We had such an incredible time exploring the market, understanding the social hub of the community and experiencing the freshest ingredients (fruit, veg, fish and all!)
The cooking class itself was held at the restaurant which was very gorgeously decorated and set up for the cooking classes. We also had coffee and a starter (the most delicious cured tuna) before the class began!
The class itself was really personable and great conversation and knowledge :) we made the most delicious cataplana!
Then we ate the cataplana alongside some other dishes and the most incredible white wine!
We would definitely be recommending this to everyone, it was such a lovely time in such a gorgeous space! Everyone was so friendly and knowledgable!

Amazing! Chef Suzanna was such a delight. Starting with the market. We learned so much about the culture and picking out produce and fish. She is such a great teacher and talented chef. We got to make cataplana it was so good! The restaurant was amazing and treated us like queens 👸🏼

What a wonderful experience. Alex our chef was very knowledgeable and patient with our questions in the market. She really knew lots of information and explained the seasons and when and how to shop. Then we went off for the cooking class and she was very accomodating to our group as one had food alergies - no problem - we made two versions of the Cataplana - We highly recommend the experience. Our dishes of cataplana were delicious as we enjoyed the patio.

What a memorable, educational, fun and delicious day! The market tour was fabulous. We learned about the market itself, seasonal fruits and vegetables, the many varieties of seafood Portugal is know for and about cured meats.
After the Market Tour, we took a lovely stroll through the streets of Faro to reach Telúlia Algarvia, the restaurant where we would cook all the food we purchased at the market. Upon arrival we were given an appetizer of cured tuna on little toasts. Soooo good.
Then it was off to make our cataplana. We learned the history of the dish and dove right in to making it. The whole process was fun and educational.
Once the Cataplana we made was done, we were sent back down to a table in the courtyard and given wine and an appetizer, followed shortly by the cataplana we made with all the ingredients we purchased from the market that morning. The sea food was so fresh and delicious my mouth is watering writing this review. Last they served us dessert which was just as traditional and delicious as everything else.
Any skill level cook can come have a great time learning about the culture and preparing delicious food. This experience was fantastic, memorable and delicious. I happily recommend it to anyone visiting the Algarve.
