Experience was ok. This was my second time doing a Boat Party in Punta Cana and this experience was very different. For transport from the resort to the location, the driver was very nice and respectful. When we reached the beach another guy met us and told us we could shop at the souviener places when we got back and rushed us to the shore where the boat was. All of us who were getting on the boat stood on the shore looking at it, and it took about 20-30 minutes to actually be allowed on the boat, so we were all just staring at each other. With the wait, we had plenty of time to shop. Once on the boat, no one was talking and the workers started blowing up balloons to decorate the entire boat. We were sitting on the boat with no instruction or music for another 20 minutes. DR is a spanish speaking country and on the Viator app you can select what language you speak, so there can be at least one person there to translate. No one spoke english, and so it made it hard to understand instructions on when we could snorkel and get in the shallow waters. So if the language and instructions are important to you, keep that in mind. One of the workers on the boat were kind enough to get in the water with people in my group that could not swim. But before that, there was no lifeguard in the water with us, which was different. We spent about 20 minutes snorkeling, 10 minutes dolphin watching, and 30 minutes in the shallow waters. Chips and salsa and a fruit platter were given for snacks. The photographers on this boat weren't great, and would only let you do poses that they wanted, none that I would ask for. Everyone kind of got the same pose, and they were adamant on doing poses were only your backside was towards camera and were not looking at the camera. It could have been the language barrier, but even when I explained, I did not want poses like that, they kept changing how I was positioned to take more photos like that. I did not really like how photos turned out. Price for photos are almost $50, but you don't have to buy them. Excursion went by very fast due to the long wait to start and us sitting on boat with no music while they blew up balloons and decorated the boat after we were already on. There were a lot of workers on the boat, but only 2 of them danced with us and some of the others kind of just sat there. The advertisment pictures made me think they were going to be teaching dances and interacting more. You'll see other party boats go by with the workers dressed up and leading more dances. Once my group started requesting music, two of the workers started dancing with us. That part was fun, but it took up over an hour to get to the point where people were dancing and having a good time. Upon return to the shore, the guy who met us from the van drop off rushed us off the boat and said the van gonna leave us on beach if we didn't get to van. The group of people who rode in the van reminded the guy that he told us we could shop after the boat, and he said no and that the van was gonna leave. We had to beg him to let us use the restroom before our hour drive back. He was rude to us, but finally let us go to the bathroom. Once back in the van, the actual driver was kind and patient while others needed to use the restroom as well. Not horrible, but would not book again.
