Amber was a great guide. She was very personable and dedicated time to everyone on the tour. We learned a lot about the history of Köln beer & she made it easy to hop from place to place and feel comfortable. She even patiently waited with the group so we could shop! This experience allowed to taste different types of Kolsch within the city that we would not have necessarily tried or been introduced to on our own. David was a great guide and brought us to places that felt warm/cozy with great beer.

This tour was a lot of fun. We visited several breweries and sampled a Kolsch beer at 4 of them. We ended up staying at the last one for dinner. Our group was great. It’s always a good time visiting over a beer with fellow travelers.

Great Kolsch-focused tour within a generally small area (1.5 miles). Andrea (our guide) was awesome! She was full of facts about Kolsch beer and Köln history! Highly recommend!

Just no…. I’m sorry to David? Daniel? tour guide. He seemed very nice but this tour just wasn’t it. I don’t think any reservations were made because at the first stop there was no room for us. We awkwardly huddled around while the guide shouted down at us from a stairwell trying to give information. Second stop we did have a table but again hardly any background info. Also David said the beers were £2.50 or less. All that’s included in this tour is 3 pours - that’s £7.50. For my husband and I this tour cost £56 so £15 of that was beer and the rest was for what? Cologne and the kolsch have a rich history - this tour needs to be seriously reworked to showcase that. I just expected a WHOLE lot more. We’ve taken a lot of beer tours in different cities/countries and this one ranks very very low. We actually left after the 3rd stop so we could catch an earlier train. I would not recommend this tour to anyone.

We thought it was an actual tour of a brewery to see the process of making beer. Actually it was visiting several brew houses around the Heumarkt area. Enjoyable time meeting people in our group and having good Kölsch beer. Sean did a wonderful job!

We had the best time! You learn a lot about the history of the city, not just the beer.
Bring extra cash with you for additional stops that aren’t included in the 3 free beers.
Our tour guide, Marcel, was very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. He created a great atmosphere for the tour and we had a really great time.

Mike was a GREAT guide! We, my husband and I, took this tour with three of our young adult children (20-24yrs old) and even though none of our kids liked any of the kolsch (they tried each of them), we all had a great time! A little history, a fair amount of beer, and a lot of laughs made for a fun evening for everyone! One of our girls said she never would've done this tour if I hadn't booked it (ya know, cuz she doesn't like beer), but she was really glad we did it!
