Our guides tailor the route according to the group and the weather conditions of the day. This experience will also include lunch and it's suitable for everyone, from beginners to experienced paddlers.

This experience offers you the possibility to enjoy a traditional Finnish sauna in beautiful scenery. This renovated 1958 sauna is at a 20-minute drive from Rovaniemi city center and is situated 150 meters from the bus stop. The private session is split between relaxation times in the steam bath, rocked by the crackling of the wooden stove, the sauna scent, and refreshing times bathing in the freezing water of the river. The alternance of warm and cold will relax your body and mind. A guide will show you the facilities and their use before giving clogs, towels and drinkable water. He stays available anytime in a way to insure you the best sauna conditions possible.

Don’t leave Finland without accomplishing a true Finnish adventure: floating in an icy, arctic lake. Donning your “float suit,” you and your crew will hop into the chilly waters for an experience like none other—all while staying warm and dry. Along with sightseeing our guests have the option to enjoy our panoramic sauna bathing during the entire cruise. We will also seek a protected anchor site for swimming and SUP-boarding at the Baltic Sea in the vicinity of the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress. Another highlight is learning how to make fire without the use of matches, and grilling sausages.

Your experience begins with a choice of pickup from selected locations in central Kemi or direct arrival at the main building, where a large free parking area is available. After check‑in you have time to visit the area before the included transfer brings you to harbor in Kemi to board the Icebreaker Sampo. Once on board, you will be welcomed with a non‑alcoholic drink before joining a guided tour that introduces the vessel’s history and operations. The cruise travels through the frozen Gulf of Bothnia, where you can experience floating among the ice in a thermal survival suit. When conditions permit, you may also step out onto the frozen sea. After the visit, you will be introduced to the canoes. We will travel 20 minutes from Rovaniemi by minivan and take a short walk to reach the lake. The location is our own private place away from the crowds in the middle of the peaceful nature. The main activity is of course fishing itself, but the frozen lake also offers an ideal setting for landscape and wildlife photos. Once we reach the lake, we will teach you the basics of ice fishing and enjoy a pleasant afternoon fishing and photographing. We will also set up a campfire in traditional Lappish Teepee and enjoy some hot drinks and snacks – and of course fry our catch of the day!
