I never thought I could be so captivated for 2 1/2 hours! Don't expect a tour of Dublin today, these are stories and places in old sites that are historical and fascinating. Our particular tour guide was a fabulous storyteller and really knew his stuff. I enjoyed every minute. I learned a lot about a period of time--800 to 1200AD--about which I had previously known very little. Absolutely worth it!

Our guide was funny, knowledgeable and passionate about history and all things Viking! He made an entrance fully dressed as a Viking and gave an excellent tour! My teen boys, ages 16 and 18, loved it! Half way through the tour, he brought out his wolf dog who joined us. A great experience!

Changes were needed due to the Palace closure. The tour began and the Viking spoke for 45 minutes before we began the walking tour. This was a long time to stand without moving to the next highlight. The historical commentary was very informative. Tour was longer than we expected as some of the commentary provided was not relative to the historical content we expected, which added time that was not necessary.
A smaller group may have made a difference as well as during the walking Viking mainly spoke to one individual.

Bren’s Viking walk around Dublin was so much fun. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the area and its history. He proved to be an excellent speaker, all the while dealing with the noisy city environment, tourists who wanted to take a picture with him and government closures of the castle we were there to see. Kudos Bren! It was great!

We had a fantastic day with Bren the Viking! Our expectations were blown out of the water. We were touring with our three kids (infant, toddler and teen) and everyone was super engaged by Bren’s storytelling. He brought us back in time with his immersive stories and visualizations. We learned so much and laughed SO much! I can’t recommend the Viking Legacy Trails tour enough; Bren the Viking made our family feel so special.

The tour is a MUST for anyone spend By time in Dublin. It was by far my favorite tour. Bren in extremely knowledgeable in Viking and Ireland history as well a a wealth of Dublin historical knowledge. He is also quite entertaining and open to pictures! We had a fabulous time!

This tour was the very best one I have ever been on! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and in full Viking character. It was absolutely incredible. We learned so much Viking history and we were participants in the retelling at different points. We got to see a rather large area of Dublin on this tour as well. The best part was when we made a pit stop to get the dog Luna. She was the sweetest dog I've ever met and was a fabulous addition to the tour and in perfect character for the Viking guide. At the end of the tour we got to take photos with the replica weapons and our Viking tour guide, plus Luna. It did run a little long, which was no problem for us, but if you had a tight schedule should be known. When I go back to Dublin, I would definitely do this tour again, because it was so awesome and the guide was so incredibly cool, He had tons of stories and I'm sure we only heard a fraction of them in time we had.

The walking tour was very engaging , informative & entertaining. Our guide was very well informed & mostly succeeded in keeping the group engrossed through out the 3+ hours tour. We absolutely enjoyed the whole experience . The icing on the cake was when his sweet puppy Luna joined us for the later part of the walk .

If you are a descendant of Vikings you will love this tour. History comes alive courtesy of Viking in full battle dress and his half wolf Luna. Mock fight with battle ax and shield. Great fun! Learned a lot

Bren is an excellent storyteller. He educated us on the history of Ireland and its Viking influence while entertaining us all the while. It was great walking the Viking quarter with him as he was dressed as a Viking, carrying with him replicas of the weapons and armor. If you are interested in learning about the Viking history in Ireland, do yourself a favor and book this tour with Bren. You will not regret it.
