It was a fun and wonderful trip! Joanne our trip guide was very fun and amazing. She went above and beyond to giveus an amazing time. We love her and our boat captain. They were amazing. Bacalar is paradise and the memories there will last forever.

The tour company canceled my excursion less than 24 hours in advance. They stated they did not get the minimum of 6 participants to run the tour. I do not recall seeing that requirement anywhere in the listing.
I was on a cruise and I do not typically buy the wifi. I checked my email as soon as I got off the ship and connected to the wifi in the cruise port.
Miraculously, I was able to catch a cruise sponsored excursion moments before they departed. If I had not moved with such haste, my entire day in port would have been ruined.
I do not object to minimum participant requirements, but I feel 48 hours notice should be given. I did have wifi in my previous port and would have seen the email if one had been sent.

The guide did not show up, we were left waiting in a dusty parking lot for over 2 hours. Could not get any other tour. Lost one entire day of vacation. Viator support was useless, they just kept saying “unfortunately”. Waiting for compensation before escalating this to a higher level. This was a tour recommended by Viator agent the night before, who assured us we would be picked up and have a great time. Anything for a sale.

The trip is a bit long to get to the lagoon, but after arrival, everything was great. Johanna was a great guide and our boat driver was great. Lagoon is very beautiful. Better snorkeling would have been nice...but they don't have in the lagoon.

We had a great time on our excursion. We met our tour guide just outside the port gate. The taxi van was clean and the 50-55 drive was enjoyable because our tour guide did a lot of Q&A during this time. We stoped to get fresh pineapple before proceeding to the boat. We got to ride around the boat and swim for about 2hrs. The Lagoon is beautiful. I my personal opinion, the shrimp tacos at the restaurant was the best part of the trip and worth booking the excursion just for it alone. Would highly recommend this excursion and tour group.

We had a great time. There were 10 of us on the tour. We learned about the area. We had a wonderful swim in two locations. After the boat we had a nice taco lunch at a local restaurant. My 10 year old enjoyed it and Ivan was a great guide.

Trip is 1 1/2 hr away from port but is totally worth it!! Awesome tour and place to visit , wonderful guides, they are always in contact with you by phone or chat .Van with air conditioning and in good conditions and the lunch was very tasty!! We recommend to go out of the ship early because even if the tour guide says it starts at 930 am they will go when everyone is there no matter if it is earlier

Jhoana was the absolute best!! We could not be more in love with Bacalar and the whole experience, from getting off the cruise to find jhoana we had some trouble bc of internet & I was able to connect with them as they were looking for me too. We found each other and off we went on a wonderful tour - full of incredible information, lots of great memories, felt safe and relaxed. We highly recommend!!

Our trip was amazing! Jhoana was our guide and she did an awesome job of giving lots of information on our drive and taking great care of us on the ship. The drive to Bacalar from the port took a little over an hour but was worth it! The lagoon is beautiful and we had lots of fun swimming. Jhoana provided drinks and snacks while in the lagoon. Then we enjoyed a delicious lunch before heading back to the ship. It was a perfect day!

Our trip to Bacalar Lagoon was amazing! The great experience started the night before when the team from Eco Experience texted us with instructions about the excursion meeting point and other details which gave us a great sense of security & showed how professional they are. The day of the excursion they had everything organized, coolers with drinks (alcohokic and sodas) and took our family to the beautiful Bacalar Lagoon which was simply amazing. This is a fresh water lagoon, not salt water (surprise for us). After the lagoon we came back and our meal and drinks were all set and waiting for us. Meal was delicious and service was again great. It truly was an amazing experience. Only drawback was maybe that the travel distance was more than we expected about 3 hours round trip.

The destination is truly amazing, I was so impressed by the beauty of the lagoon. The staff outfitting this excursion is super friendly and attentive and they went above and beyond. Everyone from the host/guide/captain were super nice! 3 things to note is that the walk out to catch the bus outside the port is notable, especially during the hotter time, the bus ride is about 2 hours each way and the lunch took FOREVER! We almost missed the boat and had to hussle to get there. Nonetheless, Bacalar was worth every minute and money invested.

Amazing experience! Bacalar was absolutely gorgeous! The people were friendly, the food was yummy, and Jhoana was adorable (she even jumped in the water with us)!! The weather was a little less than perfect but even that could not take away from the natural beauty. We would highly recommend this tour!

This was an absolutely incredible experience. We had a very comfortable taxi ride from the cruise ship port to Lagoon. We were met by Jhonna who was the best. She took very good care of us even taking photos of me swimming in the water. She and The boat captain gave us useful information about the Lagoon and how it maintains its purity. We highly recommend this booking which includes a delicious lunch of fish tacos. I feel I have made a friend for life and hope to return here again one day

Laguna bellissima ma purtroppo è un esperienza che con questa compagnia NON RIFAREI MAI PIÙ’!
Saremmo dovuti tornare al porto alle ore 3.30, orario che mi è stato confermato in diverse occasioni, ebbene noi alle 3.30 eravamo ancora vicino la laguna a consumare un misero pranzo e a nostra richiesta sul orario di ritorno ci hanno comunicato che avremmo dovuto aspettare un’altra ora per ripartire ! Noi avevamo imbarco con la nave, CHE NON ASPETTA NESSUN RITARDATARIO (lo specifico perché ci è stato detto a più riprese che la nave ci avrebbe aspettato), alle ore 17.30 e la strada che collega il porto alla laguna è sempre trafficata per via di lavori e dista più di 1. Ora e 30. Ovviamente ci siamo impuntati di farci partire subito perché volevamo tornare immediatamente al porto e dopo accese richieste io ed il mio fidanzato siamo stati caricati da un taxi, purtroppo una signora , preoccupata e disperata come noi , è dovuta rimanere lì in attesa di partire con il pullman. Preghiamo che non abbia perso l’imbarco !
