The time of the year (August) meant there were no olives to be seen in their habitat as they are picked already due to the season. However, what was amazing was the presentation by Andrea and the work of her mother and sister. This is a strong female, women business who are doing so much to ensure decent olives. The presentation went through their production process including chillis, which was so cool to see.
At the end we got to sample a fantastic selection of olives, olive oil, chilli olive oil. Bread and hams with lemonade and or many different wines. Their little shop was great. I can’t wait to visit again with a bigger suitcase as to ensure I can take more home, next time.
When I arrived I was unwell, feeling dizzy and bought a lovely wine and meats. They gave me a free shot of port- on the recommendation of a visiting local lady who supplies the wines. It picked me up!
Excellent experience from start to finish from Andrea and her sister, Liliana. We travelled from Albufeira to do the tour and it didn’t disappoint. It was great to hear Andrea speak so passionately about what they do at the factory. Even for a self confessed foodie, I still learned a lot. After the tour we tasted various types of olives, olive oils, cheese, charcuterie, honey, jam and marmalade. All washed down with delicious rosé wine. We also tasted Andrea’s homemade lemonade and some red and white wines. Everything was amazing! We weren’t rushed at all and were shown such incredible hospitality. I could have stayed there all evening! I honestly can’t recommend this enough. If you’re in Tavira, this tour is a must.
Experience was entertaining and interesting. We were shown the process and machines as well as being able to taste 5 varieties. The tasting included meat, cheese and breads as well as olive oil, sauces and a fig balsamic vinegar that was amazing. Several types of wine and home-made lemonade were served as well. The little shop had lots of product. This was well worth the time and money!!
Very informative tour with very enthusiastic people. Would highly recommend for all things olives if you’re in the region. A great tour followed by a plentiful selection of locally sourced honey, marmalades, Jams and olives of course! All topped off with a local glass of wine. A great experience for all ages! This was a very entertaining and informative tour of the olive processing plant. The tasting included wine, jams, honey, cheese, prosciutto and more to accompany the olives and olive oil. Their Portuguese store has many delicious and interesting items. Highly recommend this tour. Andrea was so skillful at making everyone comfortable and could move between languages seamlessly. She was passionate and knowledgeable. It was a great value.
We had the best time learning about olive growing, picking & processing!! Also different types of olives and some about olive oil!! The ladies “ Andrea & her sister” were fabulously informative and friendly!! Thank you for a fabulous tasting as well!! We’d definitely recommend!!

Reminder that they do not press olives for oil here but learning about their process was fascinating. The staff was absolutely amazing and the tasting was fabulous!!! Great wares and highly recommend.
We weren’t sure exactly what to expect and received kindness, education and a delicious tasting. This is a family run business in the production of table olives. We learned about the process of getting olives ready for consumption and how it can be done without any preservatives. Although not the focus, we also learned a bit about olive oil too. The tasting was lovely - This is a beautiful family that gives a glimpse into their world of olives.
It was a great tour and we learned a lot about olives. I would recommend this tour for everyone. My hat is off to the woman that gave the tour.

You will get a good understanding of the making of olives for consumption.....NOT in the making of olive oil. Small family run operation with fantastic hosts that explain the process as you walk around the small facility. If you are going in offseason do not expect to see equipment operating. A fantastic olive sampling activity at the end of the tour with wine, beer, non-alcohol beverages and snacks provided. A nice touch to end an informative tour. Good to do on rainy day.
Great information on olives, the preserving, why the pit, why the texture, and etc. Great tasting experience with wine, meat, cheese, bread, the oils and everything!

When we were struggling to find the facility, Andreia was wonderful and actually ended up calling us to help us get there - goggle and Apple Maps just couldn’t find it !!

We happened upon this tour while looking for things in the area, and I am so glad we did! This tour was such a great addition to our trip. The factory tour was educational and you got to see how the olives were processed! The tour guide and the team were so knowledgeable and friendly! The tasting after was incredible. Highly recommend!

This is not an olive grove or olive oil tour. Andrea shows you the machines for olive production and explains the process. She is a born entertainer and makes the tour interesting and amusing even if the machines aren't working. The best part is after when you get to have various snacks( an understatement) accompanied with wine. We met lots of nice people while enjoying the little feast. At the end you have the opportunity to purchase some of the things you have sampled. Be warned, you will not be able to resist!
It was an excellent experience. The guide was absolutely over the top. She provided a thorough explanation of the olive processing. Her presentation was engaging and contained the perfect amount of humour. Fantastic experience with delicious and abundant tasting.
