Itinerary
Your tour begins with an early morning pickup from your Cusco hotel. Traveling in the comfort of a private vehicle, transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo to board the train or Vistadome panoramic train (if upgrade selected) to Machu Picchu.
Marvel at the scenery on the journey, as you wind through the Andes and gaze out over the wild landscapes of the Sacred Valley. On arrival in Aguas Calientes, the town at the foot of Machu Picchu, your private guide will be waiting to meet you. Together, take the final bus up to the mountaintop Machu Picchu, climbing to a dizzying height of 7,970 feet (2,430 meters).
Take a moment to savor your first view of Machu Picchu as your guide offers some background information on the fabled Lost City of Incas. Then, enjoy plenty of time to explore, taking in highlights such as the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Plaza, and the ceremonial baths. Your private tour can be customized to suit your preferences, so you can opt to hike up to the best viewpoints or spend longer exploring the less visited ruins.
After your visit, return to Aguas Calientes to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch (included), before boarding the return train to Ollantaytambo.
Finally, end your tour with a private transfer back to your Cusco hotel.

Great experience with this company. My tour guide, Bryan, was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Train ticket was perfect & transportation was on time. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking to go on a more private tour of Machu Picchu, without the hassle of waiting on a bunch of other people; this is the way to go!!

Everything was perfect for except the lunch and the restaurant. Hopefully they will pick a way better lunch spot for next time. Thank you!

Perfectly organized and a friendly welcome via Whatsapp. The private transfers took place in good cars. The guide waited at the train station with a sign. The tour at Macchu Picchu itself was outstanding. The guide explained everything and showed me the best places for photos. Overall a very good day at Macchu Picchu.

Getting to Machu Picchu from Cusco is a complicated trek involving cars, trains and buses. And experiencing any historic site or tourist destination with a large group prevents you from going at your own pace. Viator simplified all the logistics and allowed us to explore and photograph the ancient Inca city at our leisure. Edyson, our tour guide, was knowledgable, patient and accommodating. Mapacho, the restaurant Viator arranged for our lunch, has a beautiful view of the river below and exceeded our expectations in multiple ways (there was even quality live music). And spending a little extra to ride the Vistadome train car, with its glass ceiling-enhanced view of the surrounding scenic landscapes, was money well spent.

I strongly believe that I overpaid for this tour.....Do not get me wrong, Machi Picchu is a most in Peru but I paid for a private tour as I wanted and needed someone who would take care of the entrance ticket to Machu Picchu, the bus and train transportation.
Getting in touch with the company was almost a mission impossible. They are very hard to reach and I had to send several emails before they finally responded. As the confirmation paper does not state if the train and bus tickets were included.
I had a driver pick me up at my hotel timely arounf 4-4:30 am. He took me to Ollataytambo Train station which it was over 1 hour away from Cusco. Then I took the train to Aguas Caliente which it was a little bit over 2 hour ride. Once I arrived to Aguas Calientes, I was lost as there were a lot of people going to Machu Picchu and this lady, who was very nice provided very quick instructions for me to get into the bus to Machu Picchu. She took a picture of me with the excuse that she would send it to me later (she never sent it) but I guess it was for her to send it to my guide so he would recognized me. She was very explicit that there were going to be many guides by the entrance that would offer their services but to not listen to any of them and wait for mine. After 25 more additonal minutes in the bus to Machi Picchu my guide recognized me and we walk through the ruins. He was very knowledgable, very nice but me having a very sensitive smell, it felt like the guide hadn;t taken a shower in a few days and spending 2.5 hours with him was hard on my nose. He was nice, he explained everything, took many pictures even knew the best spots for pictures but at timeshe was talking so fast, like reciting s story that I would get lost in his story telling. He should take more pauses and make sure whoever is listening understands. After we were done, he just said to take the bus back to Aguas Calientes and mentioned the name of the place where they reserve for lunch, which was Mapi. The hostess treated me like trash! the didn't want to take care of me and wanted me to seat outside in the back!. I asked for the wifi password which she only gave after I asked for a second time. The food was delicious but the service was horrible. I didn't get anything to drink and I had to approach more than once because I was being ignore! Again, I paid over $400 for this tour and I should have been treated much better, you can do everything on your own, save $ and have a better experien

Dear Teresa,
Thank you for your review, we are happy to know that you enjoyed your Machupicchu visit. We want to let the readers know about the complaints you had.
- The prices are according the number of people. We provided this tour as private only for you (1 person).
- We always contact all our clients before the trip starts for a brief orientation that herds in your own hotels. This time we called your hotel trying to reach you but no response. When we finally reach you, we asked you for possible meeting times but you were full as well.
I AM ALWAYS AVAILABLE BY WHATSAPP AT +51 978616323 to answer or provide any information you need in a real time.
- In Aguas Calientes our concierge explain in many ways on how to meet our guides at the entry gate up in Machupicchu. We are sorry for the misunderstood and the picture that we couldn´t delivered you.
- We don´t usually have complains about guides smell or skills talking too fast. Unfortunately, our guide was with flu and cough that day and we are sorry for causing a very bad moment.
- The restaurant is on of the best in town, we are sorry for not receiving attention at the restaurant which is not typical.
Again, thank you very much for your time and posting your feedback which is very helpful so we can keep improving our services and have more attention in all mentioned details and work harder to give the very best for our guests.

Everything about this tour was perfect.
Two days before, Franklin arrived at the hotel to give us the briefing of what the tour would be like. He left us perfectly ordered tickets, train, bus, tickets to the park and itinerary.
The day of the tour, Jordi, the one in charge of taking us from the hotel to the train station, was punctual and super polite. While we were going to the train station, another car collided with ours and for a moment I thought "we are going to miss Machu Picchu". Jordi immediately got another car to take us, and he was left solving the problem of the accident.
Martin, the driver who got us Jordi, was also super friendly and courteous, took us to the train which we even arrived 10 minutes before and explained clearly all the steps we had to follow when arriving in Ollantaytambo.
Fredi, the general coordinator, even had the kind gesture of calling Martin's phone to ask how we were doing and if everything was fine with us due to the accident. (as if it was his fault).
The trip on the train was magical. We took the Vista Dome and I can actually tell you that it is worth every extra penny you pay to have a view of such a beautiful landscape.
In Ollantaytambo we were received for a young lady who guided us to board the bus that would take us to Machu Picchu, where Jose Luis, our guide, was waiting for us.
Jose Luis is someone who knows a lot about Machu Picchu (pronounced ma-choo-peek-choo). If you go, and you are lucky enough to have Jose Luis as a guide, please ask him what does "Pichu" mean;), because he wouldn't tell me.
Machu Picchu is simply magical. There is no more to say. It is overwhelming.
Traveling friend: If Machu Picchu is part of your bucket list, do not leave it for later. And if you go to Machu Picchu, PLEASE hire this company to be your guide, they are super professional, polite...they are wonderful.
All tourism companies in Cusco should follow the high standard set by Mr. Fredi's company. Congratulations. You are it.
When I return to Cusco, I will make sure to hire ALL of my tours with you.
A big hug. And again, thank you very much

From start to finish, my experience was flawless. The driver came to pick us up on time. The drive to the station was comfortable. The driver was kind and attentive. The tour guide was knowledgeable about the ruins and their history. We had an amazing time.

Machu Picchu is magical but the service that the private full day provides is impeccable. Highly recommend the local service.

The transportation to Machu Picchu was great. Everything was on time & efficient. Our private tour guide (Erick) was wonderful. He shared so much knowledge & showed us all the great spots for photos while in Machu Picchu. The transportation back (specifically the train ride) was TERRIBLE. we paid premium money for the Vistadome & it broke down. We were stuck for quite sometime on the tracks & there was absolutely NO communication on what was going on. VERY disappointing. We got home over 2 hours late with no compensation. I will be reaching out to address that in more detail. Besides that detail it was incredible though!

I would highly recommend this tour. We were well taken care of from start to finish. Our driver picked us up at the hotel and delivered us to the train. We were met by another person when we got off the train and escorted to the bus. Our guide Carlos led us through Machu Picchu and tailored the tour to what we wanted to see and our abilities. Carlos was a great guide and we learned so much about Machu Picchu and the Inca culture from him. We had some time to shop before we boarded our train for the trip back. While this was a long day, we really enjoyed the personal attention that the private tour afforded us.

We loved the Vistadome Train. The tour was amazing. The tour guide, Jose was wonderful. He taught us so much. I would take this tour again in a heartbeat! The only thing I would say is that you need to check your tickets closely as soon as you get them. For the train ride back two hours long the tour company had separated my 13 year old son and I into two separate train cars. He was very upset. We had to beg the Peru Rail staff to fix it for us. Thankfully, they found two seats in the same car and we were able to sit together. Overall everything was wonderful!

I had a wonderful time on my Machu Picchu private tour. I was picked up from my hotel on time, early in the morning. I met my tour guide, Fredi, at the site. The whole thing was just perfect. No delays, good communication, information, and very good tour of the site. The train ride was also quite something. I will recommend this trip to anyone who wants to visit the ruins on a more personal level.

The place is already great to visit! The structure to receive lots of tourists everyday is really good and the team pick up drivers and guide were really helpful and kind. The train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu is very comfortable and there was a very nice dance presentation during the trip back to Cusco.

These guys really take care of you. Every step along the way. From picking us up at the hotel, to driving us to the train station, to putting us on the train, to picking us up at Aguas Caliente, giving us a very substantial box lunch with additional snacks and drinks and then putting us on a bus for Machu Picchu with our guide, Carlos waiting for us there. Carlos was very knowledgeable about Machu Picchu and did the tour at our speed. he explained the history, the significance of all of the buildings and the Inca religion. He then accompanied us back to Aguas Caliente, where they fed us dinner, and because there was some time before the train, actually got a hotel room for us to rest! That was not included in the itinerary, but they did not charge us for that. The dinner was very good, and our family felt that we were very well taken care of from the time they picked us up at the hotel until the time they dropped us off. Wonderful time, and we expect to come back with more of our family, and we will use these guys again!
