Alejandra was THE BEST. She was knowledgable, engaging, funny, and provided the best experience we could imagine. She curated the experience to our tastes and interests. Claudia's cooking was also so good and we did not realize before booking that the light bites we receive are freshly prepared in the kitchen! We had so much fun the four of us (me, my wife, and our two cousins). We ranged in age from 22 to 35, but I think any aged person would enjoy this immensely.

We had such a great experience with Alejandra during this tasting and would highly recommend! We tried 9 different rum/liquors and had a few snacks throughout. We learned a lot and drank a lot. If you’re interested in learning about Colombian rums then definitely book this tour!

If you're looking to escape the heat and try a bunch of different rums, this is the tour for you! Our tasting lasted just over an hour and we had the most amazing time. Sebastian was not only super fun, but so knowledgeable and we had a blast! We ended up buying rum and chocolate to take home. The pairings were spot on! Highly recommend!

Really nice rum tasting experience! Alejandra really knew her rums, from Aguadiente to Dictador. She paired them with not only chocolates, but some savory snacks, and had a delicious cocktail in between. HIGHLY recommend if you’re a rum enthusiast!

This was top notch one of the best and fun experiences we had over the trip. One because was my birthday, and two because Wendy was amazing in explaining the various aspects of the local rums and aguardente. Besides that she made us feel comfortable and ensured we had a great time!!!

Wes was the best Rum expert for the job. The knowledge Wes shared with each Rum and the reason for pairing them with chocolates was top tier. It was just my partner and I which made it even more special, personal and enjoyable. A must do while in Cartagena!!!

Me, my wife, and my daughter really enjoyed this experience. The rums were tasty as were the food pairings. Our guide, Alejandra, was very knowledgeable about each different bottle of rum (there were 7 rums and 2 aguardiente's), providing a lot of detail about the differences and similarities of each one.

This was such a rich experience of culture to learn from Columbian natives. Alejandra was our guide and she is very knowledgeable of the 8 different rums we tasted. She gave us a little history about herself and how she ventured into this craft and it's her calling. Her beautiful personality allowed us to be comfortable during the tour. The chocolate was such a unique pair with the rum and they compliment each other well. This was truly a great experience. We ended up purchasing a bottle to take home. You should definitely add this to your itinerary!

After a long day walking Cartengena it was so very nice to do a Rum and Chocolate tour with Wes our Rum tasting tour guide at El Arsenal The Rum Box. Sampled 8 Rums in a nice air conditioned room with walls filled with Columbian Rums and Chocolate. Very nice atmosphere and Wes did a great job explaining and answering questions about the Columbian Rum culture. Highly recommend if you like different alcohol tastings and pairings.

If you visit Cartagena, Colombia you MUST book the Rum Tasting Experience with Sebastian!!! My husband booked a romantic Rum Tasting experience and Sebastian played music to our liking and was very knowledgeable on how the different rums are created! He explained that when you see X.O. on a bottle of liquor that it means Extra Old!!!

Alejandra was so knowledgeable and the rum tasting was clearly so thoughtful. Each rum took us to a different part of Colombia and told us the history of rum; and also a bit about Alejandra’s own journey to becoming a rum connoisseur, which was a really nice touch. As she got to know us better she was definitely tailoring the experience to our personal preferences. The savory bites & chocolate pairings were a nice addition and were thoughtfully curated as well. Gesú, who was helping her out was also very kind! By the time the experience was done we were sad to leave as it had felt we had just become friends!! I highly recommend this experience.

My husband and I were the only ones at the 8pm slot so we got a private tasting. Cocoa was an excellent host, very knowledgeable and patient with our questions. We tasted 8 rums and had three small foods in addition to several chocolates and a roasted cacao bean. Best part for me was learning a new cocktail I will make at home!
