Overview

Animal-loving travelers won’t want to miss the opportunity to see brown bears in the wild, safely and up-close. Take cover in a hide area at night and wait to see the bears come up to the center. While bear sightings aren’t guaranteed, there’s a very good chance of spotting them. Also look out for wolverines, foxes, and wolves.

Wir waren im grossen neu gebauten Bear Watching House. Von 17:oo-07:ooUhr. Ein Guide hat uns zuerst die wichtigstens Regeln erklärt, dann hat er uns die 500Meter zum Beobachtungshaus gebracht. Je nach Buchung kann man auch ein "hide" haben. Auf gemütlichen Bürostühlen sassen wir hinter den Fenstern und haben die Gegend beobachtet. Im Haus war sehr kalt, also warme kleider einpacken (wir waren im Juni). Haben eine Rucksack mit Sandwiches, Riegel, Joghurt und heissem Wasser und Kaffeepulver bekommen. Es hat ein Bad mit WC und Lavabo. Die Betten sind in Ordnung. Wir hatten echt Glück. Wir haben diverse Tiere gesehen und den Bären mehrfach von weitem, zweimal hat er die versteckte Nahrung direkt vor dem Bear Watching House geplündert. War ein unglaubliches Erlebnis. Aber man braucht Geduld und langes Wach-Sein lohnt sich.
