Amazing family experience

This was a highlight of our time in Sicily. We have 3 young kids (6, 4, and 1). The two older kids participated as well as my husband and me. We all had a lot of fun and learned a lot. All of the artists who helped us were exceptionally warm and kind with our children, which made the experience very special. We can’t wait to see all our finished pottery sent back to us at home to remind us of such a great day!

Very,very fun way to spend a half day. Learned how to use the pottery wheel, a press, and painted several tiles. All being shipped home. Super nice and friendly instructors.

Oh my, where do I start, I have wanted to try Pottery for as long as I can remember, finally for my 30th Birthday my husband and I booked this experience. Believe me when I say that it is well worth every penny. It is such a personal experience, the teachers are very helpful and just lovely people. The day was filled with laughing and great vibes ! The workshop is just incredible, being able to watch the very talented artists create in the same space you learn. It is not just a class, you sit in the teachers chair where they create. Painting the tiles was a pleasant surprise, it is alot harder than I expected! My husband got the hang of it very quickly! They were very impressed ! I am so soo grateful for this experience and recommend it to anyone who visits Catania. If I ever visit Catania again I will come visit/book another class. Thank you, thank you for making my birthday special ♡

My wife and I traveled with two other couples. This tour exceeded all of our expectations. The artisans were very patient and spent a lot of time with each of us as we tried our hand at working with the clay and painting our personal tile souvenir. There was always one or two of the staff to help translate our questions and to explain what the very talented artisans were saying and doing. Of course you could peruse their completed works and buy something but there was no high pressure to do that. This is a family enterprise and everyone made you feel comfortable and welcomed. If you're looking for something different to do during your visit to Sicily, especially if you're going to be in or near Catania, I highly recommend this tour.

Abbiamo trovato una grande disponibilità e professionalità da parte dei titolari dell’attività e di tutti gli artigiani coinvolti nel laboratorio. Un ringraziamento particolare perché con noi era presente una persona disabile e c’è stata una grande attenzione e cura nei suoi confronti. L’esperienza è stata davvero coinvolgente e siamo stati seguiti passo passo per prendere confidenza sia con la lavorazione dell’ argilla (indimenticabile l’esperienza al tornio) che con la decorazione. Consigliatissimo!

A mí mujer le hacía mucha ilusión practicar la alfarería. Es amante del arte. Giovanni nos guió en el uso del torno con mucha paciencia y buen humor. Pudimos hacer nuestras propias piezas y conocimos todo el proceso de un auténtico taller artesano y tradicional siciliano donde hacen obras fabulosas. Lo recomiendo sin ninguna duda y muchas gracias a todos los trabajadores de Ceramiche De Simone por hacernos pasar un rato muy divertido
