Pricey for a lot of talk and a little food!

rea_p, Dec 2025
Well there was a great deal of talking and not a lot of food. I did appreciate the history and stories about the city but the food was sparse. We received the equivalent of two appetizers, a bowl of soup, half of a sandwich and a dessert during the 3 1/2 hour tour. The sites were beautiful and the tour guide was very kind but for nearly $200 per person, I expected way more food and I’ve been on several food tours so I didn’t get what I expected for the price! This was the first food tour I’ve ever been on where I went to go eat afterwards because I was still hungry.

Enjoyable 3.5 hrs

Susan_A, Dec 2025
This was a fun small group tour (6 of us) to some off the beaten path restaurants/cafes/kiosks with a very personable tour guide Falke. I traveled with my daughter who has lived in Cologne for 8 yrs and has never been to the places that we went to, and she learned some new things. The food and beer was very good, although I would suggest to the tour guide that each person have their own individual plates, even if it’s a smaller portion. And it wasn’t appropriate or safe to share a bowl of goulash with a stranger. Overall, I would recommend. Thanks!

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Thank you so much for joining us! We're happy to read both you and your daughter enjoyed the tour. And thank you for your constructive feedback, we will take this into account.

The tour was pretty...

YEEVON_L, Nov 2025
The tour was pretty lovely. It consists mostly on famous and very traditional local food that are seldom mentioned among tourists, in which gave us an opportunity to learn more about local traditions and at the same time explore a diverse selection of food. Overall I'd say it was a very eye-opening experience for tourists to get to know more on the history of Cologne and its food. The only thing I’d suggest is to clarify that the tram ride is optional and depends on the situation. Since the tour itinerary mentioned that admission tickets were included, it could give visitors like us the impression that the tram experience was confirmed and paid for, when it is not. Aside from that, everything else was smooth and enjoyable with tour guide Falke.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Thank you very much for your 5-star review! And also for the feedback, as this will definitely help us to improve. All the best from the Fork & Walk team.
