Enjoyable experience with older kids

We were in 2 groups but actually we just went round together and worked as a big team. We were 3 adults, 3 teens, and 2 ten-year-olds. Everyone got something out of it and enjoyed solving the clues. Nice way to show people who didn’t know Edinburgh a little of the Old Town. It took us just under 2 hours to complete which was about right before tiredness set in for the littler ones.

Host was not active, and was rushed to complete, if you need glasses or can't see long distance this game is not for you. The hosts instructions and game rules were very basic with little information given. Over priced, £30 for 1 hour, with no interaction just one message at the start.

Hello Christine, I’m really sad and surprised by your review. It seems it wasn’t what you expected and I’m sorry about that. In this particular game the only interaction with the host happens at the beginning. That’s just the way the game is designed. People only message me if they are very stuck and I encouraged you to message me if that happened. I didn’t receive any messages from you. What really surprises me is that you feel like you were rushed because you told me that you wanted to give up because your dog was getting tired. I would have been more than happy to let you finish it. You arrived 15 minutes late, so I might have seemed a bit rushed because of that. This review will affect the reputation of our games and years of constant work and effort. I design all the games and while I know they can’t please everyone I dont feel they deserve this one star. You only have to read all other reviews to know I’m a pretty active host and always help when people are stuck. It wasn’t what you expected and that’s alright. I would have been open to some compensation if you had told me directly what the issue was. Instead you flippantly wrote this review for a game you were 15 minutes late to and chose not to finish. The game is 1.5h-2h and the 30£ price is for two people. It includes a little souvenir token that you would have received if you had completed the game. I wish you well and hope life is kind and patient with you. Sabi

We really enjoyed the treasure hunt! Very entertaining and kept us well busy. I rate this 4.5 however what would have made this a 5 star review is if we were able to keep a souvenir - something to keep to say we completed the hunt would make it better. Even if it was a badge or a small trinket like a creature for memory sake.
