We did not know what to expect when we booked this dinner. We were so pleasantly surprised as the musicians were outstanding and the dinner was equally impressive. Great atmosphere and a fun time was had by all!

This was an awesome show and dinner. The staff was very attentive to everyone’s needs/requests. A great variety of music from the areas of Scotland. The food was good, but the highlight was definitely the music. Highly recommend this experience.

It is a great time and the good is very good. The only downside is that it's a bit overpriced. That said, we did enjoy the event and the soup was amazing.

Geared towards older crowds, this is more of a concert. Non-interactive you sit and listen to loud music. Most songs were contemporary and sung by two older (lovely) gentlemen. If you like the beetles, maybe this dinner is for you. Nothing like what we expected.

It is not private. It is a large group activity in the upper floor of the restaurant. We did have a table for 2. There was no photo op with the piper, only of the piper.

I will start out and say that the music was awesome! Serving staff was friendly and nice. Other than that, a little disappointed with the evening. First, it was not 3 hours, only 2. Second, the food was ok, I had the Vegan Shepard's Pie and my husband had the Fish and Chips. Third, for the price, one drink included? Be prepared to pay extra if you want more than one. The whiskey tasting at the end was disjointed and not very well planned out, seemed like they had never done it before. I don't usually leave reviews, but I don't feel this was worth the price paid.

Great, enjoyable, family friendly. The Scottish food was delicious, nice options for each course. There were three of us, different selections, all very tasty. The folk music was excellent, found and downloaded his album on Apple Music. Just excellent overall.

The music at this Experience was great ... the 2 gentlemen performers were very talented and put on a good show. The Piper at the door was very good ... starting the evening off perfectly.
The wait staff were Excellent ... efficient, friendly and helpful. The food was good.
The biggest disappointment of this experience was the venue ... not conducive to this type of experience ... the upstairs of a modern restaurant totally takes away the old time Scottish vibe. We were expecting an old style pub or something similar ... big disappointment.

The location directions was not clear . It’s actually inside the pub . A lot of people looked lost when arriving at the destination . On arrival we waited inside but there was no real guidance to stand outside to watch the piper . By chance , we were directed to our table upstairs . The upstairs looked like a diner , red seats and didn’t feel very traditional . The food was ok . Wasn’t clear about alcohol. They ran out of the rose wine after the first round . Food was ok , maybe just regular haggis vs deep fried haggis balls may have been better to make it more traditional .
The 2 folk players were fantastic and very engaging with the audience .
Overall, over priced and was ok

Although this was a nice evening with live music we did not feel it was value for money.
We arrived prior to the evening starting and enjoyed a drink in the bar. When the bag piper turned up we needed to go back outside and stand on the street where it was freezing cold to listen to him. It was only enjoyable to stand out and watch him for a few minutes in the wind but we would have liked to enjoy his music for longer. Watching/taking photos of the Piper was a challenge amongst all of the pedestrians passing by infront of the restaurant and also those waiting to cross the road.
When it was time to have dinner we were shown to the top level of the bar/restaurant which made for a small crowd which was lovely.
Dinner was enjoyable as was the music but we did not feel that it was anything special.
We payed the extra (15Euro pp) to have the Scotch Tasting as my husband and father love their Scotch Whisky. After dinner the waitress put the two glass tastings infront of us with no explanation. I asked her if we could look at the bottle so we would know what we were drinking. She confirmed she would bring it to us to look at but unfortunately she never returned to our table so after quite some time had passed we proceeded to try our Scotch we were given. We were extremely dissapointed when 20minutes later a German lady got up on the microphone and started to explain the Scotch and invited us to smell for the flavours and then drink it but we had already had ours due to the very poor communication.
I personally think we could have got this experience and meal at any old pub in Edinburgh at a fraction of the price.

FABULOUS TIME!! My husband was afraid we’d only get haggis for dinner, but there were four main dish choices…one was vegan. This was a three course dinner. The two guys who sang Scottish songs were THE BEST!!! They engaged the group. There were about 30-40 people our night, and only 5 from the US. The evening was so enjoyable. And the haggis balls were pretty good (I tried them). There was an optional whiskey tasting we had paid for at the end, but we had enough whiskey tastings (we think they all taste like fireball whiskey), so we told the server to offer the whiskey tastes to the musicians. All around a good time…one of our favorites for the week.

Great atmosphere! Both music and food were wonderful! We were scared of what “traditional Scottish food” would be, but were very happy with the menu. Both Fish and Chips and Shepherd’s Pie were option. Definitely worth the money.

Piper playing the Bagpipe for 15 minutes at the entrance. Band of two nice musicians playing and singing some classic folk songs. As soon as the Dessert is finished they quickly pack their stuff and leave. Salad for starters and Fish & Chips/Salmon as Main Course were good. HaggisBalls fried in Batter became soggy in the sauce and were neither authentic nor any good. Could not taste or recognize any Turnip (Neeps) in the mashed potatoes (Tatties). The sticky cake with ice cream for dessert are nothing special or traditional like Cranachan or Trifle would have been.

Signing in was a bit chaotic as in the street outside the restaurant. The upper floor where the dinner was - very nicely done and with nice table settings. It was hot inside though, making the dining experience a bit uncomfortable. Food was reasonably good and served efficiently. Band was extremely good.

Whether it is true what they offer butoo can be greatly improved. He says they welcome you with bagpipes and it is true but on the street because no one tells you that the restaurant is the place of the event, even in my reservation never came the time and I had to write to them a day earlier asking the time and they were slow to respond.
Returning to the piper only plays a melody, and it was so cold that you could not even record without freezing, being able to enjoy the moment in the restaurant, this is not with the aim of harming, but there is much potential.
The food is very good, the service 10/10, the folk music very good the singer very good but it is tired just listening to folk all dinner. If there could be more bagpipe time (while dining) you know half and half would be great.
Overall it is good, I think it can be improved a lot. There is no experience that is listening to Scottish pipers while dining and I see that as an opportunity to have this service, for those of us who are visitors that would be great.
