The short Inca trail is a must for active travellers that want to experience Machu Picchu in a meaningful way without spending 4-5 vacation days trekking to the site.
Richar from AB Expeditions was nothing short of amazing. His knowledge of Inca culture deeply enriched our hike, and his positivity and attention to detail ensured we made the most of this two-day excursion to one of the most sacred places in Peru. I wish we could have had him guide us through our entire trip in the country—his caring and genuine nature made us feel safe and comfortable.
It didn’t go unnoticed how much organizing it takes to bring a group to this place. Briefings, bus rides, train tickets, entry permits, accommodations, meals (The lunch on the trail was one of the best meals we ate in the ten days we spent in Cusco), and just maneuvering Agues Calientes was something that would have been difficult without an experienced guide.
AB Expeditions was one of the top tour companies when we were selecting our trek, and I would recommend them to others looking to visit Machu Picchu.
Thank you Richar! That view from the Sun Gate is something I will never forget.
The hike was amazing. Machu Picchu was incredible. Our guides were so knowledgeable and patient with our group. The food on the trip was amazing. Highly recommend.
Javier was a great guide, very helpful and informative. The picnic lunch was amazing. The climb is long but worth it.
