that they try and get me a ticket for the next day as that was the main reason I had booked this expensive tour and I didn’t hear back from them. I then contacted Viator for a refund and they agreed to a “goodwill” refund of £29, which is an insulting amount to refund when a significant part of the money experience is missing. I think whoever you book with for these last minute tickets, there is a risk of disappointment and cancellation because the reality is that official tickets sell out weeks before. But you would do well to avoid this company’s obvious lack of transparency and integrity.

Maria took good care of us and was attentive to my safety on some treacherous & steep stairs. She seemed knowledgeable about the history of Alhambra but her English was limited and I am not convinced she was able to communicate as much as she knew. All things considered though she was a good guide and had many suggestions about how we could spend our time after the tour. Would recommend this tour.

Tour cancelled on us twice!!

Honestly, I am shocked to have even been given a feedback form since Viator did not manage to even honor our very expensive private tour of the Alhambra claiming just a few hours before, that no tickets were actually available. And now we receive a feedback form to tell them how satisfied we are with the tour (that never happened)?? This was particularly shocking given that Viator had already canceled on us the day before. Prior to traveling to Granada, we had originally booked Alhambra tickets online with Viator with a guide as part of a group visit and at 11pm the night before our 9:30 am tour, we received a phone call telling us that there were no tickets available at the booked time and that they would try to find us another slot. The next thing we knew is that they had canceled our booking completely. Since we were in Granada as a family with three children with the Alhambra being the main purpose of our visit, we scrambled to try and find an alternative tour. We found an expensive private tour that seemed to still be available according to Viator only to get canceled again. We therefore left Granada with no possibility of visiting the main site we were there to see. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing, and although we understand that the ticketing situation of the Alhambra is very complicated, companies such as Viator need to be more upfront in explaining the process instead of letting you pay and book something which is not actually guaranteed as they are ‘hoping’ they find tickets when you reserve through them. The only thing mentioned in the terms and conditions is that the time may be approximate. That was not our experience at all. They are supposedly at least refunding us in full. We will be closely checking this.

Very poor service and communication from Viator and the Tour Operator. Confirmed tickets were available and then 30 minutes after receiving payment said no tickets available. Booked for the next day, but tour operator refused to send new confirmation. Also lied to Viator about trying to contact me to request additional information for the tickets. Was supposed to receive tickets to Alhambra including the Nasrid Palaces. While on the tour, informed that we did not get the Nasrid Palaces even though it was on the original confirmation. I will say that our tour guide, Nico, was awesome but dealing with Viator and this tour operator was a nightmare, especially considering the outrageous price ($330 / ticket). Find another, more professional tour operator than this one.

Excellent tour guide (Auxi), very informative and interesting tour. Beautiful gardens and buildings. We are in our late 70s and early 80's and were quite tired by the end of our 3-hour tour. Bring water, wear a hat, don't forget your passport!
