Gary is amazing! Love and peace!!! Amazing time! Great vibes! Took us to beach, caves, Dominican house. Definitely recommend
This tour was extremely poorly organized. From the start, it was clear things weren’t running smoothly. The helmets didn’t fit anyone properly, and the ATVs broke down at all three stops. What was advertised as a 3-hour tour could’ve easily been completed in just one hour—yet we spent the other two standing around, unsure of what was going on, as the guides continually walked off without any explanation.
The staff was impatient and short-tempered throughout, and at the end of the tour, the driver repeatedly pressured us to write a positive review before taking us back to the resort. It was uncomfortable and felt like we might not be taken back unless we complied.
The only redeeming part of the experience was the beach—it was absolutely beautiful. However, we were only given 25 rushed minutes there and were aggressively ushered back at the exact mark, despite having wasted so much time earlier waiting around. Ironically, we would’ve been much happier spending the entire tour at the beach instead.
In short: skip the tour. Visit the beach another way.
The road trip was fun, I would recommend the ATVs, more speedy. Macao Beach was amazing and the Cenote has fresh water . Thanks Gary et team
Booking the trip was easy and simple. I did this trip solo and I felt safe. They made sure to keep an eye out on me when vendors were trying to take me away from the group. All in all a good experience.
Vladimir was very friendly and made the experience good. He was very informative about what to expect when encountering the locals. The only thing I would change is the ability to truly enjoy the ATVs by going through the mud and getting dirty. Also, a longer time at the beach would have been nice also.
This was absolutely amazing experience my teenager was able to drive the ATV too they had a blast. The ride is 3 hrs lots of fun and you get to take a dip in the fresh water cave and beach. Family loved it.
The tour guides were great and made the experience fun. Will definitely book again when coming back.
So we were a group of 6 and they had large party of riders including ATV and buggies maybe 15. With that said the guide in front couldn’t see the whole group and we stopped and waited around more than drove…. A few inexperienced riders kept falling behind…. At first you look at the scenery thinking punta cana jungle how nice. There were some animals to see as well cows horses etc but eventually come to realize the ATV track is on a mound of trash it smells and the mud splashing from the atv is likely very contaminated. The beach they stopped at was nice but very short amount of time to relax there. And the cave was crisp and refreshing, however its was literally just a walkway down to the pool jump in take a lap and get out. There was no further exploring in caves it was a pretty small pool as well with a lot of people jumping in. Other atv and buggie companies are in the area with large parties so there are times when u cross other groups and traffic. DNR do not recommend there are better ways to explore and spend the money.
The majority of the ride is through a long back alley with garbage, toxic waste, and the ghetto. I'll stop there
I recently took the Half-Day ATV Adventure to Water Cave and Macao Beach, and overall, it was a great experience! The thrill of riding the ATVs through the beautiful landscapes was exhilarating, and the guides were friendly and knowledgeable.
Macao Beach was definitely the highlight of the trip for me. The stunning views and the chance to relax on the sandy shores were just what I needed. I only wish we had more time to soak in the sun and enjoy the beach. They said we had 30min but it really felt like 10min, and I found myself wanting to stay longer.
On the other hand, the Water Cave aspect of the excursion was a bit disappointing. It was incredibly crowded, which made it difficult to enjoy the experience fully. There wasn’t much room to actually get into the water, and I felt like we were rushed through the cave. Honestly, I think the excursion would have been much more enjoyable if they had skipped the cave altogether and given us more time at Macao Beach instead.
All in all, I had a fantastic time, but I would recommend adjusting the itinerary to allow for more beach time and perhaps reconsidering the cave visit. If you love ATVs and beautiful beaches, you’ll still enjoy this adventure!
We had such an amazing time! It was great to cool off in the cave. The beach was beautiful as well. The Dominican cigar was great as well
Very exciting! Great half day tour to go to beautiful beach and cenote. Very affordable. I recommend it.
Everyone was very nice! They were knowledgeable and made sure we had a good time! The only thing is the people that are selling things, you might want to make sure you already checked the foreign currency rates because they charged me 40 USD for a little ankle bracelet. But it was super fun.
Jumping from the cave was so fun. The beach and just the ride itself was great. We shared a ATV and it was fun. We were able to switch off riding instead of getting two separate ATV. I decided not to do two because I wanted our pictures and us riding together.
Fun adventure. Tour guide was awesome! The cave was 25 ft deep and it was pretty cool. I would def recommend this
This was the highlight of my trip highly recommended and well worth the money! I took my 8 year old and my two teens and husband we had lots of fun, I was worried as it’s recommended to take closed shoes and only had my slid ons and it was perfectly ok, I do recommend take water as I had to keep buying at every stop.
It was so much fun! Reginald was awesome! He was a great tour guide!!!! He made sure our experience was the absolute best!
Amazing I had so much fun. I would recommend to anyone who comes to this country. They were very informative and kept track of everyone.
We brought a family group of 11 people. The kids ranged in age from 25-9. We loved this. It was pretty crazy. Many of the dune buggies broke down. My daughter and son-in-law were put on a 4 wheeler instead and said that was much better than the dune buggy. We were covered in mud d from head to toe. One dune buggy in front of us started smoking so bad it looked like it was going to burst into flames. There were some significant wait times. The farm was really them just showing their products and trying to sell them. I wish they cut that part out. Even with the things we didn’t like, we still really enjoyed this adventure.
We liked seeing the Dominican people around the route. The beach and the cave were beautiful. Driving around in the mud was fun. Half of my kids said that this was their favorite part of our trip. I would recommend.
Overall it was fine, the guides were friendly and helpful. A lot of my issues stemmed from being accosted to spend money but a firm no seemed to fix it. The ATVs were fun, I only wished we had done the cenote first and Macao beach last since it was so beautiful and calm. The cenote was small and not worth it imo, too many people and not enough space. Another suggestion is to allow us to speed a little along the straight roads.
The tour guys was very helpful and informative. Seeing the roots of Dominican Republic was the best part of the trip
The experience was great, pick up was on time, the tour guide was nice n friendly and he did speak English so that’s a plus. Overall we had fun and we would definitely recommend.
Macao Beach is beautiful, the water cave was nice but more than 20 people at a time were going and it caused over crowding and could be a safety issue. They were not honest about the Package for the photos and over charged.
I’ve done this trip before in December 2022 it was amazing. This time this company was nothing like the first time! We didn’t go to the beach, ATV riding was slow and unorganized. The next time I need to know the company I’m booking with!
We had a great time despite the fact it poured rain the whole time. The roads were too flooded to go to Macao beach which was a disappointment but we got to drive through huge puddles of mud which was great. The guides tried their best to make things safe and fun for everyone. They gave us garbage bags to wear to help keep us warm in the downpour. I wish we could’ve had more time at the cenote though. The only thing I’d recommend is to have a safe place to store our things. We were instructed to bring towels, cash, bathing suits, etc and we brought extra clothes for the rain but there was nowhere to put these things while driving as the ATV’s don’t have any compartments. If you wore a backpack then it would’ve been covered with wet mud. We had to leave our things at the store while someone “watched” over them. Not safe or secure at all.
This was so fun! Wear old clothes though it gets a bit messy. Every part of the trip was great. Macao beach is my favorite beach since I’ve been to Egypt.
Guides made sure we had fun. The beach was absolutely beautiful, and jumping the the cave was refreshing from the sun. Would definitely recommend
The whole trip was a great experience…our tour guide done a exceptional job..the cave was good…all on all it was good
Great fun. Super nice people who guide you every step of the way. They were called dreams come true yours.
The atv ride is tough but fun. They take you to the beach at Macao which is pretty. The cave you dive into has crystal clear water and the air is lovely. It’s deep so plan accordingly.
The coffee and chocolate growers are nice country people. Negotiate the other purchases if you make any.
