Great experience with criticism

Although it was a very cool experience overall I do have a few criticisms. The itinerary getting there and getting back was not very clear that it would take 12 hours. We were told we would be met at treehouse inn with lunch but lunch was still like 6 hours to the inn. So the timing on itinerary was confusing. Also we got picked early in Cusco and it was cold and driver would not roll up windows and apparently had no heat in van. So not a great early commute. Had two beds and one mosquito net that I used first night and my son slept without. Vidal said when he showed us room he would get another. I asked 4 times throughout weekend and did not get one. My son slept under covers to not get bit up but I cannot so I got bit a lot by bugs and a spider the next night when we traded. No hot water. Vidal and staff were good and vidal was really good at showing us wildlife. Food was plentiful and good. I would not do this experience in August or September because River was very low and boats got stuck and had to be pushed out of rocks but made it a unique experience.

We understand that the itinerary was not entirely clear and that the van ride could have been more comfortable. We are also very sorry about the beds and hot water. We want you to know that we are working to improve these aspects and offer an even better experience to our future guests. Amazing Amazon Adventure

This experience was incredible! My fiancé and I went on this trip not knowing what to expect and we left with great memories and hopes of returning for a longer stay! Vidal and his family were incredible guides that went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We got picked up around 4:30 to take the car maybe three hours (with a breakfast stop) into the jungle where we did our first hike. Then, we continued the drive over some small rivers which was cool and stopped at a river where we got on this wooden boat. Vidal guided us down the way were we saw some beautiful birds. When we got back to the car a delicious lunch was waiting for us thanks to our driver Leo! We drove a bit more until we got to another river where we took a motor boat to the property. We stayed in a tree house that had hot water, not that you needed it, mosquito nets, although there weren’t as many bugs as I imagined, and the views! We relaxed the rest of the first day after anrriving maybe by 4pm or so and then went on a night walk where we saw a lot of frogs, monkeys, insects, caiman and some kind of cool jungle rat. The second day we woke up early to watch the parrots and macaws gather to eat clay. It was beautiful to see all the different birds and Vidal brought great quality binoculars to see far! We ate breakfast, went on a day hike, saw some more animals, rested, went river tubing, went on a night walk and ate some more delicious meals! Daisy his wife and their family made some of the most delicious, authentic home cooked food we ate and can’t speak higher about it! What I would do for another bowl of her soup! The next day we left early and headed back to Cusco! It was short but very sweet! In just three days we made such great memories and friends! The bed was comfortable in the treehouse and very clean! It is a real treehouse so don’t be surprised if some critters come in, although we never had that issue. Everyone was very professional and kind! We will have to plan our return trip soon!
