What To Expect

We were greeted by the transfer driver early and directly outside our apartment, which was an added bonus due to the rainy conditions that day. The driver was courteous and helpful. The vehicle was a 6-pac van for our four travelers. Worth every single penny of investment to ensure personal/private transfer to the train station. Worry free without having to deal with additional stops, people, tight taxi transport, luggage, etc. Note for future travel planners: we built in too much time at the train station over two hours transport time. Our transfer took less than 15 minutes with Florence traffic and the train station is very easy to navigate, extra time was not required. We ended up having to pass way too much time in the train station.

He was not, he was on street level and we had to search him out. We had also asked for and confirmed an English speaking guide but as nice as he was, he spoke no English.

Stoic driver. We were waiting outside the hotel for ten minutes with our luggage while driver waited in vehicle a half a block back. He pulled up at exactly departure time and walked past us and into the hotel. I made eye contact and he still continued to walk past and inside, then came back out and greeted us after he realized we were waiting for him. The vehicle was a luxury brand with small trunk space, barely fit our luggage.
