The boat was not crowded which made it perfect for taking pictures. The only complaint I have is that the benches were wet outside. The worker (woman) gave a towel to 2 other women to sit on, but when I asked her if my husband and I could have one also. She said no and shaken her head. She’s discriminating me because I don’t know how to speak German language and only speak English. 😢

Enjoyed the cruise. The meeting point was a 5 minute walk from the dock for some reason. And the staff was stunningly unwilling to communicate in English, which was 90% of the passengers. Offputting.

We expected a nice Audio-guided River Tour with some Wine/Beer/Snacks... but it ended up being over-crowded, with nowhere to even sit. It was so overbooked that people were pulling out chairs and just sitting all over the place in random spots without tables or anything for their food/drinks (some on the deck). We wanted to hear the information along the tour but again, overcrowded and people partying and VERY loud - so much that you couldn't make out anything the audio tour was saying (literally). The Wait Staff were stretched thin, so by the time the Tour was over you maybe had 1 or 2 drinks and possibly a snack, with no knowledge from the Audio Tour and nowhere to sit. Like I said, there is room for improvement, and it could be a great tour (very nice ship, Staff seemed nice and helpful) - I wouldn't suggest as-is though.

It was a pleasant experience. Had a few beers and just chilled out going up and down the river. If you want to listen to the tour guide you need to sit inside but as it was a nice day we sat outside.

Not great. Firstly the directions take you to the ticket office NOT the departure point which is says it is. This means you’ll then have. Ten min walk to the boat so do not leave it until the departure time thinking the directions are right.
Second, for all the boat is nice and massive, the staff on board were more bothered about setting up for a party later on than serving you anything. Plus when you’re on deck trying to listen to the info about the sights all you can hear is them with bottles and barrels loading the bar up. Drinks on board are extortionate. For two small coke bottles and a water was €20!!! Honestly don’t bother. It doesn’t go that far up the Rhine anyway and you’d be better walking it and saving money

Absolutely horrible. Our excursion was booked for the wrong date and we realized 48-hours prior, at which time we immediately contacted Viator. No support whatsoever from Viator or the tour company.

The boat is good. Very crowded and loud. I think for the price we got to enjoy some beautiful sites, however it was unorganized, loud, and felt like a complete tourist trap. If I did it over again, I would much rather had paid for a more expensive boat with less people. Also there was so many kids who were unsupervised just running around which changed the experience as well

A pleasant enough cruise in a cool boat on a hot day. Not masses to see on the river banks. Commentary was informative. Make sure you arrive at the riverbank early enough to work out which boat is providing this Viatour cruise because the signage does not make it obvious

This was the first tour of Cologne that we took after arriving jet-lagged. It was perfect. We found it relaxing to sit on the upper deck and get a brief overview of the city. It’s a good way to learn the lay of the land when you first arrive. The drinks and food service was friendly and attentive.

Be prepared for groups of friends (local) as well as tourists who are loud and demanding - that because they are a large group they can push you, if you are only two, around because they are many and they are local. We first went on top but because of the groupof 20 women on one side a d 8 friends on the other we could not hear any of he commentary. So we gave up and went below where we could hear and at least get the curt service from staff.
