The visit to Machu Picchu is absolutely amazing and should not be missed. But do yourself a huge favor and book your visit through a local tour operator and NOT VIATOR! We booked our trip for 3 adults almost 8 months before our trip and received confirmation and receipts for 3 adults. It wasn't until literally a few hours before our tour that we discovered that Viator booked tickets for 2 adults and 1 child. The local tour operator worked tirelessly with us to correct the error. But it was only after a lot of stress and the purchase of new rail and park tickets that we were able to make our trip. Viator collected our money but did not deliver the service we ordered. There are many honest and competent tour operators that you can use for Machu Picchu. Viator is not one of them. Book directly with a local tour operator.
