Got a fantastic overview of various types of Kolsch beers offered in Koln/Colonge. Our guide was Bernie and a trainee named Vincent was there from the Kolsch crew. Bernie was very knowledgeable. There was one other couple so it was intimate and a load of fun learning the German customs, forgetting to place the coaster on top of the beer, and seeing the various breweries along with interesting historical facts along our walks. Highly recommend if you want an overview of various breweries and a fun tour. Bernie did an excellent job in explaining popular culture too along with showing us important items in each Brew house.

Very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Very enjoyable tour and the walking between breweries was pretty light.
Great selection of Kölsch bier and interesting to taste and discuss the nuisances between each brewery.
Fun for both an experienced beer drinking as well a novices.

It ended up being just our group of 6 with our guide Marina. It was a crowded Saturday afternoon in town, but Marina got us right in each location and made us feel like VIP’s. Great history information, great beer, great time. Highly recommend Marina!

I booked this for my husband's birthday. We quickly ate and then rushed to get there as we had other things on. When we got there, nobody was there and then on rechecking the time on Viator I found a message saying it had been cancelled (only 2 hours before the start) due to not enough people signing up. On checking the small print in the description it says:-
"This experience requires a minimum number of travellers. If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund"
It hadn't occurred to me that it could be cancelled once booked so I didn't realise to keep checking the Viator messages. A phone call would have been appreciated. Or even better no cancellation!

Interesting tidbits on the beer culture in cologne but the guide did little to unite the group -and the collection of money at each stop was extremely awkward - would much rather that the beer cost was incorporated into the cost of the tour

Ross was nice enough but the “tour” was boring, the Kolsch repetitive and the venues just very average. Save your money and use it to buy more beer and visit more bars. It’s definitely intimidating to go to bars on your own when in a new city. But honestly, Koln is east to navigate and you can’t get into much trouble anywhere you go.

Our guide was exceptional, focused on our interest. Sociable with a sense of humor. Took an afternoon tour (15:30), so pubs were not too busy (highly recommended time). Comfortable, leisurely pace, I regret that I cannot remember her name for others.
